Hôtel Restaurant Mariosa

My husband and I visited Hotel Mariosa on our honeymoon and we had the most amazing experience we could have ever imagined. Everything was perfect — they found out it was our honeymoon and upgraded our room to a luxurious suite, we experienced the kindest and most attentive service, we ate and drank the most delicious food and drinks, and the location and ambiance could not have been more fabulous. Everything was 100000% PERFECT! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you for having us and we will absolutely be back!!!!

We had such a great time! This hotel is great because it meets your expectations and standards. Beautiful setting and decor, with a small private beach and pool. Very nice aesthetics. Best food we had in Corsica. Very kind and friendly service. And the room is practical with with anything you would need. It is really a beautiful, high quality 'boutique' hotel. Not a 'luxury 5 star palace'.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in. Amazing setting, lovely team at front desk, restaurant/bar and also the room service team. So fast to pop in and refresh everything when we were out or eating. The rooms are wonderful (with blackout shutters). Beaches nearby are amazing. We also drove into the mountains to do canyoning which was a highlight. |Lovely food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expensive but worth it. Will return. |(Gym needs some 5kg weights and a water fountain!)

The Hotel Mariosa is a true hidden gem, nestled in one of the most picturesque locations on the south coast of Corsica. Ideally situated, it’s close to all the must-see spots in the region, making it the perfect base for exploring.||The ambience is serene and relaxed — an ideal setting to unwind and fully enjoy the beauty of Corsica. The staff are absolutely wonderful: warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay exceptional. Their efforts in creating such a welcoming atmosphere made our experience truly first-class.||Our room was stunning — modern, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and style.||We were especially impressed by the restaurant. The evening began with an apéritif while watching the sunset by the water’s edge, in the most stunning setting, followed by beautifully prepared meals, enhanced with a fine wine. The experience was so delightful that we chose to dine at the hotel on several occasions.||We will definitely be returning...we would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so special at the Hotel Mariosa!

Wow, what a fabulous hotel! I was traveling solo and decided to book one night initially. I’ve found sometimes, the hotel ambiance might be different from what you were expecting, but upon arrival, I almost immediately decided to stay a second night. Architecturally, the rooms are stunning. In room bathtub is beautiful, along with the set up of the bed. The rooms are very spacious. I loved the location tucked out of the way in the woods. It felt so quiet and calm and I had a great time sunbathing and ordering drinks by the pool! As for the staff, they really are what make this place special, like Thomas at reception, who will put a smile on your face ☺️. They also would note when I went out to dinner and would prepare my room for the evening by closing the blinds. I actually don’t like when people enter my room, especially during a short stay, but I did appreciate that level of thoughtfulness. I had one issue when I came back from dinner and the door hadn’t been closed firmly shut. Make sure the door is firmly pulled closed, or else it will stay ajar. I cannot wait to bring my parents here one day and stay for longer!

Nice hotel in a good location. We had a beautiful spotless suite with two bedrooms and a terrace. The service was not great. At check-in the receptionist made is wait 10 minutes while she was on the phone. Breakfast felt rushed and not friendly enough. The beach is not great - no sunbeds, only mattresses and only a few. Probably okay but think there’s better options in Corsica.

What a dreadful experience. We turn up at 2.15 and asked where we could get lunch and they said there restaurant closed and we should drive 15 min to get food. We then asked about breakfast and they scoff at us and said it’s NEVER included with Booking.com as though we were scum. Dinner came and it was difficult to order as we just wanted a small sea bass. When the bill came the sea bass was €165 for 2 and we complain and again they said we only do 1.5kg fish. We paid but begrudgingly. The next day we turn up for dinner and they said they didn’t have a booking , again we showed the email showing there confirmation , and they made it feel like they were doing us a huge favour to fit us in. |What a terrible experience for a €1000 per nite hotel. |I would never go back and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Mariosa Hotel is a lovely place with a charming, almost family-operated feel. The calm and fantastic view of the Laguna is truly a highlight. I found the staff to be consistently courteous, and the food was good. The rooms were generous in size and well-equipped, boasting a fantastical view of the beach. The beach area itself was very inviting.|However, as I was visiting for a business trip, the internet connection unfortunately wasn't robust enough to handle the needs of multiple people, which did disrupt our three days of meetings.|The hotel did make an effort to address the mosquito issue, and while it's generally a known problem on the island, we did feel relatively less affected at the hotel.|Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Mariosa Hotel, particularly for leisure travelers looking for a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Business travelers should inquire specifically about internet capabilities beforehand.

I deeply regret the long overdue review that I should have submitted in early October 2020, but like many, it's been quite the year, & I failed following up as promised. I visited Hotel Mariosa in Portovecchio and thanks to an incredible team my stay was one of the most memorable stays that I will treasure for many years to come. The entire staff went above & beyond to ascertain my stay was perfect in every respect. Having said that, I still have to mention: Fuziq, Vasken, Victoria, & Americo, who truly exerted every effort to plan my every activity & all the logistics involved in each. They truly provided IMPECCABLE customer service from the moment I arrived & until my departure. I will forever keep the most precious memories of my time spent at Hotel Mariosa & everyone's warm welcome & gracious hospitality. The hotel was absolutely perfect in every respect & I will definitely be back with family & friends. Keep up the magnificent work, & I look forward to visiting again very soon.
