We stopped here on the way to southern Spain from Bilbao. It is very convenient - just off the motorway. Rooms are spacious and the staff friendly, although English is limited. Lovely walk into the pretty town along a riverside. There is not a lot in the town but it is worth a visit. We had a reasonable meal in the restaurant for the incredible price of €11.50 per head including wine! Breakfast is basic but fine and the cheapest we found at under €3!

A useful stop on the way back to Bilbao via some lovely quiet roads (visit the castle at Gormaz). As others have said a 10 minute walk to the delightful town of Almazán - although the choice of restaurants is limited. Nice large rooms and comfortable beds. All very clean and efficient - if a little characterless. Friendly staff and easy parking. Recommend.

It was clean and the room was pleasant. The breakfast was quite pleasant and the coffee was nice. On the down side it is very noisy at night with kitchen noise until 2am and the restaurant staff were unhelpful and surly.

Villa de Almazar looks new built and is the best offer in the town. Location is perfect, just 5 minutes walking from the centre. Spacey parking area. Town itself is really worth paying attention. ||Rooms are clean and not small. Great bathrooms. AC works exceptional – quiet and effectively. First impression is that guest attempts higher level facilities. But soon some countryside features hold you down. There is very much local culture what you can find both amazing or disgusting. Nobody speaks English. Reception and restaurant are also kindergarten for staff children. They playing around every day, all cleaning woman and receptionist women care about all these children since they are Mummies for them. Family atmosphere if you would like call it this way. If you like a woman whistling under your room door you get it for free – probably cleaning staff do not like using iPods but still like music. Internet connection is a real disaster. Be patient. Food in restaurant is very average and waiters are fast but not friendly. Restaurant is open for dinner between 21:00 and 23:00. Hungry at 8 PM? Go out to the town. Breakfasts are very humbled. Restaurant only room is divided in two parts – smoking and non-smoking. In fact it is smoking area, very disappointed. A good side of the hotel is their price list. Summary – if you do not care you find similar feelings in Villa de Almazar personel.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Almazan, 10 minutes walking from its beautiful center. It has plenty of parking space, the rooms are spacious but poorly noise insulated (you can hear all conversations in other rooms) and not very clean (the shower screen was mouldy). Breakfast is real bad, basically industrial pastries and bad cold cuts.

Simple hotel with spacious rooms (huge bathroom) although a bit spartan. It doesn't look like a 4 star hotel, but it is pleasant to stay there and there is also a restaurant where you can eat quite well.||Overall a very positive rating at a reasonable price.

The hotel is in a country location 130 miles away from Madrid. Very clean and quiet, city kind hotel in a small village. I've spent many nights there in work travels, I always return there.|

Nice modern and fairly new hotel but the walls are paper thin. Can hear every word from adjoining rooms.
