Great value for the price. It’s a very well-kept place with cozy interiors dating back to the nineties, when “Swiss quality” really meant a difference. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Although the breakfast starts somewhat late for a hotel in Switzerland (after 8:00) you’ll get to enjoy your traditional morning meal in a beautiful restaurant room with views of the Alpine panorama. A great choice we made for our trip in early March, where we made the winter walk from Sunnbüel (Kandersteg) to Gemmi (Leukerbad).

very nice and cosy hotel. great hospitality from the hotel staff and owner. it has nice view from our room as well. Great location too. They also provide bathing robe for thermal bath use. Very thoughtful. I just love this place. I will surely come back if ever I have a chance again.

The description is wrong for the rooms at this hotel. The double with a SPA BATH was actually an ordinary bath. The owners are not Swiss but in any case, I’m sure they clearly know the difference. Check in took an hour which was not fun with a 5 year old. Breakfast was ok but not copious. I wouldn’t really recommend it for a trouble free break.

The hotel has a low price, and though the materials of the room were cheap, this was not unexpected. On the plus side, there was a nice view, and the owner came to pick me up at the station.||Several people commented how friendly the family-run establishment was. I do not share in that opinion. I visited shoulder-season, and the family was elsewhere after giving me the room key. I called for a blanket and was told where to get it. (somewhat curtly). At ten at night, I discovered I had no towels, but decided not to call and held off on a shower. ||Breakfast was good, and the middle-aged man who is present during the day seemed pleasant. I accidentally broke a plastic piece off the electrical plug cover, and offered to pay, but he didn't put it on the bill. I left a day earlier (having paid for all three nights) and did not have a chance to leave him a bit extra (couldn't have been more than 5 or 10 chf) like I promised, because I was sprinting for the bus. When I phoned to ask for some business papers to be mailed, that I'd left behind, his wife reproached me and said she could not mail anything until I prepaid postage, and she tried to make me feel guilty about the broken piece of plastic. I again offered to pay, but she seemed to have no idea what price a plastic plug cover might run. I received no further communication, other than that unpleasant exchange. I have since reprinted the papers I needed, and recompiled the missing information I forgot in the hotel room.||This could be a fine place for some people because of the good value and nice breakfast; this is just my experience, and I won't be back.

We booked last minute via booking.com but feel I could have negotiated a better price on arrival as they were not full. Positives, we had an excellent view, but there are rooms that face the back, so endure you are specific, we had room 22 which looked larger on the floorplan. It had a small pull out sofa and a large bed. Separate toilet and shower. There is no parking at the hotel. Rat house parking was recommended and is a 5 minute walk, drive your luggage up and then park, as luggage up the hill would not be fun. Parking cost was 14 chf overnight, but reading other revies seems to sometimes be included. We paid ourselves. Arrival was a little disappointing, not too friendly or helpful. We had booked for 3 on booking.com, two adults and a child. This did not come through so had to push for the cot, which was set up well in the end. They have no doorbell which was quite surprising and we arrived after 8 so had to knock?? Hotel has an elevator. It is very clean and built in a characterless functional German style. Everything worked and was very comfortable but not your place if you are looking for pine panels and charm. Breakfast was the high point, friendly and good selection. If you want a window table, which you will do as the view is great, you may need to ask. Appears table plans are done, and we were refused a window table even though there were two empty on arrival. We did try yo call to amend our arrival date, but spoke to someone that said he could not make any decisions and we would have to call back after 6.30 pm. Odd and simply frustrating, they were not full and we ended up having to drive 3 hrs extra for what would have been an easy amendment. Free wifi included. It is a really easy walk to all restaurants, and some of the spa's.

Excellent option in Leukerbad, close to everything you need, extremely clean, very friendly staff, breakfast simple but good, very beautiful view from the room window. They offer robe for the thermal swimming pool, what is very convenient. For sure we will be back

Great location, clean and tidy, super friendly staff, reach breakfast. The floors are carpeted so it’s very quiet. The owners do everything to make you feel welcome. I will be happy to be back again!||My bed was just a bit on the soft side :)
