Hotel-Restaurant Arc-en-ciel

Had an exceptional birthday brunch outside (Sept. 7, 2025), food, especially the risotto was out of this world! Presentation, attentive waiters, etc. was superb!!

Stopped by for lunch only. Best bolognese pasta I’ve had in my life. Nearly licked the plate while sitting at a cute table next to the flow of a stream. Great service.

Lovely hotel, a bit retired from the town center but it is beautiful. There is no AC in the room so it can get a bit warm in the summer and should have a full length mirror :/ but aside from that 10/10. Would totally stay there again. The room was pretty spacious.

Hands down the best restaurant in gstaad. I ordered so many things everything was amazing and AMAL the waiter was really helpful he really deserve a mention for his exceptional service. Definitely will come back again and again.

We stayed at one of the apartments and loved everything about it. The hotel treats guests in a special way; the spa, the food, the kindness of employees, all are great.|The hotel is located in a quiet street with good parking and close to hiking routes.|We will go back to this hotel soon.

In true Swiss tradition, this hotel does not disappoint…it is welcoming, comfortable with knowledgable staff to suggest and guide you to the various attractions and facilities. Breakfast is sumptious, and dinner always delicious. The room was very comfortable with a great view when visibility was good.

This by far has been our best experience in staying at Hotel’s in Europe. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The room was kept ready with rose petal’s like for honeymooners 😊😊. We were initially bit apprehensive obout the Swiss hospitality at hotels, specially toward Indians but here at the hotel we were well received and welcomed. The Hotel also arranged for our pick up and drop from nearest Gstaad station. The hotel is owned by a family and we met one of the finest and amazing owners: Amina & Tim. They hosted us in evening for snacks and drinks and really took good care of us. Highly recommend property and amazing place where most of the DDLJ movie was shot. The location is excellent almost walking distance to the Promenade ( Town market), bus stops and railway station

Stunning property in the midst of quiet gstaad. Its a beautiful and well maintained hotel. Their service is excellent, always helpful. Professional. Rooms are good, beds are good, no noise from other rooms. Breakfast is superb. Lots of live counters like eggs, saute vegetables, crepe etc. fresh fruits and bread and nice coffee. Best experience in gstaad and in arc-en-ciel!

The food was expensive and the service insulting. I was looking forward to the evening but was very disappointed.

One of our first meals in Gstaad area and we were very happy to find this spot. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Our pizza with olives, artichokes, meats and even a fried egg was very nice. And the pasta with chicken and a lemon wine sauce was very good too. Nice wine list. Mix of families and couples do a great crowd for everyone.

This is a nice family restaurant in a town that is lacking that sort of facility. One of the issues I find in Switzerland is that it hard to get a meal outside of their established hours. Most places around here simply won't serve you between 2pm and 6pm. I find that really annoying. For God's sake, you're on vacation and Gstaad is a vacation destination, so why not try to better cater to the needs of some of the guests? This brings me to Arc-En-Ciel. This place serves up the majority of their menu anytime of day. It is just so convenient when maybe you've been hiking on the Eggli for a couple of hours and need a late lunch at 3pm. The service here is very professional and particularly child friendly. I guess because of the hotel, the restaurant has a playroom downstairs for the kids, and even a little playground outside by the parking lot with little electric go-carts. The food is very consistent, typical Swiss, but also decent pastas and pizzas. I would say it's the best place to go for quality meals if you have small children and want to please your whole family.

Great terrace on sunny days but equally nice when weather is not so great. They are known for excellent pizza and it is. Also have quite good salad bar and pasta. Open during off season periods when others may not be. Service is pleasant and locals frequent this establishment. Great if you have kids and or pets. I continue to return
