Hotel Rexton

real romanian experience where you sleep in hotel which was probably something big 10 years ago but then somebody fired cleaning lady, handyman and everybody from maintenance team ! super dirty windows, that do not open, dirty a/c (see photos) which can only heat your room, thin walls which lets you hear everything and breakfast where you can have cold scrambled eggs and fried cheese ! even wifi is not great but you can borrow router from reception desk and it helps ! i’mm giving two stars because rooms are big however everything else - disgusting !

Positives: Good location, close to main places. A/C works well, breakfast is good. ||Negatives: In general room and more importantly bathroom and bathroom utensils need major renovation as they’re broken. Should also change the rugs on the floor as well

I've traveled the world for business and pleasure for 20+ years. Needless to say, I've been to some crazy places and have stayed at every level of of hotel from 0 to 5. The Rexton Hotel and staff from the minute I walked in the door I felt at home. Me feeling at home when I'm staying somewhere is absolute key. I stayed at the hotel for 3.5 weeks, so I'm coming from a place of a multiple night experience and can speak with confidence in my review. |The rooms were clean and well kept. If I had a complaint it would be the shower. But I'm a tall broad shouldered guy, so getting a shower that works well is not the easiest to begin with. |The absolute icing on the cake was their gym. This is by far the best "hotel" gym I've ever seen. I wouldn't even denigrate it by calling it a "hotel" gym. The set up and equipment they've got is better than some gyms I've been to. And, right next to the gym is a legit sauna. I'm talking 190*+f legit. Incredible for a hotel in my opinion. |The staff Wana, and Jennifer, were amazing, friendly, and the perfect "face" of the company. I truly appreciated the attention they showed me, even on days when the place was sold out they still made sure I have whatever it was I needed. |So if you're lucky enough to find yourself in Craiova, great city to find yourself in, do yourself a favor and book your stay at The Rexton!

Not a 4 star hotel. Ownership and staff were wonderful. Friendly and professional. The rooms were a good size and furnishings were relatively new; however, cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The carpet in my room (102) was filthy. To top it all off, the room was nearly unbearably hot during my two night stay. Granted, it's July... But something was wrong and nothing was done to fix it. The highlight of my stay was the restaurant. The food was outstanding. 5 star!

The staff of the hotel was definitely great as they tried to help you as much as possible despite most of them being unable to speak English. Wifi was abysmal throughout my stay and the hotel rooms were very outdated with quick fixes which were an eyesore to see. The bathroom could receive a major overhaul.

The most luxurious hotel in Craiova. Since I entered the door I was greeted with the smile on my lips. Very spacious and clean room. The staff were very receptive to the customer's needs. I served it in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. At breakfast I was surprised how varied is the menu (if I wanted something else I get without paying extra). Exceptional interior design. I recommend this hotel, and I will surely come back with pleasure. Congratulations to the head of the hotel, I felt great.

The staff and owner are top of the line for customer service. The bar is open and friendly. The food is good and the location is nice. You can walk to the down town area or the railway station. The botanical gardens are also within walking distance. They also have a top of the line fitness gym with free weights and machines. Loved it. Worked out every night. The beds are firm and the rooms quite and clean. The hotel is modern but feels historic and traditional on the inside. Nice furnishing. I did not feel like a guest but rather like a friend that was staying the night. |I give it 4 stars...|

A very good and nice hotel. The staff was very frieny and they have delicious candys at the reception :). |We went there on a business trip and really enjoyed it. |The rooms were warm,clean and cozy. We had a special dinner at the restaurant at the staff was friendly and kind enough to stay long after the program to let us enjoy our small party. |Hope we didn't disturb many people while singing and playing the guitar but we really had a great time.
