Cute hotel in a cute town. Just outside the castle walls so lots easier to park and still literal steps away from the central part of town. A medieval theme to the place. Room was big and nice. Didn't get a chance to try the pool!

Beautiful views from the rooms that overlook the pool. Comfortable beds and a bathroom that has all the appointments you’d expect from a nicer hotel. ||Breakfast buffet had a nice variety. Not a lot of gluten free options as buffets are tricky in that respect. ||We enjoyed our stay here as it was the end of our time in Portugal. The town of Obidos is a step back in time which is also reflected within the main hotel. The rooms are more modern in style and we appreciated that.

Hotel Real is located very near to the city in walking distance. It is an old medieval house renovated as a hotel. The room and bathrooms were nice, the furniture is a bit dated, the bathroom has a bidet. The brekfast was good, not outstanding. The hotel is a bit dark.

perfect location just outside the walled city. The hotel is uniquely decorated. Beds need new mattresses as we had springs poking us through the night. Fabulous breakfast.

Fun themed hotel. A bit hokey and strange. Mattresses were very hard . The cleaning products they use make it smell very old as well. Staff are a bit strange as well. Very affordable and close to everything.

Highly recommend the panorama rooms. We upgraded upon ck in after seeing original room. Newer and modern and much nicer rooms. Great location to the restaurants and the wall. One night was enough to see and do in this cute little town. The staff were not the most pleasant but it is what it is.

The location is excellent- right outside the wall of the old city. Very walkable. But the special treat is the view of the walls and buildings and vineyards below. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were in room 103 and had two Juliet windows that looked northeast- wow!

Overall a nice hotel located outside just the ancient city wall of Obidos. Room is clean and breakfast excellent. Staff are nice and let us check in earlier than scheduled. However, there is one point not up to my satisfaction: the hotel pre-authorized my credit card before I came and charged me the same amount plus two euros tourist tax at check out. I think this is poorly managed as there is no need to pre-authorize and unfortunately my pre-authorized amount is still not released by the banks involved up to now!!.

Yelp
A medieval hotel in a medieval town? Why not? Hotel Real D'Obidos sits just outside the wall of the city, but as you step inside its doors, you are transported to another time where the staff are dressed in period wear, the keys are giant and iron and the furnishings look like something out of a fairy tale. But while period places are not usually my thing, the rooms are comfortable ( although the wooden floors are a little squeaky for my taste), and if it was a queen sized bed, it's one of the smallest I've slept on. But the linens were clean and crisp and the room was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked and the towels are huge but know the fixtures are a little dated. Breakfast is included in the price of your room and is very good. There is everything from scrambled eggs and bacon, to meats and cheeses, fruits and sweets. Definitely worth getting up for! There is also a nice pool and indoor lounge area. All in all if you are staying in Obidos, this hotel has a great location as well as all the amenities you need. I'm just not crazy about themed hotels .

Yelp
We were not guests here, we were staying at an Airbnb in the center of the town. We could not find a single cab or Uber anywhere with our two young kids and stopped in to ask the front desk for help calling a cab, and the woman at reception would not help because we weren't staying there... despite just sitting there with nothing else to do. Amazed by the rudeness everywhere. Especially in a town that survives by tourism. Leaving with a thoroughly underwhelmed feeling from this visit.
