I truly lucked out picking the Flyhof hotel.
Lovely hosts made me feel so welcome.
Excellent restaurant.
Pretty stepped garden at rear with lakeside access if you fancy a swim!
Ideally situated for exploring this stunning area; the immediate attractions such as the lake & waterfalls, by foot, bike, or ferry boat.
Easy public transport access to explore more widely.

This is hotel run by family, its quiet location, car parking are in front of the hotel, and this hotel are historic place too. Unfortunately the bed are not good enough for us, and also its quite hot when we there, by opening the windows, there is a lot mosquitos.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The property has loads of character and charm. The bed was comfortable and there was a very spacious shower. The view of the lake from the room was absolutely fantastic. There is a free communal drinks area on the floor where the rooms are that is stocked with some very fancy mineral water, teas, coffees etc - a nice touch. Breakfast was good and the service was also great throughout.||||Be aware that this is not right in the centre of Weesen. For me, this was not an issue and actually suited me for the trip I was on but it might be an important consideration for others. Also important to note the toilet is a shared one.....

I have stayed here twice. Once cycling from London to Italy and then again, but cycling from Italy to London.||It's a very nice hotel and the food is really good. The beetroot soup was totally delicious. It's all a bit quirky but that's no problem and the building is full of charm and character. Our arrival greeting was slighly odd, again no problem an dtha lady at breakfast is a credit to the establishmnet and was brilliant. The dining room is delightful and the breakfast was delicious and as much as we could eat. The rooms do need an update but it was all clean and good. Odd shower, but it all worked fine. Good, secure bike storage in an amazing cellar bar area. I would stay here again

We stayed at the Flyhof Hotel for just two nights and it was quite a special experience. The hotel's style, with its dark exposed beams, old tiles in the bathroom and up the stairs and traditional-looking furniture, is so appealing. We loved the view from our bedroom window out over the lake. The young couple who own it are friendly and helpful. Her suggestion of a long walk along the lake to Quinten was a great idea. Breakfast, though not included in the room rate, was delicious. (Home made jam!) Sadly their in-house restaurant was closed both nights we were there but we went to a lovely nearby restaurant one night and had a picnic by the lake on the other. The hotel's garden goes right down to the lake and it's great being able to swim and sunbathe right there. We were sad to leave the hotel and this beautiful lake. We've been in the road for five months now and this hotel rates up in our top five for location and atmosphere.

Quaint little hotel on the banks of Lake Walansee. The owners were very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately we were there on a Monday when the restaurant is shut so cannot review this. Our room was pleasant, overlooking the lake with small ensuite. Very very peaceful and nice comfy beds. Had a lovely continental breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake before we left. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

We opted for the 'lake view room' which was at the very top of the hotel. There are no lifts as it is an old building so you have to carry your cases up 3 flights of stairs. ||The staff were so friendly, really making you feel at home. We got showed around the hotel and told where we could go etc. Past the terrace, there is a set of stairs that they said you can use to go down to the lake to swim in if its really warm which is lovely!||||The room itself was amazing, never stayed anywhere like it before. Its really unique. The windows open up completely, which gives an amazing view of the lake. Its something that you will really remember forever I think! ||||There is wifi but you have to ask the staff for the password. The only negatives we have about this place was that the shower has no door and is completely open (we had the private bathroom in our room) and also it was so hot during the night that we woke up at 2.30am and dampened the towels with cold water and slept on them for the rest of the night. ||||The restaurant is expensive but absolutely amazing! Some of the best food and service we had on our road trip. We would definitely come back here again.

A small but fantastic menu, friendly service and a lovely outdoor setting. We have wanted to try here for some time and are glad we did! We’ll be back! Try the burgers ( veggie, and beef) - exceptional! And huge!
