Hotel Regina Madrid

Excellent location. Our room was away from the noise but centrally located where we can walk absolutely anywhere. The Staff were so accommodating and made our anniversary stay very special with our upgrade. The breakfast included had so many options, very impressed. The rooms were cleaned daily, quiet, with the exception of Hallway noise. Other than that it'd sound proof and nice and dark. Excellent shower pressure too. Some features did not work, like the speakers built in and the tv's Nerflix apps. But regardless, very very clean and comfortable. In room safe as well. Did not use gym, but it looked nice. Roof has a small terasse with lawn chairs. We had a patio as well in our room, which can be upgraded to hot tub. All in all would come back here everytime!!

I stayed here for a solo weekend trip to Madrid during Christmas and was extremely happy with my choice. The location is excellent and perfect for exploring the city. The reception staff were always friendly, helpful, and smiling. The hotel was very clean, and the housekeeping team were polite, professional, and able to communicate well in both English and Spanish. A special mention goes to the breakfast — it was absolutely stunning and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I have stayed in several hotels in Madrid but Hotel Regina has always been my best place. The true sign of caring about your customers is not when things are going well, it's when issues arrive. We were placed in a room where the heating did not work. I contacted the front desk and someone was sent to try and fix it- Gonzalo. After 30 minutes or so there was no change so I had to follow up with front desk. I was initially told that I couldn't move rooms because of availability and the manager had agreed to give us a portable heater and free dinner in the adjoining restaurant. I did not agree to this for two reasons. I had just arrived from USA on a long flight and the amount of money I paid per night to stay here. The resolution had to be different. Eventually we were given the opportunity to move to an upgraded room for 1 night but told we would have to move back once the situation was fixed. It was a little annoying but I was quite alright with 2nd option. I must say that through the entire encounter, Gonzalo was amazing!! He was empathetic, forth coming and assisted us with leaving and returning to our original room. I never spoke or saw the manager. I was only being provided info through the front desk or him. I still enjoyed my stay despite the situation. Breakfast is always one of the best parts of the stay and the hotel Christmas decorations were top notch. The outside decor was a hit! Everyone took pictures in front. Overall I was OK with how things worked out. I just think your customer service needs a bit of work when thing go awry. All I wanted was to enjoy my vacation and be comfortable and given what I paid for.

Fantastic hotel close to everything. Walking distance to museums such as El Prado, and the Reina Sofia. Also within easy walking distance to El Retiro Park. Hotel is also close to the Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Many fine restaurants are close by. ||Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was delicious.||Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect hotel. Location is perfect for being in Madrid if you want to be around all the action and main activities. The rooms were very clean and modern. Lastly the hospitality at this hotel is incredible. Staff was very friendly and always had great energy

Wonderful boutique hotel. Traveled as a family of three adults and booked the Aduana Suite which was spacious and very quiet. Upon check in the sofa bed was already set up for us; it has a thick mattress which is a lot more comfortable than the fold-out type. The king size bed area has sliding doors which can be closed to separate from the living room/sofa bed area. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean - probably the cleanest hotel I've ever been in. There were always staff at the front desk or around the door and they were all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice and didn't have to fight for seats. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in an incredible location and it is charming and clean and has all the amenities you would want. The standout though, is the staff. From the reception to housekeeping, everyone speaks English, smiles when the greet you and are eager to help you in any way that they can. They are the most considerate, professional, kind, and thoughtful staff that I have ever encountered in a hotel anywhere. And I have traveled quite a bit, let me tell you. That includes 5 star brand hotels that charge 10 times the rate that this hotel does. |And when I say they all smile, I’m not talking about a quick obligatory flash. I’m talking full-on toothpaste commercial quality smiles. |We absolutely loved this hotel and would stay here again happily

We found this hotel via booking.com and decided to reserve because of its amazing location in the center of city center. However, the location is just one of so many amazing elements of this hotel. The service was out of this world, rooms are clean and designed for comfort. As you enter the hotel you immediately get a creative vibe, the marble floors, the glass doors, mirrors every element complements the overall experience. If you are a Breakfast person you will definitely love this one. There is abundance of options from healthy, to desert. Must stay at hotel!!!

We stayed at the Hotel Regina for a week in 2024. We have never stayed in a hotel this nice with service beyond compare. They had an excellent breakfast with every selection you could imagine. The hotel's location is in the middle of everything you want to see in Madrid and surrounded by great restaurants. When we return to Madrid, we will definitely stay here.

