Already on the phone, when making the reservation, the person taking the call ( manager or owner) behaved in a grumpy, bolshy way. “ We are not open yet..!… opening at 7. “ “ Ok. We will then come at 7.”His stupid response was: “But if everybody comes at 7!?” ( S.i.c.!)
His attitude was one of a complete lack of customer orientation!
Subsequently when we arrived at the restaurant, contrary to what is publicized on this commerce’s website, already the reception by the manager ( gérant ) , a certain Tertuz , was unpleasant. On our arrival he did not greet us just walked past giving us a grumpy, unpleasant look. One is reminded of the old Chinese proverb which says that “ He, who can not smile , should not keep a shop.” Certainly that person should be working in a warehouse, putting wares on a shelf but avoiding any interaction with customers!
The « service » was extremely slow and unprofessional, mostly by untrained “ food and drink carriers”, as one certainly can not call them “waiters”! The Tonic water was brought without ice cubes. When asking for them , the server was mumbling something out of place why “ they don’t bring ice cubes”! As if his stupid reply would interest anybody!
The main dishes ( filets de perches) were not served for a long time. Finally after a long waiting time, we caught the attention of a female server and have lodged a complaint. Some time after that we were served the main dishes but the food carrier has forgotten the “ sauce tartare” which came with the dish. He muttered that he will bring it . But he just disappeared and never brought the sauce. Finally , already well into the meal, eating the dry filets without sauce in order to avoid them getting cold, again after some time, we could catch the attention of the lady server mentioned above and complained about the sauce missing. Which, after some time, she brought. To sum up, the “ service” was extremely poor! This place is run as a student cantine and the prices are too high for what is offered! One is inclined to call it a rip-off! It’ s a sign of the manager’s/ owner’s purely pecuniary orientation instead of a customer orientation !
The Manager / owner justly reminds one of Farquaad out of a Disney film!
I will certainly never go back to this place!
