We were staying in Apt as a springboard to hiking in the Parc du Luberon, and for that purpose, we couldn't have chosen better. The hotel was convenient to the business district and restaurants. It was also close to the bus stop to where we could make connections to Avignon and Gordes. Our plans hinged on being able to divide our luggage and leave behind what we wouldn't need for five days. Vincent readily agreed to hold our bags for us, which made our trip possible. His wife also helped us find the trailhead to the walk to Bonnieux. The rooms aren't luxurious, but they are quiet, and we had a pleasant time.

The most terrible experience of all time. Pure disaster. Normally we don't do such low price hotels, but this was "let's go today" thing and everything what we would be looking for was booked and we booked this one. Anyone can get trapped by the pictures and location published in some posts like we did. First of all the place needs entire deep cleaning. There's no air-conditioning and if you close the window the room temperature rises in seconds and there's no airflow. To addition the room starts to smell really bad and you can only imagine. It's very noisy outside all night long even on Sunday night. Thanks universe this is only one night here. Simply avoid this terrible place. DISASTER!!!!!

When you book a two star hotel you should expect a simple accommodation with little to none amenities. The Hotel Le Palais is indeed a two star hotel, given the simplicity of the amenities but, regarding cleanliness, comfort, and friendly staff, it sure beats a lot of three or four star hotels I've stayed.||||The staff is all smile and helpfulness, they speak english (and a little spanish, I think) and is always there to help the guests. The room has enough space to accommodate a couple of luggages and with a small space for working with a laptop. The bathroom is clean and spacious given Europe standards.||||The bed is really confortable and I had a really nice night of sleep in there.||||The breakfast is simple but worth the price ($5 euros), it entitles you to a basket of french bread, coffee or tea, assorted fruits and juice. ||||In one of the nights, when the temperature got higher, they left a fan in my room for a more comfortable night of sleep.||||In short, I really loved the place and the staff, I would definitely recommend!

Great little hotel in the middle of the old town area, close to restaurants and shopping. Clean, quiet room. Very helpful staff. Booked directly from the website late in the day with no problem getting a room. Saturday market at the door. A brilliant market that takes over the whole town.

We enjoyed our room and the owners are lovely people. Great location but town does "shut down" quite early. Very quiet, clean and charming rooms. The breakfast was also delicious. Highly recommend. They run the cafe next door also.

Perfect location in the heart of Apt The host is super helpful and friendly. My room was quite large and comfortable. I ate two meals in the restaurant next door and they were very good value.

What a fantastic place to base ourselves to explore the beautiful Luberon region. Special thanks to the front desk staff who made some great suggestions of places to explore and local delicacies to sample during our brief stay; we were truly grateful. Room No 2 was nothing short of spectacular with a large Juliette balcony that opened up to sweeping views of the town square (and from which we could enjoy a glass of local wine and admire the breathtaking sunsets). ||||Our stay at Hotel Le Palais was one of the highlights of our trip to the Provence region and we will be sure to return at a future date. Make sure you keep a look out for resident cat "Mozart" - adored by the townsfolk and guests alike!!!

This is a brilliant hotel if you are travelling on a budget. It is beautifully decorated with a great area for children near the breakfast area. Good wifi reception in the breakfast area also for those essential emails. The room was clean and cleaned daily and again beautifully decorated. The room had a television and the bed was very comfortable but what makes this hotel outstanding is the staff. I was greeted in the warmest and most friendly way when I arrived and the level of courtesy and warmth never dropped throughout my stay. When you leave the hotel on a Saturday morning you walk straight into Apt's famous provencal market (and next door to the hotel is a wonderful delicatessen). From Apt you can hike to Saignon, Rousillon and Bonnieux. It is a ideally situated for cycling, and a bus journey will take you into Avignon. Barry
