I have stayed at many hotels in many locations in Paris over the years, ranging from budget-friendly hotels for my daughter, who is a student, to five star luxury hotels for special occasions. If you are looking for something in a great location and a good value, then this is a fantastic and well-run hotel in a great location in the fifth arrondissement. We were given a complementary upgrade to a suite, which was a very nice gesture. The hotel is an older historic building, and just a few blocks from the Seine. The bathroom was recently renovated with a modern rainfall shower, small kitchenette, and a pretty little terrace with table and chairs overlooking a small park. The neighborhood is very quiet and I slept well on a good mattress. Rooms are very clean. There is breakfast offered, but we did not eat at the hotel. Reception staff is always very courteous and professional. The decor of the rooms was intentionally done in a vintage style, but we found it to be very charming. This is not a bells and whistles hotel, but as I said, if you are looking for a good value in a great location within walking distance to most everything, clean, courteous staff, updated bathroom, and breakfast available if you want it, then this is a great little place to stay.

Lovely, charming, small hotel with character. No elevator but spiral staircase going up 4 floors. Ask for a lower floor if you don't like stairs! Our room was cozy and beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, small kitchenette, coffee, electric kettle, refrigerator, etc. Bathroom was new and also beautiful. Tall french doors to a small balcony. Made me feel that I was truly in Paris! Friendly and helpful staff - appreciate the surprise bottle of champagne they left us one day! Also in a great location, very close to Notre Dame and easy to walk to the metro, Louvre, Pantheon, etc. It is a quieter neighborhood than Marais which we appreciated. Wonderful stay!

✨ Bonjour from Paris 🇫🇷✨||Staying at the charming Hôtel Résidence Henri IV, tucked away in the heart of the historic Latin Quarter, was an absolute delight. Our suite, named “Louis XIV”, felt like stepping into a little Parisian fairy tale.||🏰 From the ornate ceilings and antique-style décor to the elegant furniture and rich royal tones, every detail whispers classic French charm. The suite had a cozy living room with French windows opening onto a quiet street, a bedroom draped in regal fabrics, and a marble-clad bathroom that felt so luxurious. Even a little kitchenette added a homely Parisian apartment touch.||💫 What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere — warm, elegant, and intimate. And I must highlight the staff: super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They truly made us feel at home in Paris.||❤️ A perfect hideaway to enjoy the art de vivre in Paris. Definitely worth staying here again! ✨🌹

Excellent small boutique hotel in the Latin Quarter with outstanding staff. We stayed here five nights. Located on a very quiet street. Only has 13 rooms but it is in top notch condition, extraordinarily clean. Definitely deserves the four star rating. Staff was totally professional and accommodating. A short walk from Notre Dame and the Cluny Museum. Quiet and safe location. Not a touristy neighborhood. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Will stay here again.

Hotel Residence Henri IV is a lovely little hotel (13 rooms) on a quiet street right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The facilities are beautiful. I chose a room with a balcony which was nice to get fresh air or have coffee/a glass of wine upon. I really enjoyed room service - delicious breakfast and a gentle way to enter the day! Huge lattes!!!

My fourth or fifth stay. Always a delight to come home to residence with a functional kitchen area in each room. Great location on the left bank. Notre Dame and the Pantheon are a short walk away. ||I only wish there were a few English language TV stations. CNN and BBC did not always work. I love the place anyway.

Yelp
We stayed in this lovely hotel in April 2019. Hicham was very helpful giving us transportation recommendations as we toured Paris. Our room was lovely, especially the bathroom. After doing a lot of walking in Paris it was great to soak in a tub. I would highly recommend this quaint hotel in Paris.

Yelp
We stayed here in the Latin Quarter and is walking distance from several Metro Stations. The staff is great and can speak English, so you are not stuck, and are more than happy to help you with whatever you need. Also their morning breakfast is excellent and I would highly recommend. Their pastries and coffee is fantastic and will change your views of the normal North American breakfast. The hotel is also very close to an active street market that is open every second day and if you have a chance, you really need to take it in. Their produce is awesome.

Yelp
Stayed on the top floor which was nice because we had a balcony! The breakfast was okay, 3 pastries each plus coffee and juice and applesauce but not worth 16 euros. We went down the street and got pastries and juice and used the kitchen to make food. Much more cost effective than their breakfast. The staff was nice and told us about this restaurant that was really good! Overall, our experience here was good. The studio was like the movie Ratatouille which we tried to find by the way and they had it in a market up the street! Only one star less because their hair dryer sucked. I couldn't even use the thing, it was like emitting this awful smell and made my hair smell so I had to air dry the whole 8 days. Bring your own hair dryer!

Yelp
We stayed here very recently, end of March to early April 2018 for 10 days. The concierge staff (kudos to Qaisir and Xavier) was excellent in keeping up with correspondences, arranging transportation, making recommendations for dinners and making the reservations. They were always polite, attentive and caring. The hotel is at the very end of Rue des Bernardins, intersecting with Rue des Ecoles. Parc Langevin is immediately next door. This is the Quartier Latin! Quiet street, but within walking distance to the quais of the Seine, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, rue Mouffe, Boul Mich, Luxembourg Gardens, Hemingway's Paris, Place St Michel, Ile de la Cite, Ile St Louis, Shakespeare and Company, Odettes, open air markets, and so much more. We stayed in a classic standard room, #20, the Rabelais. It had a small balcony, canopied bed, marble bathroom with an ultra modern bidet that came not only with instructions, but a remote control! Algotherm toiletries (top of the line!), scrungie to wash with, rainforest shower head, hand held shower sprayer, plus the ability to just soak in the tub. On the sides of the tub, near the bottom, are twinkling lights, and if you need to use the bathroom at night, a light illuminates near the toilette area. The mirror is bordered by rhinestone like stones that lend to the beauty of the room, and for those who like heated towels, there is also a heated towel rack. And 'yes', cant forget the hairdryer on the wall near that beautiful mirror. The beds were absolutely comfortable as well. You have the small kitchenette to store food items that you may purchase while out, plus a one stove burner. There is culinary, cups, glasses. So convenient. There are wardrobes for clothing, safe in wardrobe, 2 free bottles of water, free slippers, and free WIFI. The rooms are kept exceptionally clean. We did have breakfast every morning downstairs in the quaint dining room where yogurts, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and organic rolls and breads were served along with your hot beverage of choice. You can order eggs but that is additional. However, I took advantage of oeufs sur le plat every morning! You may also request to have breakfast in your room,, and there is room service for other meals. Remember, this is a small boutique hotel, only 13 rooms (some suites large enough to accommodate families), small Parisian elevator, small lobby. I loved it for its coziness and Parisian charm and decor, excellent personnel, and will always stay here when I visit Paris again.

Yelp
We feel so lucky to have found this hotel! It was exactly what we were looking for. The location is wonderful-just 5 minutes from Notre Dame. It is in a great location. There is a small market around the corner and a patisserie just a block or so away. They have a wonderful onsite breakfast with the best orange juice we have ever had! We also appreciated the staff. They were very helpful during our 9 night stay. When one of us required medical assistance they graciously made arrangements for us to see a doctor. We have recommended this hotel to several friends. We had a lovely time!
