I traveled here with my family. We didn't stay in the hotel. Instead, we had a flat tire near this hotel. The hotel host helped us fix the problem without having any payment. It was totally for free. He is really a good man. I believe he also runs one of the greatest hotels. Therefore, I strongly recommend it to every travel to experience the place here since the pool in the hotel has the fabulous view. Thanks to the host, we could have a wonderful memory here.

Stopped to relieve ourselves and stumbled across an amazing pool. 1300 Kr each for pretty much exclusive use of the pool as the hotel was closed but a very nice lady let us in the pool. Amazing views, lots of great bird sounds, and varied temperatures all over the pool. Parts of it were obviously still under construction but the pool itself was lovely. The hotel… looks like it belongs in Soviet Russia from the outside but no idea what the inside is like. Nice to stumble across a great pool in a very rural location.

We had stopped to grab some dinner as we were very hungry and there aren’t many options along the way. We were welcomed in and made the most delicious meal of fried fish, coleslaw and chips. Absolutely delicious, we left happy and full. Wonderful hosts and gracious enough to open the kitchen back up to cook for us. Would highly recommend.

Very nice experience, very friendly manager, incredible view, we arrived late and still got food. Price is a bit expensive (35000 crowns for 2) but considering the remote location and it has breakfast and access to hot spring included, it's really not so bad. Only tiny downside is that there's only one electrical outlet in the rooms. Otherwise perfect.

We stopped to use the hot spring and while the adults were going to the front desk to pay, our 4 girls went to the bathroom as we had been on a long car ride. The MALE attendant entered the women’s restroom to scream at our girls for trying to use the restroom with no warning that he was entering. He berated the girls for not reading sign that restrooms were for pool guests only (which they informed him we intended to pay and use the pool) and he continued to scream at our group. Would give zero stars if I could. Wouldn’t stay here unless you’re okay with dealing with hostile employees/owner.

We stopped at Hotel Reykjanes so we could take a soak in the hot pool. It does get very hot in certain areas so be careful if you are not used to the hot springs/pools. You MUST pay for entry for the pool at the front desk and then they will let you into the locker rooms. They are currently rebuilding their sauna. Afterwards, I did have a man walk into the locker room as I was about to get into the shower but other than that no issues. We then went up to the main hotel area and enjoyed a nice lunch.

Very interesting place. Overall we enjoyed it for one night. The owner was great and went the extra mile for our needs. That said is an old school and is used by government for training groups and has a vey institutional, almost creepy, feel. Room was like being back in college dorm room. Not especially clean. Shared baths and showers. Food was barely sufficient and you are trapped away from it all. Wonderfully huge hot water pool and nice changing rooms. We had it to ourselves. Very cool adjacent sites, including the fjord, a salt "factory", seals, very geothermally active. Ask the owner.

Stayed at the camp ground. Had nice bathrooms, showers at the pool were great, pool was awesome. Hot spring fed, it was as hot as you could stand at the south end and cooled as you moved north. The view was amazing, if the aurora was out it would the absolute best place to watch it from. Check out salt works next door while you are there.