We consider this to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It was impeccably clean and modern but didn't feel out of place with the surroundings. Situated in an incredible location for walking to the sites and restaurants. Every staff member was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was top notch. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

I'm someone who travels all the time. Hotel Regina is the best hotel I've ever stayed in by far. 1- Location: The hotel location is close to everything. Plaza Mayor, plaza del sol, gran via street, San Miguel market, train station, rotero park, and many other sites are within walking distance from the hotel. 2- Service: Staff are very very nice and professional. They will do everything to make your experience unique. 3- Cleaning: The hotel is very clean. 4- Room: The room is clean and has American outlets. Bathroom very spacious. Bed very comfortable. 5- Food: They have a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel that opens late and offers good food and service. The also have a breakfast buffet on the first floor. 5- Price: Room rate is ver reasonable. 6- Pick up service: The hotel offers airport pick service for $40

Loved this boutique hotel. Very clean and very comfortable. Request the interior rooms for a little more space but overall an excellent hotel for the price! Staff was very friendly and efficient! Best location too, walking distance to everything.

We were excited with all the positive reviews to stay at the Hotel Regina. Normally, I suspect I would have probably enjoyed my stay. However, the hotel failed to inform us that the hotel was under renovation and on my floor which would have been fine. However, the room assigned was next to a room that was under renovation. Not only was the only window in our room was covered in plastic so you cannot see out nor any light comes in, the jack hammering and construction started early at 8AM. It was not pleasant to be awakened by the noise of construction next door. No compensation or satisfactory customer service consideration was given to us. We were never told that the room assigned was next to construction. It was very disappointing in the responsiveness in the hotel. I am sure the hotel will continue to do well after the construction and renovation are completed as it is in a good and convenient location. If you have a car, they do not offer parking, but rely on a private underground parking garage about a block away at 20% discount. I was not a happy camper during this stay and I cannot say I would come back or recommend Hotel Regina due to this incident and experience.

Incredibly amazing hotel experience! Customer service was out of this world. The staff went out of their to make sure we had a 5 star experience. Location was incredible! Very close to the best tourist hotspots in Madrid. Super clean and safe! There has never been a better breakfast experience included in the price.

I would recommend staying here if you are staying in Madrid. This hotel is right by multiple metro station, which make it really easy to navigate the city. Also, it is within walking distance to alot of great bars and restaurants. They have a great restaurant in the hotel that serves a great breakfast buffet. The only reason I gave this hotel 4/5 stars is the bathroom in our room had some issues with the door frame falling and nearly hitting my girlfriend

Amazing. I would give it 5 stars if they had better breakfast options and if they had an actual king bed (expect 2 twin beds pushed together which is super annoying). Comparing it with other hotels in Madrid, is one of the best ones but the construction noise/dust of the outside just takes away from how beautiful the hotel actually is. The room was impecable. The reception staff was always so nice and willing to help. I will be back for sure and I will recommend it to friends and family.

Quick pitstop in Madrid, and this hotel did the trick. The entire design from the lobby to the rooms is slick and trendy. Location is excellent. Right on a Main Street and right next to a metro station. There were plenty of shops and restaurants to go to in the area, and since it was the weekend the streets were super alive with people walking around. In the room LED lights pop out of the wall. The room was spacious and modern. Nice wood floors, white linen and white walls with a grey accent wall. Big body pillows but two twin beds pushed together to make a queen...seems to be the standard in Spain. Bathroom was super comfortable - shower had stones as the floor. We had a room facing the street and it was very loud at times. Cars passing...ambulances...people screaming? Also the noises in the hallway were heard quite loud. But, it all calmed down at a reasonable hour, and I was so tired I knocked out. Nice restaurant in lobby, but we didn't get to try it. Super nice staff at the front desk made check in and out super easy.

