Recently spent 5 nights in this very comfortable and very centrally located hotel. Check in was seamless, all staff spoke perfect English. Rooms are reasonable size with very comfortable twin beds ( in our case), tea/ coffee, TV ( all UK channels). Great amount of storage available. Bathroom is a little tighter in particular the shower cubicle. Having said that the constant hot water, heated bathroom floor and good supply of shampoo/ conditioner etc were much appreciated. One thing to note is that rooms are not serviced daily, you have to ask at reception before 10am for this. Breakfast was really good, lovely selection of cereals, hot and cold food with delicious fruit and pastries. Staff were super efficient and friendly. |Location is another big plus in that main shopping area/ bars/ restaurants together with harbour area for sea tours are all within 5/10 minutes walk. While some reviews have mentioned noise, we did not find this to be an issue as we were located at the back of the hotel looking on to a quiet street. Overall would highly recommend the hotel.

Location central eateries and main street. Easy to find. Friendly and welcoming Reception Staff. Information on availability, choice and cost of rooms clearly given. The twin room was warm, smart and clean. ||Evening eateries were recommended within a short walking distance.||We used the bar. The barman was friendly and kind. We had a pleasant hour partaking of a nightcap before retiring.||The beds were very comfortable, plenty of clean towels available to enable us to take a shower. The warmth of the underfloor heating took the chill away.||There was no noise, not even from the corridor outside. We slept well and the little coffee machine was a pleasure to use before we left.||We were offered breakfast but were unable to to use the meal service as we had to leave at 5am.||All in all a nice unplanned stay.

Hotel ideally located to visit the city centre. Also conveniently located near to city hall which is one of the bus stops for tours & flybus [no.1].||Very comfortable & clean. Excellent breakfast selection. Bar has happy hour so convenient to use. All staff were super friendly. Would happily stay there again & would certainly recommend.

Very quiet hotel in the centre of Reykjavik. Easy walk to everything of interest. Good restaurants close by. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast. Front desk staff extremely helpful and welcoming. If you arrive like us in the early morning they will let you access your room as soon as it is available, not make you wait until the quoted time as many other places. Would definitely stay again.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Reykjavik Centrum. The room was very clean and a good size, with a comfortable bed. It was hot and we had the windows open for air, so we did notice a bit of street noise as weekend revellers wound down their evenings. This was not much of a concern and it was outweighed by the advantages of choosing this hotel. Great location for walkers with many restaurants and attractions nearby; bus stops are also conveniently close to the hotel. Breakfast was terrific with many hot and cold choices. Hotel was very willing to take care of our luggage until our room was ready (we arrived early in the morning). Front desk staff was efficient and friendly, as was the bartender. Shout out to Natalya who went above and beyond to help us with luggage. Don't miss the very interesting Settlement Museum with its entrance right beside the hotel entrance.

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location! The rooms are slightly smaller but the beds are super comfy. Also, the shower was really small but otherwise the room was clean. The breakfast was a lot better than we expected and we really enjoyed it. The staff were accommodating to us, including preparing us a to-go breakfast on our way to the airport and mailing my postcard. We thought there was air conditioning but there wasn’t and we were nervous, but the windows being opened was enough for a breeze. The staff did give us a fan in case we needed it, which we didn’t. Definitely recommended!

We stayed here during our recent trip. The rooms were not big but sufficient and clean. Great location right by the marketplace. There is a convenience store just a few doors down, ice cream shop and lots of restaurants. Easy walk to all of the sights and the harbor. We had asked about parking and the staff told us about the different parking zones. For some reason nobody mentioned that there is an actual parking garage right around the corner. We were able to easily park there for about $30.00 every night. Pillows and comforter were super comfy and housekeeping was available upon request. I enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The room was warm so we had to sleep with the window open. It was a little noisy since the hotel is located on a corner and our room faced the street. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Good breakfast with lots of options. The fresh bread was delicious.

We had a delightful stay at the Hotel Centrum. This was our first visit to Iceland and Reykjavik, a 48 hour stop over on our flight back from London to Boston. Kristyna and the front desk staff were extremely helpful in recommending and booking tours for us, including arranging transportation on the Flybus from the airport to the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, the hotel wonderfully located. It was just right for my wife and me.
