Best views of whole area. While enjoying full modern comfort, you step back in time in a hotel where you almost run into the RatPack. Fantastic service, fantastic food. You come here to recharge, enjoy the mountains and their silence. Don't come if you look for TV channels packages. We did not even notice that there are no tv in the room until another guest pointed. The views are breathtaking and it's all you need. Also you can be first on the slopes, before gondolas or trains start running. We highly appreciate the monumental work the von Almen family puts in to preserve one of the last Grand Hotels of Switzerland. Old world charm and service, with modern day comfort, not stuffy.

We had lunch at the Belle Vue yesterday and will never return. It is over priced junk food with terrible service. Worse for I have ever had in Switzerland in 35 years and matched with the worse service. Used to be one of the best restaurants but not any more. We gave feedback but they did not want to know. Train your staff and get a proper chef.

Poor service and rude staff let down what could have been a wonderful meal. They should not forget that we could have been future guests at the hotel. We will not consider it as a destination as a result of the attitude of the staff. We are always on the lookout for likely future hotel accommodation. If they can’t be bothered with customers for meals what chance does an overnight guest have? Disappointed.

We stayed at Hotel Bellevue while celebrating a wedding on Kleine Scheidegg, but unfortunately, the hotel experience was nothing short of disappointing. We chose it because of its location, but it turned out to be extremely overpriced for what you get. The service and amenities don’t justify the high rates. We were forced to pay for dinner months in advance and couldn’t cancel, which is just poor customer service. Furthermore, there was no flexibility in dealing with simple requests. It felt like the management was more interested in enforcing their policies than in ensuring guests had a pleasant stay.

Spent over $500 at the restaurant and would not let us sit in the hotel lobby when it got too cold to sit out. We were shoo-ed off to a closed off patio area, which was fine until we were not allowed to use the restroom. Once again, I was shoo-ed off by a hotel employee and told me not to bother him with the subject when I kindly asked him to use the restroom. He told me to walk down to the train station to use the restroom even though I was a few feet away from the lobby bathroom. Extremely rude hotel staff. They made it their mission to make sure we weren't in the hotel or welcomed. I would not stay here. Read the rest of the reviews by others that have had horrible experiences.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Bellevue des Alpes, and it was an experience we will treasure forever. Apart from its breathtaking location at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, the hotel offers so much more than just stunning views. The staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in ensuring our stay was memorable. The food was delicious, and while portions are modest, hungry eaters can always enjoy classics like fondue or Rösti. We enjoyed playing games in the cozy common areas, hiking the trails surrounding Kleine Scheidegg, and skiing right from the doorstep. One thing we deeply appreciated is how the hotel maintains a wholesome and tranquil ambiance. Yes, there are certain rules that may feel unusual in today’s fast-paced world, but they make perfect sense in this remote location. The Hotel Bellevue des Alpes is not just a place to stay but a place to connect—with nature, with loved ones, and with the serene simplicity of mountain life. We recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and meaningful alpine retreat.

This hotel has the strangest vibe and it's not a good one. We felt extremely unwelcome and paid 645CHF a night for the privilege. Do not stay here. ||1. Unwelcome: I was sitting on our balcony and a man who I later learned was the owner walked by and yelled up to me to be sure to close the windows because it was going to rain. I went inside as it started to rain and the owner immediately called me on the phone and told me to close the windows. We opened the window next to our dinner table to get some air because the room was stuffy and then closed it when it got chilly. Our waiter immediately squeezed by to 'ensure we closed the window properly', note, it was not raining. Could that not have waited until we finished dinner? We bought a lovely bottle of wine at a boutique in Grindelwald and went to the deserted back terrace (public space) to drink it, talk about our day and enjoy the view. A waiter came out and told us to leave because only items purchased at the hotel are allowed to be consumed there. |2. WiFi/Internet: only available in the lobby and the musty living room/parlor public space (but not during dinner or breakfast because no devices allowed!) and on the staff floor. It's in the building, just not available for guests. You can't even pay more for it. In 2024, that strikes me as very controlling. |3. Meals: eight courses over two nights and only one was good. The cod on the first night was almost raw. The desserts were 'creative' - truffle cream, basil ice cream, thyme ice cream. One salad was a pile of quinoa shaped into a patty with orange slices on top. Breakfast was identical to what was provided at every other hotel we stayed at in the region, i.e. nothing special. |4. Meal seating: told at dinner that we would have the same table at night for dinner and for breakfast in the morning but when we went down for breakfast, we were told that our dinner table was only for dinner. I found an empty table and was immediately told that it was reserved for other guests. So why did you tell us that we would have the same table for dinner and breakfast? Weird. |5. Room: musty old smell, extremely outdated furniture, the 'Eiger view' I booked was only visible if we stood on the narrow balcony and turned sideways, it was also about 10 meters from the public path and looked at the train tracks. We asked to change rooms so that we could actually have a view and they said no, because we weren't allowed to 'downgrade' to another class. ||I am still shaking my head over the amount of money we spent for this experience. Save yourself the money and avoid the sour taste upon leaving and do not stay there.

Our wedding celebration in the Kleine Scheidegg area was wonderful, but our stay at Hotel Bellevue was far from it. The hotel is incredibly overpriced, and you can’t even have dinner there unless you’re a guest. Even then, the portions were tiny, and some of our guests were still hungry after the multi-course dinner. Not worth the price at all. This hotel doesn't live up to its reputation.

Seven of us had lunch there on March 10. The manager looked as if she was being bothered by seating us in the main floor restaurant and was unpleasant. Food good and service at table was good. But the person managing the restaurant needs to understand that customers are not an inconvenience. Pity.
