Location just an alley to the left off village centre is lovely. The hotel building itself is a vernacular restoration to look at. |The room and the wooden staircase follows any reasonable expectations. And so was our spacious well furnished room with no balcony. Few stairs down we could use the the nice midlevel room with a terrace. This is absolutely a memorable few nights stay for walks and travels around the Madonie marvel.

Well positioned in this beautiful hill top town. We stayed for 2 nights which allowed us to explore the town. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was local cakes and other expected options. Not expansive but enough and very fresh. Parking is straight forward in close by public area. Staff very welcoming. Even though small town good restaurant options as well.

Consuelo and Concetta are two smart , efficient and friendly receptionists at this quaint, unique hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the breakfast is always generous and fresh. Top marks, keep it up!

What a lovely surprise to find that our hotel in the highest village in the Madonie mountains, the medieval town of Petralia Soprana, was every bit as charming as the town. The beautiful stone-walled hotel is in an old palazzo that has been renovated to a very high standard, with very comfortable and fresh rooms with simple wooden furnishings, extremely comfortable beds and postcard perfect views from the shuttered windows. Our room was very quiet, light and spacious and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the good free wi-fi, the free drinks in the fridge, and the simple, plentiful breakfast. The staff are on hand 24-hours and are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Hotel Resistenza Petra was a very pleasant surprise, as was the town. Petralia Soprana is a gem of a small hilltop town, small enough to walk from end to end (cathedral to cathedral) easily, but with just enough restaurants and shops to be interesting, and featuring a tiny piazza out of a movie set. Given the size of the town, we were not expecting accommodations as elegant and lovely as this. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable (with a mini-fridge with free drinks). The location is perfect, a one- minute walk from the piazza and no more than five minutes from anything else. Parking is nearby and free. What’s more there are minimal narrow winding streets to negotiate: directions are very straightforward. Concetta, the manager, is wonderful. She speaks fluent English (and French) and is super nice and helpful. Her recommendation for dinner, Lu Carme, resulted in the best meal of our three weeks in Sicily and Sardinia. Breakfast was excellent. All in all, a great place!

We were greeted by a friendly welcome and the level of service continued throughout the stay. The hotel staff were helpful throughout and the 24hr concierge was welcomed. We booked the junior suite for one night, a rustic room on the second floor that had been sympathetically modernised with underfloor heating and a new bathroom suite. A mini-bar of refreshments was included. We also had a view of Etna and surrounding mountains out of the window. The room was very clean and the shuttered windows kept the room really dark, great for a lie-in! ||We drank at the reasonably priced bar, taking these to the higher floors to enjoy the view from comfy sofas. The breakfast was an excellent selection including local produce such as ham and cheese (ricotta!), breads, pastries and cakes, juices and freshly made coffee.||Highly recommended if you want a base to explore the surrounding area. |

Was very excited about this place as all review said Its a great place. We are usually neither demanding or negative, but this stay did not meet our expectations at all. Bed was very hard and uncomforable. Wifi was terrible and breakfast only served the bare minimum - and even the minimum was pretty stale and artificial.||Staff was ok friendly, and room was clean but that is all there is to say for the positives.

We stayed here on a rainy May day and enjoyed the cosiness of the renovated room, with underfloor heating and warm bathroom. With its high ceiling I think it would be equally attractive on a summer day. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered tea and they bought it up with a bowl of biscuits. The breakfast was exceptional because of a nifty little device on the buffet table that cooks a hardboiled egg to your specifications in minutes. The server rushed over and operated it for me, before I mistakenly cracked open a raw egg, thinking it was a cold hard-boiled egg as on other buffets in Sicily. IA warm soft-boiled egg was a treat! But the rest of the buffet was good too - not just pink ham and yellow cheese but traditional sausage, good cakes etc.
