Wonderful hotel with a personal flavor. Reception were able to set up tours and book cars for us. They just made everything so easy. I realize I can be hard to please but the desk bent over backwards to offer their assistance. Hats off to Ella and Kristina. Its makes it so much easier in a new country when the folks you deal with have a sense of humor. BTW the hotel is clean and does offer a free breakfast along with being right in the center of town!

Nice centrally located hotel, great for exploring Reykjavik. There is no on-site parking, so you'll need to use and pay for public parking nearby. The breakfast is good, although the breakfast area can feel a bit cramped. The only downside is that rooms facing the street can be noisy at night.

We stayed here during our recent trip. The rooms were not big but sufficient and clean. Great location right by the marketplace. There is a convenience store just a few doors down, ice cream shop and lots of restaurants. Easy walk to all of the sights and the harbor. We had asked about parking and the staff told us about the different parking zones. For some reason nobody mentioned that there is an actual parking garage right around the corner. We were able to easily park there for about $30.00 every night. Pillows and comforter were super comfy and housekeeping was available upon request. I enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The room was warm so we had to sleep with the window open. It was a little noisy since the hotel is located on a corner and our room faced the street. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Good breakfast with lots of options. The fresh bread was delicious.

We were so happy to have chosen this hotel for the end of our trip. The room was spacious and the location couldn’t have been better, short walk to Rainbow Road where all the shops are. Breakfast was excellent. Parking can be a challenge though. There’s a P1 parking lot right outside the hotel, but it’s often full. We ended up parking farther away and walking about 8 minutes with our luggage to get to the hotel. Still, it was absolutely worth it.

Spend 5 nights at Hotel Reykjavík Centrum. Very nice and service minded staff, nice large room and good breakfast. The hotel is located in the calm part of the city center, yet city centre still within walking distance. The hotel consists of 3 houses which have been connected. This has been done in a very respectful and interesting way, which has preserved the original street view of the houses. Although it’s 3 separate houses moving about inside the hotel works seamlessly. Would happily come back.

It is difficult to find something negative about the hotel. Friendly staff, cosy place with possibilities to sit outside the corridor at each floor (for max. 4 persons), Great breakfast and very comfortable rooms.||Perhaps the only problems is the name. Many hotels around use the name "Central" - I counted at least 4 in perimeter of 200 meters. SO, you continue to walk around with your suitcase until you find this hotel (driver drops you close to "Central plaza"!||Highly recommended, in contrary to other hotel later on.

My wife and I arrived very late but staff were quick to respond via email that late arrival would not be an issue. The person who checked us in was expecting us, and got us in our room quickly and easily. We did not have breakfast included (I believe because I booked through a third part site), and so we opted out of paying for it and instead got pastries and coffee from a nearby bakery. We really appreciated the later check-out time of noon (a whole hour later than what most hotels offer!) and took full advantage of it. Once we checked out, staff was able to store our bags and order a taxi to pick us up at a later time. ||The room was fairly expensive, but the location was very central and we easily walked to the few stores we wanted to visit before our flight home. The building itself is also very interesting looking! My biggest complaint is that the room was very hot, and it was impossible to open the window, even a little. It was close to 60 degrees the day we visited, but the room felt even hotter!

Great choice for a central location. The rooms, although small, were clean and well equipped. The shower was tiny in our room on the 4th floor, I'm told by friends on the 2nd floor theirs was bigger. Also, 2 of us had paid around the same rate, but mine did not include breakfast and theirs did. Poon at the front desk was super helpful and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. We will stay again if/when we come back to Reykjavik.
