Hotel Restaurant Weinklause

I am flabbergasted by the quality of this hotel. It's probably the cutest hotel I have ever stayed at (and those are many) and there is so much extra. The staff is wonderful and goes far out of their way to make sure your stay is great. My room was amazing. There is also a lot of specific local things. The staff, the room and the food all give a very clear mountain house vibe. Really well done team Weinklause!

I really enjoyed the meal. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, and the ice cream was delightful.

Room/environment: 4/5 the room we order included the kitchen and living room, and bedroom. It was overall a bit smaller than expected especially the bathroom. A sauna and relaxation area was nice and included with the room. The hotel is right in tourist area of Oberstdorf and walkable to everything. Cost: 4/5 a little pricier than some places, but definitely would it for the amenities. This includes free breakfast, sauna and relaxation area, and a €5 per person pass that covers the bus and some other local tickets like Rathaus museum entry. Service: 5/5 the service was great and they were really fast to respond through email. We believe the owner also cooks for breakfast and is always smiling when he comes out with a fresh skillet of fried eggs.

Good food, but terrible service. No attention and long wait times. The candle on the table was never lit for the entire dinner. 10 minutes until we got the menus and none of the waitresses even looked at our table. The food was prepared and served fast, but we had to wait at least 15 minutes for the plates to be removed, and even after asking to pay it took another 10-15 minutes before we actually got the bill. If you want to eat here, make sure you're doing so when there are no other guests, to ensure you get the service you're paying for.

The Weinklause is located just five minutes from the heart of Oberstdorf. You need 3 Minutes to the Oberstdorfhaus and maybe 10 minutes to the Lift for the Nebelhorn. The rooms are nice, don't expect a design hotel, its classic bavarian with a lot of wood works. The bathroom though was very modern and very very clean. The breakfast buffet is quite big with everything you know from a good buffet. The Hotel owner himself will deliver you some fresh eggs right out of his pan - if you like. ||The internet is a bit slow, but everything else is super fine!

This hotel is well located on a quiet street less than 5 minutes from the centre of town, about 5 minutes from the bus/train station and 1 minute from the Therme/Spa. ||||The hotel is split between the main hotel/bar/ restaurant and some aparetments next door. The apartment I stayed in was nice and clean, well maintained. It was cleaned everyday. Maybe it could have been a little bit warmer.||||The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast selection was very good with lots of breads, cereals, meats etc. The restaurant also had a big menu and the once I ate there it was good.||||This is a well located hotel for skiing and I would stay there again if I return to Oberstdorf.

Nice hotel, lovely staff, some rooms a little dated and missing AC but clean and comfortable and also big. WiFi fast, delicious breakfast. Can't fault it.

We had a room with balcony and small kitchen. The sleaper sofa for the 3rd person could have been more comfortable. The beds were fine. Good dinner (3 menus) and we loved the extended breakfast buffet. Very close to the thermal spa and sauna. You can also buy discounted tickets for the spa and cable cars at the reception. Very convenient. Nice garden. Free parking (outdoor). Oberstdorf is a very charming town, very close to Austria, so you can easily visit the Austrian cable cars (Kleinwalsertal).
