The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Woke up to amazing views. Stayed the night of Christmas Eve. The staff were very friendly and very kind. They even gave us gifts for Christmas, which was very sweet. I booked the dormitory room and it’s way better than most dorms in Switzerland. I’ve stayed in many dorms in Switzerland and compared to them this is one of the nicest places and worth the money. Walls are pretty thin and not very well insulated , luckily it wasn’t a busy night at the hotel (I honestly don’t expect sound proof rooms for dorms). Breakfast was a buffet - with usual Swiss hotel breakfast. The staff gave me some good advice on places to visit based on the weather that day which was very useful. Overall, I had a nice stay.

Our experience started in the worst way possible. We had notified them in advance that our flight from Europe was delayed and that we would arrive after midnight. With our limited internet, we were using it primarily for GPS to find our way to the accommodation, which was already fully paid for (over €1000).||Upon arrival, we knocked on the door for assistance. To our dismay, a woman from reception opened the door and immediately started shouting at us. Instead of a welcome, she scolded us for knocking at that hour and snapped that we should have read a message with the check-in instructions (which, given the circumstances, we had not been able to check).|The treatment was so unpleasant that it escalated to her threatening not to let us enter or stay for the night, despite having fully paid for the booking. It was only after an argument and the intervention of another gentleman that we were finally able to check in. This man, it should be noted, was correct and showed us to our room.|It is a shame that such an unpleasant and annoying start overshadowed the entire stay. While the continental breakfast was fina and the views from the hotel are beautiful, the room cleaning was very basic.||However, none of that makes up for the disrespect, aggressiveness, and shameful attitude of the night receptionist. She even chose to speak in a different language during her tirade, apparently so we wouldn't understand her. Her refusal to provide her name speaks for itself.|It's not just the bad welcome; it's the feeling that paying such a significant amount of money doesn't even guarantee a minimum of professionalism and human decency. I do not recommend it and we will certainly not be returning.

Location was good. The breakfast was good enough with a selection of savoury and sweet options. The walls of the rooms were quite thin and we were kept up late by the next door guests. Overall experience was average.

The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. I stayed in a dormitory bed. The walls are so thin, I feel like I’m part of the conversation next door!😄 The room was quite small and there was no common lounge area, just a small dining space. It provided basic utensils, a microwave, an electric kettle, and coin-operated washers and dryers. However, there was no refrigerator. The bathrooms and toilets were very clean, and complimentary body wash and shampoo were provided.

This place exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfect—from the view and the room to the breakfast and the shower. I had a stunning view of the mountains and Grindelwald’s green meadows right from my window. The shower had excellent water pressure, probably the best I’ve ever seen. Housekeeping was fantastic, changing all the towels and tidying up the room every single day. Breakfast was very filling, with fresh coffee, bread, fruit, and yogurt. Plus, if you book through their website, you’ll receive a free voucher for beer or wine. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Open rooms without heating, a little humid. Rooms modest but functional. the room has a sink but toilets and showers outside the room. The atmosphere is very good and the view of the mountain is beautiful,I'd come again

The room was basic that fit a family of five very comfortably. Beds were comfortable and warm and the views are amazing. The loft was so fun, but don’t recommend it with children under age 6 for up there unless they have a gate. breakfast was just OK not much selection but better than nothing.

Worst service of my life in the restaurant. The waitress argued with us, had no chill, was in a rush, forgot out starters and desserts. I was charged for things she forgot to bring out too and she didnt take it off and she even gave me cookies to bring to my own table too. The pork was good but the Beef Stroganoff tasted more like a bad Tikka Masala than anything that resembled Stroganoff. Edit: Sorry if the review is confusing. We were there on July 25, charged for 2 garlic breads but got one. The waitress forgot the stargers and we had to remind her when dinner was brough out for us but we didnt mind having less that the time since dinner was brought out but I was charged for 2. For dessert, it seems like it was forgotten as she looked to us and mouthed a cursed and ran quickly back to the kitchen and came out with the desserts.
