Family suite room was large enough for a family of 4. Breakfast was really good - a wide enough selection of high quality items. Staff were exceptionally hospitable, especially Linda who made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay, One of the best places we have ever stayed at. We would be back again to lucern and stay here. Great staff, great location, fantastic rooms, best breakfast we've ever had , dont get me started on the fresh honeycomb at breakfast, wow, Really made my breakfast and it was obviously a real hit as when we got there at 09.30 it was almost gone!

My family and I stay here in two different rooms for four nights. The staff could not have been more helpful, simply the best. We were lucky enough to have one room with a balcony face in the street and another room with a private balcony looking towards the wall of the city. Actually, the glass of the room was a unique feature that identified each of the town buildings. Our balcony also had a curtain that gave us virtually a second room. Spend time walking through the corridors. The hotel is truly a unique experience in its own. I’d highly recommend the location. It’s a walk from the train station, museums, restaurants, and the historical area. Buses are also just across the street that can take you to the train station and beyond. Anyone visiting town I would highly recommend this hotel. Extremely clean and well organized. Make sure you head to the basement to see the bathroom, just one of the very eclectic areas you will find. Even the trip of the elevator is an artist experience! The breakfast each morning was delicious! We were here during the hottest days of the summer. There was no air conditioning, but that’s not unusual for European Hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Restaurant Anker was fantastic. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was helpful. They even offered early check in. Breakfast options are limited for vegetarian food but tasted great. The location is 8 mins walk from the Luzern station and was convenient. Also, local farmer market and famous chapel bridge is walkable.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip and we couldn't have been happier! We were an easy 10 minute walk from the major train station, and we were able to walk less than 10 minutes to all major areas (chapel bridge, etc.) The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only down side is the rooms do not have AC but luckily for us the weather was cool and the room was equipped with fans so we were fine with that. They also provided us in our room with a backpack we could use on our daily outings which was super convenient! I highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 5 nights using lucerne as our base for hiking and sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and had a good variety of options. Location is great for accessibility to train station, restaurants, stores, sights, etc. Be aware that the rooms have no AC and our didn't have windows that opened. Being there for the hottest days of summer was pretty brutal. Staff were kind enough to get a couple of fans to help cool the room down. Bathrooms don't vent so humidity was up after showers and the bathrooms don't have true doors, kind of pantry or split closet style doors, so the whole room heats up. Television in the room would not stay on or would show server not available. May have been due to the temps too. The building itself is pretty, but so much or Lucerne was. Would we stay here again? Maybe, just not in the summer.

I am struggling to come up with anything positive to say. We were in room 401. For almost $500 a night, I would expect a room with a chair and somewhere to hang clothes that was more than a foot-long pole over the coffee maker. This room is so small that we could not pass each other round the bed. (It should have a single/twin bed only.) There was one bag stand which took up most of one side of the bedroom. We used the stool as the other bag stand as there was no floor space for it. No space for a table. No fridge. At least half the walls are unpainted with pencil graffiti, which some might think quirky. We thought it was messy. Our bathroom did, at least have a door, though the sink could not be plugged. It was very hot for the three nights we stayed, so we had to have the bathroom window open. As the hotel is positioned on a major intersection, the traffic noise and shouting drunks kept us awake. Our tiny balcony overlooked the main road, and also enabled us to look into the large office block nearby - I could have helped the office staff to redraft their documents. We had drinks one evening in the bar area, which we were told we had to vacate by 10pm. When we asked the desk staff to help us book a restaurant, they said they could only do that for restaurants in their chain. We also asked them for advice on where to visit by boat, and were told to go to the boat quay to ask. We were not impressed. I would not stay there again.

BEWARE !!! NO AIR CONDITIONING I booked this hotel online because of its location and what I thought were good reviews for $600.00 per night USD. When checking in at the lobby down stairs everything appears to be great, there is ice cold A/C and it is well decorated which would lead you to believe the rest of the property is the same ( Its Not). I booked directly through the hotels site which does not mention that there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms. Hotel has a no refund policy but forgets to mention this small part about air. When we arrived to our room I immediately called down to the front desk to see if they could send someone to check on the air . They ended up sending someone with a fan to plug in the wall and that's when they told us that the building did not have any kind of air conditioning with the acceptation of the lobby. Mind you it is July and the temperature was 86 degrees. We immediately went back down to the lobby and asked to be refunded , that we would be going somewhere else. Reception desk said that there was not a manager on duty and that they could not handle any kind of refund. (we would have to speak to the manager the next day) Next day comes around and guess what. No manager on duty that day either. After several days I was contacted by a manager saying that they have a no refund policy but they would be willing to refund 1 night. (please know that we were there for less than an hour) . I think this kind of practice is very underhanded and not the kind of customer service I would have expected. SAVE YOUR SELF AND YOUR MONEY AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.

Yelp
stayed in this super clean and modern boutique Hotel for one night ...we couldn't have asked for a better location for walking and discovering Lucerne. The staff was very friendly, beds were super comfortable and the breakfast amazing. If you arrive with a car you can pick up a parking pass at the front desk and park anywhere in the city for free (only above ground parking though). I would totally stay at Hotel Anker again.

Yelp
This place is SO UNIQUE! Colorful and so creative. It also is in a perfect location, right around the corner from the train station (8 or so minute walk) and popular sight seeing but far enough away that it's not over loaded with toirists. Included breakfast was delish and we had apps for dinner and was very yummy too! Speak good English so we felt very comfortable. Only flaw imo was how you could hear everyone around you, felt like the walls were paper thin.

Yelp
Breakfast was amazing and the vibe of the hotel is really great. The love put into renovations is evident... very creative! Would highly recommend! Great place to stay.
