when we arrived the sun was shining a beautiful hotel in the woods, we had a room in the annex almost like an apartment with balcony. The room had the bed at one end the lounge the other very comfortable, had a wonderful meal and wine in the evening. in the morning awoke to snow and it snowed all day we stopped inside all day as we only had summer clothes with us but it looked very pretty, the meals were excellent the owner and staff top marks and the last day we had all the snow 35cm approximately the owner said no problem with have a snow blower and proceeded to release our car wished us bon voyage and we continued our holiday. we would highly recommend this hotel and would stop here again.

A great stay in a very nice hotel. The food was amazing and the staff was quite good. My room overlooked the mountains and it was quiet throughout my stay. My only criticism is that without a car it was a times challenging to get around. However, this could have been easily addressed by renting a car or making arrangement with the owner.

Extremely good value for money. The hotel is in the middle of nature and has very friendly staff! |The breakfast buffet is very good with local produce! The rooms are nicely fitted with large bathrooms.|The wifi only works in certain areas. But nice find!

A delightful three star hotel situated in the hills outside Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, I was with a tour group, and stayed in room number 10. Stayed here on Sunday and Monday 21 and 22 July 2014. ||||The hotel is run and owned by Celick Bard 4th generation originally a farm from the year 1900 till 1946 when when the hotel was built.||||Very good large bright comfortable room, I had the choice in my room of a double bed or two bunk beds to sleep in, such a choice. The room has a bath, and tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities and a flatscreen tv, but no air conditioning.||||The breakfasts were exceptional and consisted of the following: pancakes you make yourself, freshly squeezed orange juice, boiled eggs you boil yourself, cereal, fruilt salad, yoghurts, stewed apples, selections of ham and cheese, French bread, croissants, toasting bread, pet-u-bains, chocolate, tea and coffee. The evening meals taken as a group were very good. The hotel has a swimming pool, pool table, tennis court, and a spa. ||||Although nice and quiet here with transport it is not so bad. It is good and English is spoken. I would of like to have stayed longer, but with a tour group it was not possible. ||||The hotel has computer facilities.

Indeed a surprisingly superior 3 star hotel and restaurant just outside of Chambon sur Lignon. We stayed in a very comfortable, spacious and light filled Superior room in the recently renovated building with a balcony and a totally modern bathroom. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the demi pension is highly recommended.

What a gem of a hotel. It had everything: attentive staff, good food, great room (we had a "standard" which was better than all the so called "Superiors" we had experienced on holiday before), pool & terrace, secure parking, acres of woodland and peace & quiet.||||It is apparently in the middle of nowhere but a very nice middle of nowhere and could be a base for exploration, wlaking, cycling or just a stop off point on north - south journey.

Lovely hotel.Ideal for touring. My only problem was a very restricted a la carte menu.I do not like fish and so my choice off the menu was either a steak or rabbit. On our two night stay I tried both and they were both very good (the steak being excellent). If we had stayed a third night I would have struggled to choose.

Yelp
Well run hotel in the village and has a long history. Clean, well maintained. On site restaurant is good, not great as is the case for most restaurants in the village. More like 3.5 stars for their food.