Location, location, location! This place is perfectly centered in the Puerta Del Sol neighborhood, and conveniently located by the Sevilla and Puerta Del Sol Metro stations, which makes going to/from Barajas Airport very easy and convenient. The hotel itself is pretty modern in terms with updated bathrooms and guest rooms, which is very nice. From the outside, the hallways and the lobby, the hotel looks kind of old, so I am glad at least the rooms/bathrooms are fairly new! The bathroom includes a standard toilet and for those who like to wash their butts, a bidet! I personally didn't use the bidet. The hotel also offers free wifi, which was pretty spotty from my room. The wifi signal is stronger, as you might expect, I'm the lobby area... Which can get pretty filled with visitors on their iPhones and iPads. With spotty Internet it definitely made looking things up to eat and do a bit harder than usual... That and Facebook and Instagram was hard to use without a strong wifi signal! There also aren't ice machines in the hotel, so if you want to get ice you'll have to ask for a bolsa de hielo from the restaurant. If the restaurant is closed, a member of the front desk can help you grab a bag. The front desk are very friendly and helpful. I had a RyanAir flight to catch, and because I didn't print my boarding pass before I travelled abroad, I needed to print it out so that I wouldn't be charged an arm and a leg for printing my boarding pass at the airport. The front desk helped me out and printed the passes for me, which was great. Overall, I was pleased with Hotel Regina even with the minor annoyance of spotty Internet. The hotel offers a reasonably priced accommodation with great staff and a great location!

My memory isn't always the best, but I'm pretty darn sure this is the same place I stayed at the last time I was in Madrid - about 14 years ago. Unless there's another schwanky hotel right next door (I don't think there is), it is the same place. I loved it last time I went and I loved it this time. I can't emphasize enough how close to everything this hotel is. It's only blocks from Plaza del Sol which more or less connects you with outlets to various parts of the city -- all of which are close. Our room was spotless and modern. There's not a thing I could say against it. There was no view to speak of, we were somewhere near the back of the building, but frankly, we were happy with that. The hotel is situated on a main street that may (or may not) have been noisy overnight. Our room was quiet and that suited us just fine. The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. When we needed dinner reservations, they handled that for us. Just nice. We did have dinner at the restaurant and while it was good, we didn't love it. It was a bit of money to spend on something we didn't like that much. I felt like they were too concerned with how the food looked than how it might have tasted. Otherwise, as a hotel alone, I would HIGHLY recommend.

Great location...great personnel! The price was right for our two nights in Madrid. Centrally located we never took a cab! Rooms are comfortable too!!

Beautiful hotel and very clean. Do NOT expect to be treated in a professional manner in the restaurant if you are an American or have blonde hair. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and tried to get a table for dinner on the last evening. The hostess told us there were no tables available and then seated four groups of people with no reservations after us. We then sat at the bar and had to request menus. After giving us menus they refused to serve. We complained to the hostess and she re-seated us. After we were reseated they ignored us again. Finally, out of frustration we walked up to the front desk to express our concerns and were told by the person who checked us in that she did not understand English. It was interesting because when we checked in she spoke fluent English and brought us to our room and clearly described all of the amenities. This is one of the worst experiences we've had and all of our travels.

I never leave reviews on hotels but Hotel Regina was fantastic! Check in was great and the girl at the front desk took the time to give us a map and point out all of the spots we should visit. We were always greeted when we walked through the door. You can not beat this location it was central to everything and was hard not to walk by on our way to something which was perfect to step in and freshen up before going back out again. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms and they were beautiful! The bathrooms was huge and we loved the shower! The bed was huge and very comfortable. Next to the bedside you have light-switches available that let you completely blackout the room!! The breakfast was pretty good, but the coffee was very good! Overall you can not go wrong with booking the hotel, you will not regret it!

Let's be real. People write reviews based off emotion. Either things are really bad or really good. Hotel Regina is the latter. I'm on day 1 of a 4 day stay and from the second I walked in the door I was blown away. From the lobby to the room this place elegant, clean, and nicely renovated. I just left a "5-star hotel" in Barcelona and this place is leaps and bounds better. I highly recommend it and would return on my next trip to Madrid without a second thought. Day 2: There was significant noise in the hallway this morning... turns out there is no soundproofing in the hallway/door? We could hear people just walking by our room without speaking.

