Stayed one night in winter on my way through which was ok. There is a row of bungalows at the back of a main building of which the restaurant was closed The room was comfortable with a good working ac heater. Internet was poor and failed from time to time. Moreover I got a warning that the router software was outdated and not safe to use. There was no breakfast buffet but I could makevmy own warm sandwich with good ham and cheese

Everything was exactly as sold and the big tick was the air conditioning working regardless of the time of day or temperature. 4 and 5 star hotels that I have stayed in on this trip don't advertise the AC isn't available all the time. It's only when you arrive you find this out. La Codorniz AC just worked and kept the room pleasant. Big big tick. Room was clean, comfortable and everything about our stay matched or went above our expectations. Parking was free Regret not using the pool but we were only there for one night.

We stayed there for 2 night. According to it's price it is a great choice. The rooms are clean and simple. The staff is nice and place is authentic. We liked it. Ideal choice for a few days.

We spent 3 nights there with my family. The room are really small but neat. It's a well maintained hotel but clearly not a 3 star. The breakfast wasn't good at all and I find way too expensive for what it was. The food at the restaurant was really expensive for what it was especially if you compare it to other very nice options in Tarifa and surrounding. That being said the young man at the reception in the afternoon is very nice and professional.

When I booked the place, I had doubts about the quality, based on the previous reviews and photos. I have to say my doubts were not founded.|I had a room in the boongalows, which is a U shape part of the residency, facing a small garden with grass, roses and small trees and an internal parking (the parking is closed overnight, from 24:00 to 6:00).|Although the hotels is on the main road from Tarifa to Cadiz, the bungalow rooms are behind the main building, so they are very quiet. Behind the bungalows there is a small swimming pool and sunbathing areas, all spotless clean and well maintained.||The beds are a bit hard (for my taste), but good quality, perfectly clean and well maintained. The WiFi is on and off, as the main antenna is in the main hotel building. Overall I liked the accomodation, very quiet and peaceful.||In the monring one can take a cold breakfast: selection of meat, cheese, tomatoes, youghurts, jams and toasted bread for an incredible low price.... totally recommended! And great coffee too!||All the personnel in the reception and bar/restaurant area were very helful and ready to offer advices and help.||The place is perfect if you have a car, as the parking is free and secure; not sure what are the transport options for public tranport, as the place feels quite remote. By car, Tarifa is 5min away (plenty of bars and restaurants) and the beach is just across the main road, crossing a small forest.

Great place rooms are clean and location next to the ocean is great. What is worth to mention that the place is cleaned and managed by good and honest people - we left valuable thing in the room and we get it back with help of stuff ;)

We had a great time here. The bungalows were very clean, there's a saltwater pool, the family who own it are extremely helpful, and it's literally 5 minutes from the beach. We had dinner here on the first night and the food was delicious. There are lots of small roadside bars and restaurants nearby too, but for some you'll need to use the car if you have small kids. The beaches around there are wild and the best for kite surfing and also very family friendly. It's about 6kms from the centre of Tarifa. We enjoyed it a lot.

The Codorniz is set back from the busy coastal road, about 3 miles outside Tarifa. It is no more than a 5 minute walk from a long stunning beach||||The grounds of the hotel are lovely. There are lots of shrubs and flowers and a large lawn with plenty of loungers. There is also a really nice swimming pool||||The rooms are pretty basic but they are clean, quiet and comfortable with good showers||||The breakfast at 5.5 Euro was brilliant value. Fresh fruit, bread, croissants, and orange juice. Also excellent coffee||||We looked at dinner but, in my opinion it was well overpriced. In addition the two men behind the bar that I spoke to about dinner were unfriendly and grumpy||||By contrast the young lady on reception was great as was the guy who was in charge at breakfast
