While the Hotel Rebstock is housed in a historic building, the interior is modern, being bright, clean, and decorated accordingly.||||Located in the old town of Lucerne near the Hofkirche, the hotel is between the main area of the Altstadt and the Lion Monument. Lucerne Train Station is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take a short bus ride using a free transport pass that the hotel will send you via email before your arrival.||||The hotel does have an elevator, but you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach it, and it stops between floors and you must walk.uo to your respective floor. While this wasn’t an issue for us, I can see it being an issue for anyone with mobility concerns.||||Our room was a corner room, when we entered we were welcomed with a handwritten postcard and a bar of soap engraved with the hotel’s name as a gift, this was a very nice touch. The room was a decent size, with a comfy full sized bed but had flat pillows. Linens and towels were clean and comfortable. The bathroom, however, was a bit unusual as it had a door with a glass panel that featured two frosted strips going across it, privacy felt lacking when using it.||||It’s important to note that the hotel does not have air conditioning. During a July heatwave, our room became quite hot during the day and stayed warm into the evening. Fortunately, the hotel provided a fan for the room which we left running to help cool the room down while we were out exploring the city and surrounding area.||||All staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers breakfast at an additional charge, but we did not partake.||||Overall, our stay at the Rebstock was excellent, and a stay is recommend it if you’re visiting Lucerne.