I actually stayed at another hotel for my 2 nights in Madrid which was alright, but the location wasn't nearly as good as Hotel Regina. Unfortunately due to bad travel luck, I ended up having to stay in Madrid for an extra night by myself after I had already checked out of my other hotel. I booked at Hotel Regina online about an hour before I checked in and got an amazing deal online and decided that since it was my last night of vacation and I was already stressed about having to stay for an extra night, I decided to pay a bit extra and spring for a room with a private balcony. It wasn't much more expensive at all, but it was TOTALLY worth it. I only stayed there for one night, but the room was so clean and very large when I walked in, and the bed was so huge, it probably could have fit 3 people. The location was amazing, right off of the main street and walking distance to the Prado as well. It is also close enough to several bars and clubs if you are interested in going out. The location was amazing, and very safe seeing as how I was staying there by myself. Initially I was a little hesitant to go out and wander around by myself, but there were several people walking all around the streets, and always felt so safe. The room was very quite, so I slept like a baby, and in the morning, I was able to enjoy an amazing breakfast on my huge private balcony, and it just made the whole thing feel like such a classy, luxury experience. I will absolutely be staying at Hotel Regina when I return back to Madrid!!

This was a great place to stay! The staff was friendly and the location was PERFECT! Walking distance from main plazas and great sites made staying at Hotel Regina wonderfully convenient. A majority of the staff knew both Spanish and English. Additionally, I felt very safe staying here since the main doors locked at night and reception was open all night monitoring the hotel. La ubicación esta perfecto porque esta cerca de muchas plazas. También la gente era simpático y útil. El personal sabe español y inglés. También, me sentí muy segura porque la puerta principal cerrado a noche y la zona de recepción estaba abierto todo del noche.

This hotel was surprisingly good. Located slap bang in the centre of Madrid, near Puerto del Sol, I was expecting a tourist dive. But it was OK, my room was nice and well appointed plus EUR75 a night a complete bargain. Unfortunately it was pretty near the lift so I got woken up by late night revellers quite often each night. Wifi was free (although was too slow to use on the second day) plus it works in the very nice juice bar next door. So probably 4 stars really, but because of the nocturnal disturbance I took away a star. However at this price I would stay again

Stayed here on our trip to Madrid and we could not be happier with our choice. The location is amazing. It is a very sleek and boutique style hotel, but most importantly the service was spectacular. They checked us in early, brought fruits and champagne to our room, curtesy of the hotel. We were impressed and very pleased!

This was our first hotel (we stayed at 4 places in Spain, some hotels, some not, before all was said and done) and all I can remember about it was that I wasn't upset. Knowing that I'm a jappy clean freak (I always check for bedbugs before I'll sit on the bed, and give the bathroom a once over before I'll commit to staying put), it must have been a nice enough place to stay, I don't remember having any complaints at all. Also, it is centrally located, (really close to Puerta Sol and walking distance from everything I wanted to see) even more so than the other place we stayed in in Madrid, which was substantially hipper. Is it the 4 seasons? No, but it'll do the trick.

Pro: 1. Location! From Hotel Regina you can reach nearly every tourist attractions by feet, for example Prado Museum, Porta del Sol, Plaza Mayor or the Royal Palace. 2. Delicious Breakfast Buffet. Whatever you like they have it. Spanish, English or continental breakfast, everything is available 3. Newly renovated rooms Why only one star then? Here are the cons: 1. Renovated rooms means that renovation is still ongoing. Which means if you want to relax after a full day of sightseeing you can get into problems when next door jackhammer or drills are used until early in the evening. 2. WiFi connection is really poor. It worked on Tuesday and Wednesday but broke down the rest of the week on the 4th floor. I told the management, nothing happened. It was not the problem of my smartphone as I went downstairs in the lobby at least I got some kind of poor WiFi connection. 3. It seems as the Hotel is used by US students, for them it is the first trip without mommy and daddy in a country allowing alcohol consumption before the age of 21, this results in loud discussions on the floor about the night event planning staring at 22hrs until midnight, screaming and banging doors. And finally in the early morning in a desperate attempt to wake these drunken guys up by hammering against their doors and shouting. If I want to stay at a youth hostel I would have booked one.

I was very impressed!! We stayed here 3 nights to start off our 2 week tour of Spain trip. The room was beautiful. Very comfortable bed. And they provided shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap!!! (never thought I would be impressed by a hotel providing basic toiletries, but after staying in the rest of our hotels on the trip, umm, looking back I am impressed) They gave us a room with a WONDERFUL terrace! Totally cool to have an extra space to enjoy the nice weather after a long day of sight seeing. Perfect location! Actually could not have been in a better location. Got to and from the airport/train station from the Seville and Sol metro stops. So easy breezy. Stop researching, just stay here.

