I had an incredible month-long stay at La Véranda. The rooms are spotless, equipped with AC and fast Wi-Fi, which made it easy to work remotely. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The hotel’s location is perfect, within walking distance of banks, government offices, Miami Park, the Club Nautique, and other key spots. Plus, it’s on a quiet street, making it easy to sleep in if you want to. The restaurant is outstanding, offering a mix of French, Chinese, and Malagasy dishes, each one memorable. I highly recommend trying the garlic calamari, the zebu with pepper sauce, and the mango tarte Tatin! For activities, the reception staff can connect you with tour agencies for local adventures like Canal des Pangalanes, Parc Ivoloina, Foulpointe, and Île aux Prunes. They can even arrange for a masseuse to visit.

Can’t speak to the hotel, but the restaurant was a really positive experience. Good food, gracious service, pleasant environment. (Curried fish was delicious!)

Our favourite hotel on the mainland of Madagascar. Extremly friendly, helpful and professional staff. The rooms are spotless and spacious. |The location is perfect as it lies in the city center but not on the noisy, busy main road where most other hotels are located. The beach, 2 supermarkets, the beautiful local market and several restaurants are within walking distance.

Nicely located when you're arriving in late to the bus station, and doubly welcome after 12 hours on a bus. It's clean, the rooms are nicely large with high ceilings, its restaurant is 10 m away. Shower badly designed in that it floods the toilet a bit, but it's dried my morning. Good value for money.

Yummy lunch stop after a long day driving. Food was tasty and well prepared. Prices are slightly higher than other restaurants. Meals were not huge, but OK to fill a void. Good variety to choose from. My friends also enjoyed the coffee and desserts.

This was a great hotel. A/C and hot water. Beds are Malagasy style so not the most comfortable, but isn't to bad. Its located near the docks, and the grande boulevard. A shoprite, and Score are nearby, and there is a leader price a little further away.
