First, the staff at this hotel were exceptional. Marco, Vincent, and the rest of the reception and concierge team went above and beyond to help us ship our souvenirs, navigate the city, and make phone calls or book excursions with places that did not speak English. The rest of the staff were also friendly and attentive, often anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask. With Hilton status, we were able to relax in a very comfortable lounge while we waited for our room to be ready after arriving early, and we even enjoyed chatting with another couple there. The location was perfect as well: the MRT station right outside the hotel is just one stop from Taipei Main Station, which made getting to the airport, other parts of the city, and even the High Speed Rail extremely convenient.
The amenities were another highlight. The hotel had fully stocked vending machines offering much more than the usual snacks, including items like ramen and beauty face masks. There were also laundry machines available, which made it easy to leave the hotel with clean clothes and lightened the packing load.
Starbucks was an unexpected perk. Before 9:30 a.m., the attached Starbucks is reserved exclusively for hotel guests, and the space itself is modern, comfortable, and beautifully lit. The Starbucks staff worked hard every morning and delivered service that felt a step above what is typically experienced at the brand.
