Hotel Regina Barcelona (Barcelona, Catalonia) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The busy blocks around Barcelona’s Plaça de Catalunya are jam-packed with hotels, but few are as historic — or as refined — as the Hotel Regina. The original hotel dates back to 1917, and many of its details remain intact, from the glamorous arched entryway with stained glass paneling to the Art Deco-style spiral staircase with hairpin-like wrought-iron railings. But the hotel was revamped in early 2024, its guest rooms refreshed and its ground-level salon and petite interior patio turned into a stylish all-day café and tapas bar." - Tablet Hotels

This is really the best 4 star hotel in Barce and what a hotel can provide(within its control), it has delivered. It is located at Placa de Catalunya which is at a shopping district, convenient to hop on-hop off tourist bus , the metro and eateries. 24 hr supermarket right across. But as it is a bustling place, you can hear some noise at night. If you are a light sleeper, I strongly suggest choosing rooms facing the courtyard. Bathroom is spacious, equipped with rainfall shower head, toiletries provided had a great scent and you can see the attention to detail when even the towels are scented and comfy bathroom slippers provided. Room is so spacious for a triple room for 3 people. Lighting is great. I question the colour choice of the corridors as it is in this dark red (abit creepy at night) but I understand it is keep to an aesthetic of the building heritage.

After a not so great experience at my last hotel I was exhausted and skeptical. Happy to say it was all for naught. Loved this hotel. Had an upgraded, large room #419. I was told it was 1 of 2 rooms that was not remodeled so it had old Spanish charm with wood floors and molded ceilings. Might not be for everyone, i adored it. No view which is fine for me as I like pitch dark when I sleep. Large window with black out curtains opens up to view of potted plants below. Bed was large and comfortable. Staff were beyond gracious. Doorman always helpful with bags, food delivery or simple conversation. I loved the location because it did not seem overly touristy. Easy taxi ride to segrada la familia. Mini mart across the street and nice pasta house around the corner.|I would absolutely stay here again. Hated to leave. Check in and check out times reasonable compared to other hotels a big plus.

Very centrally located, literally just one station away (Rodalies, not metro) from Barcelona-Sants. Literally next to Catalunya, so it's close to pretty much everything. Stayed in the Solo Room and it was indeed within expectation. Bed is for 2 people, but due to the room layout, it was definitely designated for 1 person. The convenient free water fountain on each floor is very convenient. Overall, a very good value. And the welcome drink at the bar is much appreciated.

I stayed in a triple room and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything exceeded our expectations. Aside from the location, which is on the city center, next to Plaza Cataluña, Passeig de Gracia, and a near from various metro and bus stations. The room was very beautiful and spacious, the bathroom was incredible with a shower and bathtub, and a small terrace, which was a pleasure. Despite the room having an extra bed, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was spectacular: different kinds of bread, homemade juices, excellent coffee, cold cuts... and a menu of hot dishes prepared at the moment, which were a delicious. Highly recommended La Esquina, the hotel restaurant, with very good, fresh and delicious food. The staff was totally amazing. Super attentive and friendly. Special mention to Andrea at the front desk and all the restaurant staff, who were incredibly attentive to anything you might need. Everything was wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel in Barcelona and overall had a good experience. The location is great—very central and convenient for getting around the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which we really appreciated.||However, the front desk staff didn’t leave the best impression. They didn’t seem welcoming or attentive, and were more focused on chatting with each other than helping guests. Also, it was surprising that there were no bellmen to assist with luggage—it felt a bit odd for a hotel of this level.||In short, it’s a nice hotel in a great spot, but the service definitely needs improvement. With better hospitality, this place could be much more enjoyable.

The lobby is beautiful. They have a mini bar and here comes the service which is bad, had to wait a long time because the young lady that works there, was busy giving her numbers and hehe haha to other client. When your staff makes you feel like others time are not more important, this is how you lose customer. Your employees are part of your business.

Me and my family stayed in a total of 5 nights in Regina. Very nice and cozy. The hotel crews are all very hospitable and welcoming. Not to mention the water refill system kept us hydrated in the super hot weather in the summer of Barcelona! The interior design is also nice. More specifically, it’s timeless and it feels like home. My parents said they slept very well during our staying. The location is also very nice. You can literally walk to the center of Barcelona (you can also take the subway if you want😜). Overall, it’s just a great place to stay. The price is definitely worth it.

I stayed at Hotel Regina in Barcelona for a business trip (4 nights, €190 per night including breakfast). Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel at all. My room had only a single-glazed balcony door, and the noise from the outdoor air-conditioning units was extremely loud throughout the night. I was unable to get proper rest. For this price level, I expected much better sound insulation. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel!
