Great hotel breakfast was outstanding. E-bikes are like 20 euros for the day but are really nice ones. Close to the Abby. We arrived late but it was no problem there is a lock box. Front desk was so helpful. Would def go back again

Everything about this hotel is perfection. The staff greeted us in such a friendly manner it was as if we weee their first guests. Our room, one of the suites, was impeccable. It must have been recently renovated as everything was beautifully designed with top notch materials. The large bathroom with shelves for toiletries was modern and pampering. ||The suite had a mini-beverage fridge, A/C, and an LG tv. There were plenty of electrical outlets, including one above each bedside table for charging convenience. |The food in the restaurant was so good we ended up eating there both nights. ||There is also an ice cream shop connected to the hotel. Do yourself a favor and try the apricot ice cream. Insanely good!

If it wasn’t for the issue of sleep disturbed by bells, I’d give this place 4/5. It’s an old hotel with a cute exterior and charmingly gemütlich restaurant - excellent Backhendl, gemischte salat and house Grüner Veltliner by the carafe - and is right in the centre of Melk and an easy walk up to the spectacular abbey. Our room was comfortable with a king-size bed and a good shower - though in all-too frequently found Teutonic fashion, all signs that that the hotel is historic have been banished from the bedrooms and bedroom corridors. There’s easy, convenient parking right behind the hotel. ||But then there’s the familiar Central European issue of church bells ringing through the night. The abbey church wasn’t too terrible - it waits till 6am to wake the whole village (but couldn’t they wait until 7am?). The parish church next to the hotel is even more keen on preventing sleep, waking us at 3am with three loud rings, and presumably it rang on the other hours though we miraculously slept through them. The lady at breakfast confirmed that the parish church rings throughout the night on the hours and quarter-hours. This was disappointing as I went to the trouble of ringing the hotel to ask if there was an issue with church bells ringing through the night and was told there wasn’t.

Beyond the fact that Melk is a beautiful place to visit, this Hotel was excellent. Friendly service from every member of staff, and the restaurant, too. Breakfast selection and quality were also superb. Room was clean and charming. A great stay!

Stayed here for one night as we were traveling in between Salzburg and Vienna. The hotel itself is lovely with large, clean rooms and despite being on the main square it was very quiet. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they are less than a 10 minute walk to the Abbey and also provide free parking. We also had the pleasure of having dinner at the restaurant as well as breakfast. Both of which were fantastic and the staff were so nice.

We did not stay here but we wanted to leave our bags and have lunch. We were quite surposied by service. The staff was really nice. I highly recommend it.

Nice food and good kids menu. Friendly staff and dishes based on local ingredients and season. Nice location by the square overlooking the Melk abbey.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The rooms were spotless, the service wonderful, the view was fantastic. Such a lovely stay! Thank you .

Order the Marillen knodel which is the apricot dumpling. It's made to order so there's a little wait. Well worth it. This restaurant is located on a cute street in Melk. Don't know about the rest of the menu/service etc. but this was worth the visit specifically for the apricot dumpling. Not really sweet. The outer part is actually made of potato and flour, add an apricot and boil. Then rolled in bread crumbs sauteed with butter. They also had a nice apricot sauce to add.

Very pleasant small restaurant. There were several options for vegetarians, including spinach, mushroom & cheese pierogi. The pierogi were perfectly prepared with freshly made pasta and served with an excellent salad of micro greens and fresh vinaigrette. My mate's fried chicken with potato salad and greens was excellent as was the local Riesling chosen by our waiter Peter who was fluent in English.

The dinner we had here was fabulous. I had fried chicken and it was great. My wife had grilled chicken that was very tender & flavorful and she said it was the best she had eaten on our 2 week trip.
