Our stay at Hotel Kreuz & Post Grindelwald was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The service was exceptional, the room was comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the bar was a lovely place to relax after a day out. What truly made the difference was the dedication and outstanding hospitality of the entire team. A very special thank you to Jezmim and Ailen, whose phenomenal service, kindness, and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. They were always helpful, attentive to our well-being, and consistently pleasant. The location is fantastic — conveniently close to everything: the train station, ski lifts, restaurants, shops, supermarket, pharmacy, and more. This makes getting around incredibly easy. The hotel restaurant is also very good and an excellent option, especially since the town offers relatively limited dining choices. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Grindelwald. It truly enhanced our entire experience, and we would gladly stay here again.

The nicest, kindest, most helpful people ever found in Grindelwald manage this hotel - and it's a high bar, since on all of our stays here we came across very nice people. The hotel rooms are spatious and clean, with superb views over the mountains, which is always nice to have when the weather isn't too inviting outside :) . There is parking, ski room, a spa, a very nice restaurant, and discounts for the local pool and gym. The breakfast has a nice diversity of dishes including vegan. The hotel is located in the very center of the town and near the train and bus stations. Their restaurant is fantastic value for money (tasty, large portions, with locally sourced ingredients) and they provide room service. We loved being here for a long weekend and look forward to coming back to K&P in the summer.

We loved it here. Spent three nights over Christmas and it was magical. It’s a wonderful, privately owned hotel sat next to the train station and in the shadow of the Eiger and Mittelhorn. The spa is wonderful, our room was wonderful. The restaurant put on oysters and champagne on Boxing Day, Christmas Day breakfast involved prosecco. All in all a wonderful hotel and we had the Christmas of our lives

I had a wonderful stay! The hotel has a true mountain feel — warm, authentic, and full of charm. The restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast simply outstanding, with plenty of fresh local options. The spa area, terrace, and relaxation room were fantastic — perfect for unwinding after a day in the mountains. The bed was very comfortable, and the room quiet and cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. I’d happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing alpine experience.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the train station and bus terminal. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, good shower and gave us great views of the mountains from the balcony.|Breakfasts were superb, especially with Simone and his colleagues making us so welcome every morning. We used the restaurant in the evenings on a couple of occasions, again the food was very good and the staff friendly. There are plenty of other restaurant options in Grindlewald all within easy walking distance.|The grocery store was just opposite the hotel and offered a good variety of snacks for walking trips.|The options for walking are extensive in all directions.... Routes are well sign posted and the views from the mountains are amazing.|An excellent base for our walking holiday.

Stayed at Hotel Kreuz & Post for 2 nights during our stay in Grindelwald. Rooms - 10/10 We got a free room upgrade! It was a beautiful 2 floor room with nice views of the mountains. It was very cozy as well. Service - 11/10 - our heater wasn't working properly, someone came and offered us an electric heater. Our wall outlet converter things weren't working, and they offered to use 2 of them! Location - 10/10 - a few steps from the Grindelwald train station, very convenient, and easy access to activities, hiking, etc. Also, you can hop on the bus from right outside the hotel! Things to note: As an American, this hotel is still pretty expensive. Room service will run you at least $40 per meal, and they will charge you 9 francs to deliver it to your room, so just pick it up yourself. Overall, I believe this is the best hotel to stay in Grindelwald. The breakfast was pretty standard as well. I look forward to coming back if I ever do come back to Grindelwald, this is where I'll stay!

