Hotel Alpenblick Mürren

We loved this hotel! The owner Jeanette was so hospitable and kind! It was just a short walk from the train station on level ground to get here, which was quite nice with luggage and after a long day of hiking. The quality of the food in the restaurant for dinner was excellent and breakfasts were delicious as well. We stayed in the junior suite. This room doesn’t have as good of a view as the rooms on the front of the hotel but still had a very nice view. It was a good trade off for the large size of the room! Tons of space and a nice bathroom as well. It was the best room of our trip. I would highly recommend staying here. One note- there isn’t an elevator, so check with the owner regarding any mobility challenges before booking.

My husband and I were so lucky to have picked Hotel Alpenblick. The inn is a minute or two from the train station with jaw dropping views over the mountains. The room is simple, but everything (including the bathroom and bedding) was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and had everything we needed to fuel up for the day. The restaurant also serves good food at good prices. Everything in Murren is within walking distance so you have the run of the village for shops and other restaurants. I am kicking myself for only having booked two nights. This inn and village deserve a longer visit. Hopefully, we will be able to get back there one day. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jeannette!

We spent 3 nights here and the service and cleanliness were top notch. We ate at the hotel 2 nights and would have been 3 nights but they didn’t serve dinner on Sunday. The views from our balcony (which accommodated 4 people) was incredible. The breakfast was delicious and filling with many homemade items. Thanks to Jeanette and her husband for a great stay.

We loved this restaurant so much that we ate here two nights in a row! The staff is so friendly with great service and the food was delicious. We loved the bratwurst, currywurst, sauerkraut, rosti, and everything else we tried. The location is at the end of town, and totally worth the walk! Recommend having a reservation to guarantee a table, but it was easy to make a reservation for same day or the next day during our trip in September.

It's people who make the difference. The welcome we had from Jeannette and Thomas made us feel like long lost friends who had returned to stay at their home. Our room was on the top floor (since we'd asked for one with a bath after an 18km trek!). It would have been nice to have a lift or help with the luggage, but that's the only thing we felt could have made the stay even better. ||It's clear that this is a family run hotel who love their customers and want them to have the best stay ever. ||The room was spotless and quite modern and breakfast was exactly what you would have expected. Nothing was too much trouble. ||Thanks to Jeannette and Thomas and hope to see you again. ||We also loved the location of the hotel which was on the outer edge of the village but still only a 5 minute walk from the train station and around 8 minutes to the centre of the town. ||You will not meet nicer hosts and we would strongly endorse anyone staying in Murren to stay at the Hotel Alpenblick.

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Murren was a wonderful place to get away from the day-to-day stresses and was a perfect base for hiking in the beautiful Swiss mountains. I had a situation with my luggage not arriving with me and Jeannette went above and beyond to assist with getting reconnected with the luggage when it arrived. Enjoyed my stay in Murren and especially at the Hotel Alpenblick.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Alpenblick. Incredible location with the most stunning views. Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff. Thank you Jeanette, Thomas, and team! The room was comfortable, super clean, and peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and set us up each day for our hikes. Looking forward to our next stay!

Hotel Alpenblick is one of those rare gems that will leave you with a lifetime of fond memories. The Hotel is in a good location just steps from the train station and close to all that Mürren offers. Our room was large and had striking views of the mountains. The bed was a tad firm for my tastes, but may be fine for others. WiFi speeds were excellent. The true stars of the show are the proprietors Jeannette and her husband. They both work extremely hard to make their guests comfortable and happy. Jeannette takes care of the front of the house and her husband is a master chef who is a man of few words. The food this man makes at the on-site restaurant is excellent. A dinner at his restaurant is not to be missed. Jeannette is genuinely kind, warm and gentle. She has the ability to lighten your mood with her bright smile. Every evening we would come back to the hotel after a day of Swiss adventures. She would always be out front and despite being very busy, she would stop and listen to a recap of our day. I truly felt at home. I’ve traveled quite a bit and there are only a handful of people I’ve met in my travels that I can honestly say that I will miss. Jeannette and her husband are two of them. Highly recommend, 15/10
