Hotel Restaurante Casa d'Antonio

This place is such a great find!! We ate dinner here in their beautiful backyard gardens while birdwatching and it was marvelous. We ordered the vegetarian paella and a seafood stew/casserole and both were prepared SO lovingly and it was the best meal of our trip yet. Some of the bigger mains are closer to 70,000 but ours were only 20,000 and 35,000 each which made it reasonably priced considering how good it was!! Highly recommend. The service is a bit slow but it didn’t bother us in the least because the garden was so beautiful and the food was made with such love!

Most professional staff und best Food so far. They have incredible seafood and a really nice garden and river to relax. We really enjoyed our stay, although the room had no own bathroom and no ac. The prices are also pretty good. |Thumbs up for Antonio!

We headed up to Minca for an afternoon and decided to stay for a bite to eat. We liked the variety of cuisines mentioned on the sign so headed inside. In the back is an open air dining area and a terraced garden that descends to the river. Hummingbirds abound. The food was great (we opted for pasta). The chef used herbs from the garden and created a very tasty meal. All too soon we had to head to the center of the village to catch the last bus down to Santa Marta.

We booked a room here based on the great reviews and gorgeous photos. Unfortunately, that place is no more. Antonio is a great guy and he and his family are starting over in a new space in the center of Minca. Great food, very welcoming. Plans for new casitas out back overlooking the river. But for now it is not the idyll that past reviews suggest. TripAdvisor should do a reset on this listing.

In february 2019, my wife and me spent 2 nights in this house, an excellent location close to the center of Minca. The place is unique, with the terrace overlooking the botanical garden, which leads to the river.||Antonio is a fantastic host, he will provide you all the help you might need. ||The breakfast, included in the price, is good and generous. Take your dinner there, the restaurant is excellent.||We recommend Casa d’Antonio 100%

We probably had the worst room, we were rehoused from Cocina del Campo because of the mess made of our booking. Very basic room, incredibly noisy wall fan, shared a horrid bathroom with the restaurant. Expensive for what it was. Dinner a long wait but very good Spanish - a large shared plate of mixed fish with thin, small pasta and vegetables - delicious. So: check out the rooms before you decide to stay - there were others including one with a bathroom, already occupied, so have no idea if they were better. The garden looked pretty. Antonio and his wife are welcoming and she is a great cook.

We had reservations for 3 nights. The views were amazing and very tranquil. The second day they informed us when we returned from a hike that the hotel was moving to a different place closer to town and they had to be out by 6 pm. We watched them pack up and move everything. We spent 2 nights with them in town. The property has river access. We missed being up in the hills-which was why we booked this place. The new property needs work, but they are committed to fixing it up. Antonio is a wonderful chef and nice guy. ||I noticed the website is not updated. To get to the new place go over the bridge and it's a short distance up the hill.

We stayed at the hotel one night and had dinner here. What we liked: the garden was really beautiful and a nice place to have a meal. The food was kind of hit or miss. It took a long time to get our dinner and the wine came after we finished eating.
