Location perfect a short walk from train station and very short walk to promenade. Room spotlessly clean and traditional Swiss style, beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Whilst there is no elevator staff are more than happy to assist with luggage.

While the Hotel Rebstock is housed in a historic building, the interior is modern, being bright, clean, and decorated accordingly.||||Located in the old town of Lucerne near the Hofkirche, the hotel is between the main area of the Altstadt and the Lion Monument. Lucerne Train Station is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take a short bus ride using a free transport pass that the hotel will send you via email before your arrival.||||The hotel does have an elevator, but you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach it, and it stops between floors and you must walk.uo to your respective floor. While this wasn’t an issue for us, I can see it being an issue for anyone with mobility concerns.||||Our room was a corner room, when we entered we were welcomed with a handwritten postcard and a bar of soap engraved with the hotel’s name as a gift, this was a very nice touch. The room was a decent size, with a comfy full sized bed but had flat pillows. Linens and towels were clean and comfortable. The bathroom, however, was a bit unusual as it had a door with a glass panel that featured two frosted strips going across it, privacy felt lacking when using it.||||It’s important to note that the hotel does not have air conditioning. During a July heatwave, our room became quite hot during the day and stayed warm into the evening. Fortunately, the hotel provided a fan for the room which we left running to help cool the room down while we were out exploring the city and surrounding area.||||All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers breakfast at an additional charge, but we did not partake.||||Overall, our stay at the Rebstock was excellent, and a stay is recommend it if you’re visiting Lucerne.

Hotel Rebstock is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Our room was beautiful and roomy with a lovely view. It is in a perfect location in beautiful Lucerne. We were there at Easter and the ancient St. Leodeger Catholic Chirch was right next door, so perfect for attending Mass. the restaurant is attached to the hotel, and we had delicious dinners there two nights. The receptionists and all the staff were so very polite, nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

An older, historical hotel. Loved the vibe. Great location and surrounded by buzzing restaurants. Useful amenities in room - including a fan (surprising how many hotels dont provide this by default in summer). Only downside is noise on weekends. May need to bring ear plugs for Friday nights. White noise from fan helps. I would still stay here again.

We were recommended this tavern for a meal by our hotel as being a traditional restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were very accommodating even though we hadn’t booked on this Saturday night. The service and food were exceptional. We only had one main course each, which was plenty for us. Atmosphere was lovely and friendly. Would recommend if you are staying in the area. Also it’s on an easy bus route.

From the moment we walked into Hotel Rebstock, we felt welcomed by the staff. Our room was lovely, with a view of both a beautiful church and Pilatus from the balcony. We loved the location; it was a short walk or bus ride to the train station, but the area wasn't as crowded as the more touristy locations. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we ate there both nights!

Did not stay at hotel but had lunch outside on patio. Delicious asparagus risotto and seasonal strawberry salad. Friendly waiter and great views.

Yelp
Walked in the general direction of a restaurant that had been recommended by our guide. Found Rebstock and was seated at the back, without a reservation. Hubby ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the veal sausage. We also ordered a green salad to share. All were good, just too big. We had strawberry ice cream for dessert. I had the veal and some of the potatoes boxed up for placing in our room's refrigerator. We ate the veal (cold) as snack the next day, and I planned on taking the Rosti potatoes home to Portland, the next day. (Hubby forgot, he almost forgot our left over pizza too). Negative: Waitress didn't ask us, if we wanted French or Italian Dressing on our salad. Because it was part of a hotel, the restroom of course looks like one of our hotel restroom. First Class!

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by a guide and I can see why. He said they had traditional Swiss food. Well the selection was amazing. And they even had an English translation that I appreciated. They had a large choice of delicious sounding foods. I am vegetarian and there were many choices. I chose a vegetable spatzele dish. Oh my. The variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts. And the spatzele came with a cranberry sauce and was mixed with all sorts of interesting things. My dish was art. There was a peach with cranberry in it. A cabbage leaf with shredded cabbage inside. Some squash, brussel sprouts and other treats. I loved this dish. My partner got a fish and chips sort of dish. The fries you could tell were homemade. The fish was cooked perfectly. And it was a huge portion. The food came with a basket of good Swiss bread! With a sort of tomato butter. We also had iced tea and beer. The staff was also helpful and wonderful. We are visiting this area and the restaurant, setting, ambiance, made for a memorable and special evening. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Food was okay but nothing we would try other restaurants first. We had a few dishes and the most memorable was a slow cooked beef dish. The gravy had good flavor but the beef itself had a terrible texture and not reminiscent of slow cooked meat. The waitstaff were definitely kept busy by the constant stream of people walking through the square. The atmosphere was ok but the view from the terrace was very nice.

Yelp
The service was quick for an American . Sat outside and the street was quiet. The ambiance was charming.

Yelp
The location is superb! It's a short walk to the train and restaurants. There's a restaurant on site, I didn't eat there but there were lots of people there so I assume it was good. The furniture was very unique in a retro way. I loved the shower. The customer service was really good and they had complimentary water downstairs which was super helpful when you're a tired tourist who forgot to buy water. It doesn't look very fancy inside but I would recommend this place.

Yelp
Excellent local cuisine, the service was good and very accommodating. Not speaking the language did not present a problem as the menu was translated into English. It was a quaint restaurant nicely tucked away. Totally enjoyed the meal.

Yelp
Had a very disappointing dinner here. Read some reviews saying this place was decent and affordable for Lucerne so we gave it a shot. My friend ordered the meatloaf and I got the traditional sausage dish, I think called the Olma. Both dishes were quite unsatisfying. No flavor, nothing that stood out, just something to stuff down and fill you up. We each payed about 35 dollars for something that was worth maybe 10. Oh well...

Yelp
Walked in rain from the train station into the old town at 9pm based on advice of a local. The clocks on the grand building were a helpful marker to walk towards. My son enjoyed the veal Lucern and I enjoyed the Lucern Riesling and green salad. The Waitress was very helpful. Overall a Lovely Lucern bistro serving a well prepared meal. Amazing that the streets were buzzing at 11 near the train station when we left. Thankfully the locals were v helpful. Lovely even at 11pm!

Yelp
We had lunch here, it was superb. I had the French toast, very well prepared and quite different tasting than French toast made in the USA. My girlfriend had a salad with sausage which she said was quite good. We had some Swiss wine that was also very good. For Lucerne the prices were moderate and the service satisfactory. I would recommend this restaurant.
