We stayed here very recently, end of March to early April 2018 for 10 days. The concierge staff (kudos to Qaisir and Xavier) was excellent in keeping up with correspondences, arranging transportation, making recommendations for dinners and making the reservations. They were always polite, attentive and caring. The hotel is at the very end of Rue des Bernardins, intersecting with Rue des Ecoles. Parc Langevin is immediately next door. This is the Quartier Latin! Quiet street, but within walking distance to the quais of the Seine, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, rue Mouffe, Boul Mich, Luxembourg Gardens, Hemingway's Paris, Place St Michel, Ile de la Cite, Ile St Louis, Shakespeare and Company, Odettes, open air markets, and so much more. We stayed in a classic standard room, #20, the Rabelais. It had a small balcony, canopied bed, marble bathroom with an ultra modern bidet that came not only with instructions, but a remote control! Algotherm toiletries (top of the line!), scrungie to wash with, rainforest shower head, hand held shower sprayer, plus the ability to just soak in the tub. On the sides of the tub, near the bottom, are twinkling lights, and if you need to use the bathroom at night, a light illuminates near the toilette area. The mirror is bordered by rhinestone like stones that lend to the beauty of the room, and for those who like heated towels, there is also a heated towel rack. And 'yes', cant forget the hairdryer on the wall near that beautiful mirror. The beds were absolutely comfortable as well. You have the small kitchenette to store food items that you may purchase while out, plus a one stove burner. There is culinary, cups, glasses. So convenient. There are wardrobes for clothing, safe in wardrobe, 2 free bottles of water, free slippers, and free WIFI. The rooms are kept exceptionally clean. We did have breakfast every morning downstairs in the quaint dining room where yogurts, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and organic rolls and breads were served along with your hot beverage of choice. You can order eggs but that is additional. However, I took advantage of oeufs sur le plat every morning! You may also request to have breakfast in your room,, and there is room service for other meals. Remember, this is a small boutique hotel, only 13 rooms (some suites large enough to accommodate families), small Parisian elevator, small lobby. I loved it for its coziness and Parisian charm and decor, excellent personnel, and will always stay here when I visit Paris again.
