Hôtel-restaurant de la Demi-Lune

Lovely little hotel. We booked a room and got a little very cosy suite. It was clean and cute.|We ate at the restaurant and had a very good meal. Genuine, fresh homy food and good wine. Last but not least, the staff was friendly and looked happy. I definitely recommend this place if you like simple, warm and authentic.

We spent a night in the suite, an upstairs collection of rooms with great character - large bedroom with sitting area, a bathroom, a large separate sitting room, a balcony, views over the river. Wonderful stay in a typical building of the village. The proprietor is extremely charming, very helpful and engaging, we enjoyed our beer and tarte flambee snack so much, we returned for dinner, having a wonderful meal on the outdoor terrace. Breakfast was also lovely, mix of breads, croissants, jam, yoghurts, cold cuts, egg, very substantial. This was a lovely stay in a gorgeous village in such a beautiful valley, easily accessed by train (short walk from station).

We loved our short stay in St. Ursanne, a beautiful, quiet, little jewel of a medieval town. Hotel Demi-Lune was recommended to us by a friend familiar with the Jura region. We booked late by phone and the very friendly owner, offered us a mini-suite for the price of the fully booked double-rooms. We arrived late, found parking right in front of the hotel, did an easy self check-in, loved what we found, especially the view of the old bridge and river Doubs. After a wonderful rest, we enjoyed the breakfast, chatted with the congenial hostess and went to explore the town. A lovely place for a rest!

Had a nice lunch on the patio that overlooked Le Doubs. The Flammkuchen was great and the service was attentive. Our large group had a slightly hard time splitting the bill as they didn't want to split the bill 8 ways (understandable). The owners were nice enough to let our group bring our bicycles through the restaurant and onto the patio which was great! I'd highly recommend!

We stayed here on way while cycling through the Jura and had an enjoyable stay. Room was simple, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was more than enough and staff was very friendly.||We would stay here any time again, just for the atmosphere. The price was more than fair for being in Switzerland.

This hotel is in the centre of the village (no parkingspace in the vicinity). The staff was very friendly, helpful and bilingual. Breakfast was included and was served. It was nice, with a small variety of food. The rooms were very clean. The only thing was that the room on the topfloor, where we were, didn't have a wifi connection (it was very poor). In the rest of the hotel the connection was better.||I recommended this hotel.

We stopped there while on a hike along the doubs. The owner kindly let us store our packages in the stock room. For starters I had a mixed salad and it was very tasty. Then I ordered a flammenkueche which was quite good as well. The terrace is really pretty as you have a direct view on the bridge. It is a bit on the expensive side especially for Jura.

We had reserved a room for two nights, a Thursday and a Friday. The day before we were to leave for Saint-Ursanne one of the owners phoned to say that the hotel would be closed on Thursday, but gave us the code for the door and said we could arrive any time during the day. Once inside, we found a message where to find the key and our room. Our room spacious, immaculate, cheerfully decorated and looked over the Doubs river. We met our hosts the next morning at a large breakfast included in the price of the room. They were welcoming and jovial throughout our stay. Definitely a good address to keep in mind!

La seule terrasse donnant sur le Doubs dans la cité médiévale. Ré-ouvert fin 2023 avec une nouvelle équipe, ils développent de belles idées d'accueil et de bistronomie dans ce joli restaurant. A suivre !
