This hotel was perfect in every way. We were 15 of us on a family ski trip, celebrating my birthday. The hotel is perfectly situated for access to skiing on the Eiger side and First, both of which are incredible. The owners went above and beyond for us. The dinners each night were incredible as were the breakfasts. We had our own big table with lots of space. The dining area for hotels guests is on the second floor with a beautiful view to the mountains. We also had a private bar area on the 2nd floor for our nightly happy hour with bartenders designated just for us! I can’t recall everyone’s names but Simone who made sure our every need was met was truly fantastic. Funny too! This hotel even provided a wheelchair so we could take 87 year old mother out and about in town without worrying about her slipping in the snow! The rooms are updated and lovely and we all had beautiful views to the Alps! I highly recommend this hotel for a skiing vacation but I would stay here for hiking and exploring in the good weather too! Thank you for making our stay so memorable and perfect in every way!!

We only visited the restaurant upon descending and before continuing our hike. The food was good, but charging 9.50 for water is a scam, if the personnel wants tips, it's nicer to ask for it directly. The lady was nice, but I'm always leaving honest reviews :D My tip: better order some alcohol there, not water :D UPD: a good service would have been mentioning you have very "fancy" water. I wonder if people usually look at water prices anywhere since it is rarely more that 5 franks. Hence, yes, it is a scam.

It really doesn't get much better than Kreuz-Post in Grindelwald. Just stayed here for second time (first was nearly 25 years ago) and still an amazing property. Small, family run hotel right on main Street with location and views that are second to none. They accommodated me with a last minute booking request and whole trip was perfect. Staff so very kind. Rooms impeccably clean. Hotel cozy and a few steps from train station and main bus depot so it's perfectly located for ski trip at Jungfrau. Daily breakfast buffet is wonderful with many options that are fresh (breads, yogurt, muesli, meats, cheese, fruit, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, tea) and it is extremely well staffed. Tables by windows afford views of surrounding mountains. Hotel also has restaurant on main floor with wonderful, local and regionally inspired dishes and an amazing atmosphere (if you are lucky, you can get seated in back room which is a very cozy, wood paneled room). We ate there 2 nights in a row and had fabulous food and service each time. We had to check out the night before as we were on an early train, and front desk was kind enough to arrange picnic bags for us to pick up from the night porter on the way out early the next morning. Not if, but when I return I will stay once again with Family Konzett as they and their staff are amazing hosts.

Prime prime prime location. It's about a 100m away from the Grindelwald train station and the bus station. I appreciated this when we first arrived in Grindelwald after traveling for more than 20+ hours (coming from halfway across the globe), with our luggage. This is also a plus, especially if one travels outside of Grindelwald via train (or even within Grindelwald, via bus.) I understand it is also a few minutes' walk away (less than 1km?) from the gondola station for Mt. First. For this, one can choose to walk, or take a short bus ride. ||Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and clean.  Our room was also quiet, despite the hotel's central location.  We were completely well-rested during our stay. ||The breakfast room had a fantastic view of Mt. Eiger. (Grindelwald in general has a fantastic view of the mountains and is a very picturesque Swiss village.) Breakfast spread is the same daily, though. But that is okay because the food is good: various Swiss cheeses, smoked salmon, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, bacon, different kinds of bread, fruits, yogurts, among others. ||The staff are helpful and friendly. ||There is a nearby Coop store, although this particular shop is a little more like a convenience store than an actual supermarket. ||The place is near many restaurants and at least one chocolate shop. They have their own restaurants, too, which, per travel articles on the internet, are also good. We ate in one, and we enjoyed their food. (The staff were also nice.) ||Cost-wise, our stay in the hotel was very reasonably priced (by Swiss standards). ||We would stay here again.

Just spent a week skiing in Grindalwald. This hotel is one of the best I have enjoyed in 40 years of skiing. Food, service culture and rooms were terrific. Why?|The owners said hello and the staff went out of their way to be friendly. No reason other than they want you to have a great time. The menu changed every night and was excellent. Met a Swiss guy who said the food was best in the resort for quality and variety and he was right.|It is a historic resort and the hotel has been family owned for a long time. Not the ski in ski out type resort but the hotel position is ideal for catching a train or a bus to ski.|Finally crystal feature this hotel on half board and it is great value. The ski hire shop is next door. (buri) also ace.|Will be back!!!

3.7 out of 5||Very good location! Near the Grindelwald tram station and bus station. View is magnificent in Grindelwald.||Room is spacious. However, bed is a little uncomfy with only one pillow per person. Breakfast selection is okay but the same all throughout our 3day stay.||Service is okay. For the restaurant in the ground floor, people are nice. Service in the buffet is so so, a bit cold even to tourists.||Housekeeping is good!||Hotel is pretty much ok for its price.

Lovely hotel close to the train station, bus depot, restaurants and shopping. Staff were friendly and very helpful with questions about sights and activities. The rooms were a good size and beds comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was the shower over the bathtub - really difficult to get into and more so when you were trying to get out while wet.

Hotel with a traditional friendly attitude catering to independent mountain travelers, despite the vortex of mass tourism flooding Grindelwald. It is quiet as soon as you step inside. -hyper-friendly staff who could help me in any possible way; -unbeatable view on Eiger from the balcony -convenient location 10 meters away from the train station for early access to Jungfraujoch and beyond -delicious restaurant with good selection of Swiss dishes and wine (with Swiss prices) -they even got a spa/sauna (70/80° with self Aufguss) to relax your muscle after the mountains