A solid 3 star hotel. The reception folks are friendly and helpful. When checking out today, the woman at reception offered to watch my luggage, which was generous. My room was cleaned every day, meticulously. The laundry service was done the same day, but at 60 Euro for a modest amount of clothing. My only complaint is that the shower has stones set in the floor, which make for wanting to take short showers. The hotel is at an excellent location relative to the Prado, the Puerta del Sol, and many restaurants. The Casino de Madrid is two doors down. Last note: you can hear people talking on the telephone through the walls. That said, the hotel is relatively tranquil. I'd stay again.

We had layover in Madrid for one day, we been in Hotel Regina. My favorite part of the hotel was the cute little restaurant/ coffee viewing the street. You can seat there for hours watching all the people passing by. Also they make great cup of coffee

A friend who lives in Madrid recommended the Hotel Regina for our short two-night stay in the city. The price was right and the location was ideal for such a quick visit. It was easy walking distance to all the sights on our abbreviated itinerary. Some limited signs of an on-going remodeling were evident but not a problem. The free wifi, wonderful shower, comfortable bed, and overall size were what we needed. The room did not have a view. Two windows opened onto a narrow enclosed space. We did not need a view-- we did not plan to stay in the room except to shower and sleep. Given the noise of the busy street filled with holiday-time crowds and traffic, we were grateful for the "courtyard". The room was very quiet. We would stay again at the Hotel Regina if we are fortunate enough to return to Madrid.

Pros: Nice multi-lingual staff, central location, nice rooms, clean, offers a deal for the in-house restaurant and breakfast buffet (50% off) upon arrival, and it's a good deal for what you get. Cons: Mattresses aren't the best, not exactly sound proof rooms, lack of cabs, spotty wi-fi. Okay, under my "Cons", there wasn't a lack of cabs in the area, but... Maybe it's my spoiled American nature, but I have never been to a hotel who didn't hail a cab for patrons who are departing for the airport. Wait. It's not my spoiled American nature because every hotel I've been in Europe, Asia, and North America has done so! We didn't lack for cabs, but this was just bizarre. Heck, the last Madrid hotel I was in not only got a cab for my family, but they bellman gave the cab the instructions in English (I speak Spanish, so I know there was no funny dealings going on :-p). Apart from the cab issue at the end of our trip, the staff here was friendly and accommodating. All-in-all, this is a good value hotel and worth a try, but next time I'm in Madrid, I'll probably try somewhere else.

This is a new (or recently renovated) hotel in the heart of downtown Madrid, and it is really nice. As in all of Europe, the rooms are small, however, they are superb. The decor is modern but warm, extremely well done. The bed is quite comfortable with lots of pillows. The light switches and the shutter controls are new-fangled and take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, they are really cool. It's got lots of electrical outlets, a USB charging port, a huge TV, an ironing board and a good steam iron, and excellent closet space. Additionally, it has a Nespresso coffee maker, a safe and a minibar. No snacks though. The bathroom is modern and roomy with all the amenities you could wish for, and the shower is phenomenal. Breakfast was included and definitely well worth the price; it was varied, high-quality and delicious. This hotel was a great discovery, and I will be staying here again.

This hotel's location is walking distance to most if not all sightseeing attractions. Best way to arrive from the airport is to take the shuttle bus, the bus stop is walking distance to the hotel. Their customer service is amazing, they are very accommodating, and courteous. I had to switch rooms, so they upgraded me to a nicer suite and provided me with free breakfast at their buffet restaurant. The beds are awesome in the renovated suites. I would stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights while in Madrid in March of 2018. We arrived on a flight from the United States early in the morning and the hotel was gracious enough to find us a room before the posted check-in time. The staff at the hotel were beyond wonderful in the level of service they provided all through our stay. The main lobby area of the hotel includes a nice bar area where you can get a great cup of Cafe Con Leche. It also includes a restaurant. The breakfast in the restaurant is a full buffet, with true continental choices as well as a full English breakfast. The hotel rooms are very comfortable and "up to date". The beds provided a great night's sleep and helped us get past jet-lag. The hotel's location is wonderful. It was an easy walk to many Madrid spots, including the Prado and Cardomomo Flamenco.

This very centrally located Hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. The only issue we had were the loudness of the hallway movement, cleaning staff starting a tad earlier than should, and there is a shaft going through hotel if which your room is near, is extremely noisy and loud. Reason: bathroom window and room window open out to the shaft, so you hear everybodies business and I mean every business...wink, wink.
