Overall: A perfectly decent stay — not a five-star experience, but good value for the price. The hotel and its restaurant are both solid choices if you want tasty food, nice city views, and a safe neighbourhood without paying a premium. The stay: Rooms and facilities are acceptable rather than luxurious. Cleanliness wasn’t impeccable, but the staff clearly made an effort to keep things in order. A noticeable downside was the water supply on the top floor — the tap pressure there was very weak, which could be inconvenient for guests on upper levels. On the plus side, the location feels safe and the views of the city are attractive. The restaurant: The food is tasty and well-priced. You can expect good, enjoyable meals — nothing overly fancy, but reliably satisfying. My husband and I stayed here at the beginning and end of our 6 week trip in Madagascar and were happy with our stay overall. The room was spacious (we could both do yoga easily) with a lovely view, great central location and pleasant staff. The laundry was by far the most expensive we’ve ever had and took longer than expected with 3 items missing. The cafe was hit and miss for us, sometimes great, other times not, but always affordable which was nice.

Very good budget hotel halfway between the Basse Ville and the Haute Ville, so it's a bit of a climb to get here. Views from terrace are spectacular though. My room was basic but very clean, and, considering the unbeatably competitive price, the place is extremely good value. Best thing about the hotel may be the fantastic restaurant, which serves sophisticated creations in a French/Malagasy fusion style, and is also extremely good value. Recommended.

Well situated in the capital of Madagascar, Antanarivo. Very good for your businees stay. Warm welcome . Calm place and in the center of Antananarivo. I sugget this hotel to all my clients coming to visit Madagascar. From hier, you can start your visit around the big island.

Great rooms - comfortable and with decent wifi. Good location and reasonably priced. We loved the rooftop terrace overlooking the city.

A comfortable and lovely hotel with an incredible view! The rooms in the lower part are dark (good for sleeping) but charming. The rooms above are airy and bright. Beautiful decor and lovely sitting areas on the terrace and by the tv. The staff was attentive and kind. Fetra, at the bar, was kind and made everyone feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again in Tana.

We loved this place - after a bit of a bumpy start ... our first night was in a windowless room which they were unable to change but the following day we got a beautiful room with a view across the city and its jacaranda trees. The location is superb - a pretty easy walk into town and up to the Haute Ville (if you go have a drink at Maison Vue Royale!); it has a lovely balcony off the bar and dining room. The food was excellent - probably the best we had in Madagscar. They are quite tight on staffing in the dining room so coffee took a while in the morning but for those with a little patience its a lovely hotel with great staff (most English speaking).

Really enjoyed our stay here. View from balcony over Trana lovely. Staff helpful and most speak some English. We stayed in one of the cheapest rooms, satisfactory and great price for those of us travelling on a budget. Loved the location, walking distance to most things (even if up and down a very steep hill)
