Hotel Residence La Luna Nel Porto

The hotel sits above a gas station, so you can not see it directly from the road unless you look up.||Once you go up the stairs from the road, you enter into a lovely garden with astonishing views of the lake and mountains. ||In the reception you are greeted by the lovely and smiling receptionist - “Analena” went out of her way to get a room ready for us. She even cleaned it, because the room was not ready yet!||Every morning we had a lovely breakfast for only 5 euros? ||We were very happy with our stay, and we extended 2 times because of the beautiful hotel and great service. ||We will go back in 2026

Stunning location , brilliant staff, great breakfast. Our terrace overlooked the lake, the road in front was quiet and we had no difficulty sleeping. Two minutes from the ferry and five from lots of restaurants. The staff make it though. Thanks to Alessia , Elena and Caterina for their friendly service and excellent english. The 5 euro breakfast is outstanding value, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, bread and jam , croissant and small cake. Cannot recommend highly enough. We ate at rosa da venti next door and lago maggiore many times and both excellent.

I have just returned home today from a 7 night stay at this fabulous hotel. Where do I start! It was amazing in every way. The reception staff are just the best. Thankyou so much Alessia, Elena and Catorina for making our holiday even more incredible :) I had read many reviews before my trip saying how great the staff are, but I had no idea how much! Always happy to help and with a smile on their faces, which is rare nowadays! I relaxed the moment I arrived, and didn’t not want to leave today!! We booked a lake view room, wow! It was everything we dreamt it would be. Very spacious and beautiful views. Walking distance to everywhere in Stresa, in a perfect location.

We had a really great stay here with our 3 and 6 year olds. The photos don't do the rooms any justice. The styling is old Italian, but the rooms are huge and well maintained. The balcony is as large as some hotel rooms in major cities. It's also across the street from the ferry terminal and about a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. A huge bonus is this hotel has laundry machines. If you're like us and travelling through Europe for multiple weeks with kids who can't hold their own baggage yet, cutting the amount of clothes you bring in half because you can wash it is priceless.

To begin, the staff were absolutely phenomenal here. Super polite, super friendly, there wasn't a single request they didn't support us with. All with a smile! I have to give special mention to Katerina, but all were excellent.|The location is excellent, overlooking the lake and about 3 minutes walk from the center of town. The room was tidy, clean and the decoration was very cute. The breakfast is enormous. Overall the room was great value for money, would definitely stay here again! :)

We had a lovely stay, made all the better by the very friendly staff. Our suite was huge and comfortable with doors out to a garden area just for us. Comfortable big bed. Amazing views of Lake Maggiore. It was very close to the old town, less than five minutes walk and the same distance to the ferry terminal for boats on Lake Maggiore and the Borromeo Islands so excellent location.|Just continental breakfast served (town restaurants all so close for main meals). I need gluten free and they catered very well for me.|The staff were all very friendly, helpful and kind, would really recommend this hotel.

This hotel is hard to find it sits above a row of businesses and a little set back so at street level there is just a small entrance and a lift or stairs to take you to the entrance level.|There was usually one member of staff manning reception, serving drinks and breakfast and the three of them interchanged on shifts. Once there were two of them together. They were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful with great language skills and we had the Italian breakfast which was very good and great value set up outside or inside and well presented by the staff.|The downstairs reception etc. was very clean. |The location is perfect, a short stroll from the ferry terminal and the main centre with many restaurants. |We had a large suite overlooking the lake with two front facing balconies and a side one.|Bed was comfortable and the bed linen was very clean and we slept well.|The biggest problem was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The floor was full of previous|occupants’ hairs, the area around the toilet was full of dust and stains including the radiator and the shower wasn’t clean. This was all completely unacceptable to us. There were some other unclean spots including the bedside lamp shades thick with dust, the couch in the lounge was dirty and that seemed to be also a pull out bed. The kitchen which we didn’t use was behind a sliding partition which was dirty. |These unclean areas overshadowed what would otherwise have been a very pleasant stay.

The location is best in Stresa, near to everywhere of the tourist places. The port of ferry is opposite of hotel, the centrum of town is just one minutes to walk. The suite balkan is face to the Maggiore lake. You can see the beautiful Borromeo islands.The receptionists are very friendly and professional. They give useful information for the guests such as Stresa train situation and call local taxis for the guests. The suite room is big and the bed very comfort. Also there is kitchen for the family tourists long stay are useful. The suite is modern design and nice deco. This 3 star hotel is with 5 star quality and high value. I will strong recommend to the friends and other tourists for visiting to Stresa.
