One week here in May 2013. The staff were amazingly helpful and the owner better versed in cooking for a veggie guest than anywhere else I've stayed in Spain! Portion sizes at meals were extremely generous, the food fresh and simply cooked. Powershower in a good sized bathroom. The bar attracts plenty of locals in the early evenings. The hotel is in a pretty square and barely a minute from the river that runs through the town - a lovely peaceful spot. My room was to the side, rather than facing the square, which meant I had a view of the collegiate church and the family of storks nesting on the tower!

Came for the annual renaissance festival with a host family who I am loving with for a month. They had booked a room 5 months in advance (this is a very popular festival for the local people of Madrid). I was lucky enough to get a last minute room. The room was perfect. Definitely had that medieval feel. I had a balcony with a great view of part of the town. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was included with our room (not sure if this is a common thing). The hotel was in the perfect location, close to a beautiful church and a short walk to a local river where you can swim and have lunch at a little cafe outdoors. It was also about 3 min from the center of town, which was good because, late at night, some of the festivities don't end until 2-3 am, so if you like to sleep early, you are not right there in the center of the noise. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Small rural hotel in overlooking the square. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. Rooms immaculately clean. Breakfast all homemade with local jams. Our dogs were made equally welcome! If you want a friendly, warm and welcoming truly rural spanish experience visit this hotel in beautiful Covarrubias.

A last minute booking and we arrived on a rainy evening. Welcomed warmly by the owner Eloy. Our room was wonderful overlooking the square; comfortable beds and all the amenities you need. Breakfast was fresh and generous with great coffee. Highly recommended.

We had a walking holiday here, the hotel was full with our group. Elroy couldn't do enough to make us welcome; wonderful food, nice rooms, lots of hot water and amazing gin & tonics!|Don't expect a 5* experience, this is a lovely old village and the hotel just can't offer the same as a modern box. We only saw Spanish tourists, so it's a hidden gem.

We stayed here for 1 week with a small group. The room was large and adequate located at the rear of the hotel. Towels changed every day, beds every 2 days. The barman is a real character (although we did not understand what he was saying!......our lack of Spanish! ).||Elroy, the chef/owner is terrific........his food is "fantastico"!!! He catered for all of our group who had various dietary requirements.

I loved my stay at Chindasvinto hotel, the atmosphere and the hospitality. The rooms are nicely decorated, they are clean and well-furnished. The location is outstanding, with a lovely view over the tower and Colegiata de San Cosme y San Damián. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent!
