Hotel La Roya, an SLH Hotel

We stayed in the Sea View Suite at Hotel La Roya for three nights. The restaurant was a standout — dinner was consistently excellent: flavorful, creative, and worth the cost. Staff were warm and friendly throughout our stay. The location is also a plus — just a short walk along the beach to town. That said, for a room priced at over €600 per night, the experience was underwhelming. The hotel and room feel quite dated. We were warned about a slow drain in the shower, but it was far worse — the floor slopes outward, causing the bathroom to flood with every use. This is unacceptable at this price point. Housekeeping didn’t replace the complimentary water bottles, and when we asked, we were charged €7. We also had several double charges on our final bill, which had to be corrected — definitely review yours carefully. The beachfront is also disappointing. While the hotel is technically on the water, it’s more of a harbor than a beach.

A Wonderful Hotel, a gem in Corsica.||The hotel is so charming, the photos of it don't do it justice. The open plan interior staircase is so lovely and airy. The sea view rooms are a delight.||The staff are lovely! Eleanore (sp?) was so kind and inviting, and all of them are utterly charming.||The grounds are gorgeous, as is the Pool, forever kept so clean by the keepers from 7am.||The sea in front is now a bit seaweedy and not so clear due to the building of the harbour many years ago that changed the tides. However it is still lovely....BUT merely a boat ride away are the MOST splendid beaches, Lotu & Saleccia, we always used the Spassigh J'agriate boats to get to the 2 beaches... I will write a detailed note on how to get to the beaches too.||Saint Florent is a short 10-12 mins walk along the beach, so easy to get to, for dinners and for the beach boats. We will return.

Clean and beautiful, large room and bathroom, very good bed, quiet - you truly feel in heaven. Beautiful and very good restaurant, great swimming pool, exercise room and massage. On the beach!|But their biggest asset: their staff! I am 71 years old and travelled a lot, in good hotels and I have never met people more friendly and helpful than here!|Examples: the concierge ran after us to provide sun umbrella and towels when she knew we are going to the beach|And the restaurant ( I want to mention Sylvie in particular, but they were all incredibly nice) accommodated us with our food restrictions and looked after us all day! |In my book: the best experience ever in a hotel! Kudos to you!

We booked this hotel as 7 friends all asking for a sea view. Two of us got rooms overlooking the parking lot, with no alternatives presented. Reception tried to charge us for a suite. When asked why this happened, they said other guests had asked for a sea view and they gave them our rooms. Doesn’t feel right.

A fantastic place, with excellent service and rooms, delicious food around the clock, and loveliest breakfast buffet I’ve seen. Some superb sunset views; and very close walk away from the charming town.

La Roya hotel is immersed in a wonderful context. Very chic rooms and suites. Cleanliness everywhere from the pool to the sunbeds on the beach. Don't be scared, the sea water is beautiful especially if you walk towards the islet of the beach you will find crystal clear water. Perfect welcome and customer care. The Director and her staff will be close to you to organize your vacation. In my opinion it is the only place to stay in Saint Florent. Don't deprive yourself of tasting the amazing dishes at the restaurant you would be thrilled, original dishes of high quality and very kind staff.

We had the pleasure of staying the night at the hotel. The location is perfect, the gardens and surrounding views are stunning. You are situated almost on the beach overlooking the sea, with the mountains surrounding. The town is a short walk along the beach. We had a very spacious room and balcony. The aircon could be stronger, but that would be my only complaint. Great selection of drinks and cocktails. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but the food looked and smelt delicious! We recommend, especially for couples! We will definitely be back!

Hotel La Roya is a gem. An outstanding location on the bay; a dramatic setting. Lovely pool and outdoor dining area surrounded by shade trees and songbirds. 10 minute walk along the beach into the town of St. Florent. Wonderful breakfast buffet, and gourmet dining in the hotel. From here you can hike along the coast for miles, bike, or enjoy the public beach next door, where kayaks and sailboats may be rented. Loved my stay here, and plan to return.
