Hotel Regency Florence (Florence, Tuscany) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The art of hospitality is a timeless one, and the classics are every bit as satisfying as the hot new thing — maybe even more satisfying, depending on your taste. Florence is a city with great respect for tradition, and a stay in a hotel like the Hotel Regency might be just what you need to turn a visit to the Tuscan capital into a trip back in time." - Tablet Hotels

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful art and an amazing staff. Definitely among the best 5 star hotels in all of Italy. I chose it for its location close to the Duomo but was shocked to find this stunning building next to a quiet and well maintained park. There are 5-6 staff for every guest and they clearly love each other and their jobs. What really surprised me was I arrived early and in passing noted that I was leaving early and they offered to make me a breakfast togo and it was waiting for me when I checked out the next day. I literally only mentioned it and the young man remembered and got it done. Enjoying my Regency breakfast on the high speed train to Venice was a delight. The ownership with their investment and the GM with the choice of staff is without words. A staff member from the restaurant have me a warm welcome when the desk staff gave me a tour. They really make you feel like a king. Italian hospitality is superb but this hotel is world-class.

Hotel Regency Firenze is a beautiful, boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to most attractions. The entire staff (housekeeping, wait staff, maitre d', sommelier and concierge) was truly exceptional, catering to our every need. Our VIP tickets, private tour, and dinner reservations were waiting for us upon check in, and events went flawlessly. The chef of Relais le Jardin, the restaurant hotel, was truly exemplary. We returned to eat in the Bistro for a second night after our exquisite meal in the restaurant. Compliments to staff and to management for providing an unforgettable trip to Florence.

Hotel Regency Firenze is a wonderful place to stay in Florence. The staff is kind, helpful, and always smiling. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely garden where you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The breakfast was very good, with fresh and tasty options. The location is great—close to the center but quiet. The food, the service, and the calm atmosphere made everything perfect. We truly loved this hotel and would happily stay here again. A five-star experience!

Simply put, this is a fantastic hotel in a great location. It is on the quiet end of a large-ish park yet you are the middle of the bustle of Florence within a ten minute walk. It is close to multiple squares and the museum where the David sculpture is displayed. We made a couple of trips to the countryside and we were on the ring road out of town in no time.|The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. The linens were soft. Breakfast was included in our stay, which was a nice touch. The hotel also had some nice seating areas where you could either dine or just enjoy a drink. The staff was courteous and fun!

We stayed here for two nights through Hilton’s partnership with Small Luxury Hotels, but the experience was disappointing. We were not given any room upgrade or other benefits, and the hotel felt far from a true luxury or five-star standard. We were placed in a small attic room that was extremely hot from the moment we entered, and the weak air conditioning did nothing to cool it down. The furniture was outdated, with obvious rust stains on surfaces, the bathroom flooded, the shower was broken, and some pieces of furniture were unusable. While the front desk staff were friendly, other services felt unprofessional, such as being offered a staff member’s personal bottle opener instead of a proper one. Overall, the facilities and service fell well short of expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel, especially in summer.|The hotel is also not very conveniently located—most city center attractions require at least a 15–20 minute walk.

We loved everything about our 5 night stay here. We booked months in advance and the hotel staff particularly Alice Mancini reached out to ensure that they would do anything to make our stay magical. They arranged for a lovely bouquet of flowers for my wife to celebrate our anniversary. They recommended restaurants for us to celebrate. There were cookies and a lovely note welcoming us to their property. Dino at the breakfast service was so kind and professional. We appreciated how nice Milo at the front desk treated us. Gemma was delightful and could not have been more lovely. We felt very well taken care of and respected as their guests.

We stayed at Hotel Regency for our honeymoon and overall had a nice experience, though it didn’t start out perfectly. The hotel itself is charming and elegant, and the staff were consistently kind and accommodating throughout our stay. However, the original room we were placed in on our first night was underwhelming, and unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working properly. It was uncomfortable enough that we had to request a fan just to get through the night... Thankfully, because we had booked through American Express, we were able to receive a room upgrade, and the new room was exactly what we had imagined for our honeymoon (beautiful, spacious, and most importantly, cool and comfortable). While the initial room experience was not what we expected, the warm hospitality of the staff and the upgraded room helped make the rest of our stay memorable & enjoyable!

We stayed here for two nights because it is advertised as a small luxury hotel with good reviews, but the reality was disappointing. As Hilton Diamond members, we expected at least a comfortable room, but instead we were placed in a small attic room that was very hot, outdated, and poorly maintained. The mirror was covered in rust stains, one chair was completely broken, and the bathroom shower was defective with severe flooding that was never fixed during our stay. The air conditioning was weak and made the room uncomfortable, especially in the summer heat. Service was mixed—the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, but other interactions were frustrating. The staff member who came to check the broken chair was dismissive and unhelpful, and when we asked for a bottle opener, we were told we could only use a staff member’s personal opener at the door, which felt unprofessional for a hotel that calls itself “luxury.” In addition, the photos on the official website did not match the actual room we received, which was a big disappointment. Overall, while the reception staff were kind, the poor condition of the facilities and the lack of professionalism from some employees make it hard to recommend this hotel. For a property claiming four stars and a luxury experience, it fell far short of expectations.I would suggest looking for a newer, better-maintained hotel, especially if visiting during the summer.
