Hotel Rialto

Hotel was in a great location, walkable distance from the Inner Harbour. The staff were thorough and very polite. They called us as soon as the room became available. Lots of places to eat on the neighbouring streets, and the streets looked safe. We stored our luggage at the hotel. The Queen size bedroom was on a smaller end, but had all essentials: comfortable bed, complimentary Lavazza coffee, with cream stored in the fridge, and 2 cookies. The cherry on top was L’Occitane shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap with Verveine scent. In the morning, we also discovered hotel has set up a breakfast table by the front desk, featuring tea, coffee and fruits like bananas, apples and oranges before 11 am. We also had a restful sleep here and a positive experience staying here.

Unsure where the bad reviews came from but the hotel staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating for my pet allergy, and even somehow managed to fit a small cot into our two bed room upon request! The room was exceptionally clean, came with free coffee pods, remarkably good cleaning service during the day (even hilariously, folding my clothing on the bed because I didn't realize they changed the beds daily unless requested otherwise), and had a small "grab as you want" fruit selection in the morning along with ready to go water bottles. Would absolutely stay at this place again!

It's a nice quite Hotel not too far from the harbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good for what you pay. Clean and tidy. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed over Easter weekend. It was a great price for such a beautiful centralized hotel. We were walking distance to so many things like Chinatown, bars and a short drive from a lot of attractions. The cookies were a cute touch and the coffee maker was fancy but a Quick YouTube tutorial helped. The air conditioning was a little much at times but otherwise a quiet, well staffed and clean hotel. Great shower too with all the amenities.

This is such a great old hotel building. The people that work there are really kind and friendly. The entire hotel is clean. It is located on what I was told is a sketchy street. We did hear some people yelling and fighting in the middle of the night out on the street but no worries because nobody has a gun unlike in America if you hear people fighting and screaming in the middle of the night you kind of duck because you don't know if someone's going to shoot someone. No problem in Canada

This hotel is awesome! The staff are true angels! The front desk staff are very helpful, in particular, Bartu who is always willing to do whatever he can and extremely accommodating to make your trip as pleasant as humanly possible. Then there is Arlene, Colton and Victoria( General Manager) who make up the rest of this fantastic team! The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff are hard working and this hotel is close to many amenities and historic sites in and around the downtown core of Victoria! The Italian flair within this hotel makes you feel like you have left Canada and dropped yourself into Venice briefly. The rooms are spacious and cozy at the same time. The beds are comfortable and the pillows I found were very comfortable and firm if you happen to be a side sleeper! So, if you are ever planning a trip to Victoria, check this hotel out as it is truly magical!!

Picked the Rialto based on Tripadvisor reviews, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.||We decided to treat ourselves and book a Superior King Suite. While the suite was spacious and comfortable, the view was certainly not - a breeze block wall on one side and another room a few feet across an internal well on the other. While well appointed, It was a shame the suite didn’t have an iron on ironing board.||The Palms, Inspired Kitchen & Cocktails was the highlight, but it’s not directly associated to the hotel you can’t charge anything to your room. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and in the bar.||Another highlight was the housekeeping staff, who were an absolute delight - attentive, friendly and courteous. The front desk staff could learn a lot from them. After we checked in and over the 3 days we were there, there was little to no acknowledge as we came and went - not even a glance up from whatever was so fascinating on the phone.||While well situated to explore Victoria, and the smaller boutique style property we prefer, we will look for other hotel options on our next visit.

The room was quite small, but well kept and clean with the basic amenities that anyone would need. Good for what we needed for the short stay. Lounge and restaurant are well run with really good drink and food options, service was on point and friendly. Would have given 5 stars, but the vacant building roof top right next door has become a nesting area / home for multiple Seagulls. Unlike most birds, they DO NOT sleep when the sun goes down. The two nights in the 4th floor room were basically sleepless due to the relentless squawking and squealing throughout the entire night. Would be a good idea to look at some bird spikes or other harmless deterent to make the nights more peaceful for the multiple rooms facing that roof top. Other than that, decent well located location for a stay in Victoria.
