Hotel Residence

Let's start by saying about the property itself. It's at the top of the town and offers free parking with the stay. They also give you a card that gets you discounts on attractions and restaurants in the town ( the cable cars included).||The staff we encountered were all very pleasant.||The hotel is dated, very dated. Although our room was very clean there weren't any curtains, The toilet was also stained and there was a lack of pillows with no option of extra. ||There was a storm brewing and so we decided to leave the restaurant in town and rush back to the hotel bar. It was 8pm the bar area was all locked up. So what could have been a good night ended up with an early night watching the storm through a curtain less window ( it did have a net curtain).|This would have been 2 star rating but the breakfast was excellent and upped my rating

Good location in Grindelwald, close to the bus stop and Jungfraujoch. Nice view, helpful English-speaking staff. Room was clean but smelled musty, no fridge, TV not working. Overall average for the price.

The hotel room I stayed in only had a thin, sheer white curtain, which allowed a significant amount of light to enter once the sun rose at 5:30 AM. As a result, the room became very bright early in the morning, and I found myself waking up around 5 or 6 AM each day, unable to continue sleeping. Additionally, since the room faced west, it became extremely hot in the afternoon, almost like an oven, with no adequate shading or means to reduce the heat.

Excellent little hotel with renovated rooms, a stunning view of the glacier, a fabulous breakfast buffet, a coffee shop next door, and within walking distance to restaurants. What more do you want? The people leaving two-star reviews are crazy.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, with views to the glacier from a nice, comfortable balcony. The rooms are modern and really comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Great experience.

The rooms are good. Perfect location. The lady in the reception, Matina was pretty kind and helpful. But regarding the bathrooms could have been better.

Very good location. The room come with very nice view. You can enjoy your dinner with the mountain view.

The hotel is great. Our room was not updated but we saw there were other rooms that were. Location is great the breakfast buffet is good
