The hotel staff were very lovely and helpful. The room itself was very outdated. If you are not used to using French style bathtub DO NOT book this hotel. I wanted to shower not take a bath yet the water splashes everywhere. Also the carpet had red stains (blood?) on them i'm not sure where it was from. The hotel can be very creepy for people who don't appreciate antique furnishing.
The location is extremely awesome as the ski bus stop is right outside.

I visited Chamonix on 29th May with my daughter. We only stayed one night in this lovely hotel. We both said we would have liked a longer stay. We booked bed and breakfast. We had a room at the front of the hotel on the 4th floor with a small balcony.|Breakfast was continental but there was plenty of choice. |The hotel is situated in the heart of Chamonix. There were 2 lovely charming ladies on the front desk and a gentleman (not all at the same time). They were so welcoming. I would love to return one day but stay for longer.

Rooms are a little dated and the little things would of been nice like a shower head holder and a fridge. Breakfast was a basic continental but did the job.
Staff very friendly and super helpful. Can't rate enough.
Location in amazing as right next to Chamonix centre bus stop and on the main strip.

My friend and I loved this charming hotel! Owners and staff were very kind, rooms were impeccably clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom water pressure was strong, and the location was perfect on the main street (took seconds to walk to the bus stop right behind the hotel)!

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and love it. They are so friendly and the hotel has all the original features and a fantastic history. It's warm, very clean, good breakfast and the ski bus stops right at the back door next to the bootroom. The front of the hotel takes you right out onto the street with all the shops, bars and restaurants

It’s a cheap place to stay in Chamonix with a great location and ski bus stop next to it . |The hotel is old fashioned and yea could do with an update but for the price it’s great . |Warm rooms , hot water . The shower is only an attachment to the bath taps and with no screen or curtain makes it a bit trickier . But all in all it was good for a bed to sleep whilst out skiing for the day and out in town in the evening . |I actually bought food from the supermarket opposite to eat in the room for a quick breakfast but they do a classic continental breakfast with options of a boiled egg . |It’s old , it’s dated and the rooms maybe a bit noisy and no modern amenities or spa options . But you get what you pay for and what you get is a good 2 star hotel with friendly staff .|I would stay again

Good hotel. The rooms are complete with en-suite bathrooms. The quality of the beds is good and ensures a good rest. Breakfast is sufficient.
Best of all: the location, the view from the room, the staff and their service.
The location: it is in the centre of the village. Everything is very close. At the back of the hotel you can take a bus to go to the ski resorts or to the bus and train station.
They also have a room for skis/snowboard and others. Super comfortable.
As for the staff : they are attentive, familiar and warm.
We will repeat our stay. Thank you for the warm welcome during the 5 days.
À bientôt !

Please High 5 the ladies at the front desk and tell them it's from the Texas girls.
What a pleasant stay. 6 of us hiked the TMB and Hotel Richmond greated us with a smile, clean room, and comfy bed. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious, and they helped make other reservations for adventures in the city.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay in Chamonix-mont blanc! The staff is very friendly and our "room without a veiw" had a breathtaking veiw. (I guess they are just used to looking up at mont blanc all the time.) Although we prefer a more classic rustic European rooms, these modern rooms were very luxurious and quite beautiful. At about $200 a night including a very nice breakfast with an incredible veiw of the mountains, we found this place to be a jewel in the French alps. :)
