Hotel Reykjavik Centrum

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect walking distance to most places. Staff was helpful and helped us book one of our excursions. The rooms were simple and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was decent. No extras or frills but perfect for the value. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel from a cruise and we delighted to be able to check into our room early. Room was pristine and warm. Coffee in lobby on tap. Good choice for breakfast. Centrally located but not noisy. Receptionists are so friendly and helpful. Kristyna booked all our excursions with minimum of fuss and loads of helpful advice. Managed the timing perfectly for us. Would highly recommend Hotel Centrum if visiting Reykavik.

Very comfortable hotel in walking distance of most of the sights you'd want to visit in Reykjavik. The staff were extremely friendly, and our hotel room was fine for the night. Beds were very comfy although there was very little room to open our bags. My husband used the area in the closet and I used the two chairs and the table. It was a little loud with street noise and there was no heater controller, so when our room became extremely hot in the middle of the night we opened the window but it didn't open very far. In the morning we discussed that we should have called the front desk, but weren't thinking properly in the middle of the night. The star was the amazing breakfast. It was the best we've seen at a hotel. My husband is gluten free and lactose free and they brought him gluten free bread and offered to cook him eggs that wouldn't have milk like the ones offered ready made. For me, the bread and baked treats were delicious, as was the cheese offerings too. We both enjoyed the chia pudding and many other items. Parking for our rental car was also very convenient nearby, managing our payments through the app. I emailed the hotel ahead of time and they shared details so we were prepared when we arrived. We would stay here again when we return to this awesome city.

We were on a 1-week trip around Iceland. After switching from one hotel to another during the entire journey, we stayed in this hotel. And I must say the night we stayed here we had our best sleep during the whole Iceland trip! The room is stylishly decorated with the TV being the only minus. We love watching our own stuff from our own phone/youtube and the TV is too old to connect to our device (not a dealbreaker for us anyway). This is also the only hotel with slippers. I was annoyed when all other hotels didn’t offer slippers during the entire trip. Location is perfect. Took us only 2 minutes to walk from the bus stop.

Location was great to walk to everything. Rooms were clean and the breakfast had a great variety of food selections.||||Keep in mind that the hotel does not have air conditioning, so you have to open the window the keep the room cooled off.

I went there with my mom on a trip to Iceland, it was the first of a few hotels that we stayed in during our trip. We arrived in the morning, the front desk was very kind and recommended great places to eat and see. We especially liked the room we stayed in.

We did not realize how bad our room was so bad until we returned from dinner, with little energy to request a new room. We couldn't open the one set of casement windows more than a few inches, leaving the overheated upstairs portion of the suite like an attic sauna, with zero air flow. The room was advertised as good for a small family. We were three. The downstairs fold-out couch made access to the single bathroom less accessible, and overall space was very cramped. This was ridiculously expensive, and the only bad experience in an otherwise wonderful week-long trip to a beautiful country.

Fantastic location- right in the heart of the town. Amazing staff who couldn't do enough for us. They helped with all manner of enquiries with regards to the town and excursions we had booked. Such great customer service. Room was perfect size for two and ample storage and facilities, breakfast was great with lots of options and all fresh. Would highly recommend this hotel. We will be going back!
