Hôtel Restaurant L'aréna Fréjus

We arrived as a fire had broken out in the centre of old frejus, so despite arriving, getting stuck behind huge gates in the secure car park when the local electricity was cut off, we were getting our suitcases, the phone number we had was incorrect so we were stuck for a while! Our room was at the end of a very very long dark corridor ( I did think someone could have helped us at least with a torch! |However apart from that a large room, slightly dated , woken every morning by the dustbin men right outside our window at the crack of dawn. |The pool was nice and relaxing, the breakfast was good, some staff good, some indifferent. I think it would have been one more star if they had just helped us in the beginning, or the waiters were a bit more pleasant in the evening, one was , the others were skilled in studiously not catching your eye 😏 |On reflection, good but I think if they had just said we are so sorry you arrived and had no electricity for a few hours, we’re stuck in the car park , and offered an aperitif as a gesture but it kind of summed up the lackadaisical attitude that we were just left in limbo.

Hotel was near the train station so a great choice on a rainy day. The whole property is beautifully maintained including rooms and pool area. My family room was 2 joined rooms and excessive as a solo traveler. Buffet breakfast was delicious, dinner was good but nothing stood out. Maybe I made the wrong menu choices.

Having heard this hotel had changed hands, we went for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. The interior is smart and welcoming, the staff friendly and the menu choices intriguing. For 34€90 you can choose starter, main and dessert from the normal menu. The food was very tasty and well presented. The service was efficient and friendly and my husband was presented with the customary firework in his dessert, as birthday boy, but also 2 glasses of champagne on the house! Our final surprise was when the chef came out of the kitchen to talk to us before we left. We felt like valued customers and will certainly return and tell our friends.

This hotel has a central location. Our room was of a very good standard and winter prices are very reasonably. Parking is limited and advance booking essential. I guess the only alternative would be a public car park which is very close. Finding the hotel by car was a nightmare. Even high spec satnav doesn't take you to the right place. If you miss it then you have to work your way around a horrible, congested one-way system. Would recommend heading for Place Agricola Car Park where it's easy to walk to the hotel and get directions to their car park. The restaurant is a modern and pleasant room. I can Imagine in summer outside dining here would be lovely. Our Breton waitress was very good indeed. The food is fairly pricey and looked very good on the plate. Unfortunately it misfired on taste. Too much sauce and bland flavours. Fillet pork was overcooked and dry. Bill was over €70pp which frankly the cooking didn't merit.

great hotel, the rooms were fine and the staff really welcoming and helpful. breakfast was really good but the best thing was the atmosphere at night in the outside area.

Amazing location, very big and beautiful room with little balcony with a good view from the city, so beautiful

I had to stay 1 night in frejus and I had a very nice surprise with this hotel from beginning to end. Price ,room and staff.|Very peaceful location faraway from the noise of the crowd.|The owner told me they just reopened this hotel so is brand new the commodity are very nice.|You completely feel your in the south of France .|I will stay again in this hotel

Excellent! Kind, helpful, nice, welcoming and smiling staff. Room perfectly clean and very quiet. Amazing bad, big shower, I really loved it and I am going to come back!
