This was my first time at this hotel chain and as I have stayed in many hotels in the area I was keen to see how this hotel was going to be. on arrival the receptionist was very warm and welcoming and booked me in. I was given a room at the back on the first floor and to be honest soon as I opened the door I was in shock it was like a prison cell and went straight back up to reception to ask to be changed. The window opened to the ventilation shaft and cooling fans and it was so depressing. Reception had a look and said they had no other rooms available but if I would stay the night here they would change my room the next day which they did. I was called before midday and asked to go to reception to get my new key card and room - wow what an improvement spacious with a balcony- big bed and very clean. The rest of my stay was great! the cleaning was daily & the food (I was half board) was basic but good a choice and plenty of fresh fruits and deserts. My final impression are clean friendly and the food was good for the price. I would strongly recommend you ask for a front facing room as the back rooms are not great but the hotel is accommodating and friendly and definitely worth a visit.

Very Disappointed. Pictures are nothing like what it is. Very thin uncomfortable pillows and uncomfortable beds (never have problems with my back but I did during my stay). A very stuffy, unaired box room was presented to me with one solitary dirty window that led directly to a ledge with lots of noisy machines and pipes. The aircon (once working) was high power. The bathroom smelt bad and had a little window in it that seemed to go into the cavity wall (?) this was open for some reason and again a foul odour and loud noise came from it. The bath was dirty and there were used towels not replaced. The floor was also covered in sand or crumbs. ||Spoke to reception about these issues, a man followed me up who could not have been less interested, he barely spoke at all - just walked in and sprayed some white liquid over the dirty marks on the bath.. we spoke to say we would have wiped it and he just rudely shrugged and walked back out shaking his head. He didn’t look at anything else. Reception said they would try to relocate me to a different room though this never happened as they always said it was fully booked. ||Also discovered Ants in the room (the room has no balcony or anything leading outside really). ||It is a very noisy place, I stayed near the end of the floor and could still hear people walking from the stairs to other rooms. It felt like someone was in the room at times. The street it is on I don’t feel is very safe either. ||There was 1 plug socket in the room, however 3 in the bathroom…….. charged my devices in the bathroom which is not safe or convenient. ||I didn’t eat breakfast here even though I had paid for it, as the first morning it was very poor. ||There are a lot of places near by more central and lovely for slightly more money, I would avoid RH Sol.

enjoyed our stay very much very friendly staff and cleaning standards were very high stayed on a half board basis we found the food choice good but limited and not many options for children was a bit disserpointed that wine and water was not included in the half board price only downside was the size of our balcony which was very small and would stop us returning as we enjoy sitting outside. location was perfect for everything and perhaps they would partner with a sister hotel for use of a pool in the future thanks to all staff for a very pleasant stay

Stayed here as a solo traveller in May and have a fantastic stay.|I was greeted and welcomed by very friendly reception staff and check in was smooth and swift.|My room was spotless and cleaned regularly with fresh towels.|I was never disturbed by any outside noise and slept very well evey night.||I stayed on the Full Board basis and found the food choices very basic most days but still managed to find something.||Loved the location, can't fault it at all, less than a minutes walk to the beach and gin alley.||Would stay here again. Thanks to the staff for a great stay.

Positives: Location is very good. Staff are friendly. Beds are comfortable. The balcony was nice on 501 It's fairly clean. Good shower pressure. Negatives: Room 208- A small window to a dark space, very claustrophobic. Very outdated. Lumpy pillow. Room 501: Air conditioning wouldn't work, sensor on the door was making it come on but flashed straight off. The whole hotel is outdated it was probably a good standard 20 years ago. The walls are paper thin you can hear every noise even running water. It's impossible to get a good sleep with noise from the corridor and the street. I wouldn't stay again. Very disappointed Vs the reviews I read. The rooms are basic no kettle, no fridge, no hairdryer.

On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist (Jai - sorry if spelled incorrectly) who said our room would be ready soon (we didn't expect it to be, as it was around midday). He suggested we had a drink at the hotel bar whilst we waited. They didn't charge us for the drinks, which was a lovely gesture. |The first room we were given had three beds in it and had the smallest of balconies - we wouldn't have been able to sit outside together on it. We asked whether there was another room available, maybe with a larger balcony. The receptionist organised it for the next day. This room was so much better. Two beds and a larger balcony. |The staff are all fabulous. So friendly and helpful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The sheets and towels are bright white and our room was cleaned and tidied every day. |Breakfast is a buffet style and has everything you'd want on it. (Served up to 10.30am too, so we didn't miss any, after a late night out!)|We were there during Halloween and the hotel joined in the fun with decorations, etc. There was a live singer/guitarist playing on one of the nights and everyone in the bar was given Halloween fancy dress head gear - good fun! |I'd say the only downside to the location (which couldn't have been any better situated as far as closeness to the shops, bars, beach and seafront) is that the industrial bins for the bars/shops in that area were located just across the road, underneath our room. Bottles and rubbish were dumped in at all times of the day and it's noisy! They get regularly emptied, so there's never a smell, but it's very loud. I have earplugs anyway, so it didn't bother me as much as it may have done in the early mornings. |We were allowed to stay in our room for 2 hours longer on the last day, which was great. No extra cost. Worked great for our flight time. |All in all, this hotel deserves a full 5 star review. We would definitely stay again. |Thank you for a fabulous experience.

I thought i had booked into Fawlty Towers!!! We were in the studio apartments around the corner and wow nothing like the photos...the room was like a prison cell with no balcony. Very dated room needs a complete refurb. Roadworks outside waking us up at 8.00 every morning. The stairs upto the apartment are lethal if you have any issues walking etc do not book. The food at the main hotel was absolutely laughable the breakfast was hotdog sausages, raw bacon, tomatoes and slimy mushrooms that was it - the other few plates were questionable and not even sure what they were. Basically i had toast and butter then evening meal i ended up with a cheese cob as everything was cold or inedible - out of our 5 day stay half board we had 2 breakfasts and one evening meal. Positives great area and i have never laughed so much at how bad things were ...lots of other hotels that are alot nicer nearby.