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 5 nights at the warm and historic Kreuz & Post|Hotel in beautiful Grindelwald. We have visited Switzerland from Italy on several occasions in recent years but we had been wanting to return to Grindelwald and the Bernese Oberland , having not visited since our University years. It did not disappoint despite modernization, as the Alps including Eiger, Monch and Jungrau are still as awe inspiring as we had remembered.|Grindelwald and nearby Murren and Lauterbrunnen continue to, in my opinion, offer the most majestic Mountains and Mountain accessibility in all of Europes Alps.||Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Sybille, Melli and Ailen who were anticipating our arrival from the nearby Grindelwald Station. We knew immediately that their genuine greeting was a reflection of the approach and values of the multigenerational ownership of the Konzett Family. Within minutes of our arrival we knew that we had chosen the right Hotel for us, one which was historic and beautiful,|as well as modernized and meticulously|maintained in the Swiss- German standard.|Knowing what we love and value , we immediately added an additional night to our stay…and we had yet to fully check-in !|Our Room was upgraded to an Eiger View Room with Balcony, and what a view it was. The Room|was essentially a Suite in size and offered many comforts. The Balcony was perhaps the largest we have even had the pleasure of enjoying, spanning some 20+ feet in width and 12+ feet in depth, complete with a small tableset and a full overhead wind out canopy for warm summer days.|The view of the Eiger was outstanding, graced|by Double exterior Doors which only added to its access and enjoyment.||We knew that our days would be filled|with Mountain hikes, Trams and Gondola's, etc|and that come days end we would enjoy the simplicity and comfort of eating at the Hotel, hence we booked the Half Board rate.|The Buffet Breakfast and Dinner were both served in the beautifully appointed Main Dining Room where we ate all of our Meals throughout our Stay.|The Room and table were beautifully appointed adorned with a full bank of Windows overlooking the Eiger. Taking our of meals at the Hotel was not a decision that we regretted as we enjoyed every meal that was uniquely prepared and professionally served to us. Breakfast was delicious and offered a full array of items of a high standard. The Dinners were varied and proudly prepared by the head Chef, a member of the Konzett Family, who approached us on several occasions to ensure that we were completely satisfied.||Of particular mention is the outstanding Service which we received daily at both Breakfast and Dinner by Maitre de Simone and lovely|Doha who could not have been more|attentive, professional and engaging.||All of this has been carefully and thoughtfully|crafted by the Konzett Family Team, clearly lead by|Helena who took time to meet us over Dinner, ensuring that all aspects of our stay was perfect…and that it was.||Thank you Kreuz & Post for making our long overdue visit to Grindelwald so memorable|and heart warming. Awesome view from the hotel! Extremely helpful staffs and adequate amenities in the room. Breakfast was sumptuous too! Very near to the train station with walking distance of just less than 5 mins. Plenty of options surrounding as well. Love staying here and will definitely book again when I return to Grindelwald!

This restaurant was one of our favorites in Grindelwald. It had a warm and cozy atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. They were not too busy when we were there in early October, so we were able to have a relaxing dinner after hiking all day. Pretty expensive, but comparable to other restaurants in the area.

Hotel Kreuz & Post has a nice covered patio. They gave quick, friendly service. The menu was a simple three pages with many attractive offerings, making the choice easy. We chose "Nüsslisalat mit sautierten Steinpilzen und Grindelwalder Hobelkäse" Spänen" translated to "Lamb's lettuce salad with fried cap mushrooms and Grindelwald cheese shavings" And 'Grindelwalder Älplermagronen mit Käse, Rahm, Schinken und karamelisierten Zwiebeln (altes Familienrezept)" Translated to "Grindelwald MAC N CHEESE macaroni with cheese, cream, ham and caramelized onions (old family recipe)" And excellent tomato soup.

Our best meal in grindlewald serving swiss mountain food and large portions. We had the rosti with mushroom sauce and alpine mac'cheese with speck. Nice atmosphere and friendly folks. Busy so reservation recommended.

Overpriced, low quality food, very slow service. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce (which I thought you couldn't mess up) but I was given a large plate of noodles with a small scoop of meat sauce in the middle. I ate lots of dry noodles for a price much higher than what I'd buy at the grocery store.

Lucked into this restaurant. The menu had a good variety and the quality of the chicken, pasta and salad were good. Service was good, drinks were reasonable. I recommend for a casual dinner.

I only ate here and did not stay, but I came here for a morningtime coffee and croissant(s) before heading up to First. The food was great and the service was quick and attentive, and the waitress was sweet enough to give me some tips on the trails I was considering for that day. I got a sandwich to go for the day, and it really hit the spot out on the trail to Grosse Scheidigg! They ran a special for a cheap coffee and sandwich for (I think) about 8 CHF - definitely a deal in pricy Switzerland! The hotel itself is excellently located near the train station. They do have free wifi for guests if you need it.

I was really impressed with the service here when compared to similar hotels back in the US. We arrived early and the friendly front desk staff stored our bags. Then we showed up later in the day after our hike, they had already placed the luggage in the room. The next morning, I embarrassingly showed up late to breakfast, yet they help assemble an entire tray for me and carried it for me back to my room! Top notch service! Extremely friendly staff! I loved my one night here. Well worth the price.

Wonderful hotel with great food, helpful staff and very good location. We will come back!!!
