Hotel Richemond

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and love it. They are so friendly and the hotel has all the original features and a fantastic history. It's warm, very clean, good breakfast and the ski bus stops right at the back door next to the bootroom. The front of the hotel takes you right out onto the street with all the shops, bars and restaurants

Good hotel. The rooms are complete with en-suite bathrooms. The quality of the beds is good and ensures a good rest. Breakfast is sufficient. Best of all: the location, the view from the room, the staff and their service. The location: it is in the centre of the village. Everything is very close. At the back of the hotel you can take a bus to go to the ski resorts or to the bus and train station. They also have a room for skis/snowboard and others. Super comfortable. As for the staff : they are attentive, familiar and warm. We will repeat our stay. Thank you for the warm welcome during the 5 days. À bientôt !

A Fantastic Stay! I had an amazing experience at Hotel Richemond. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Its an older hotel with a lot of history and charm. I also met the owner Claire who briefly told me the history of the hotel. The location was perfect—central chamonix, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, hotel richemond exceeded my expectations in every way.

Old and charming building that shows its age a bit, but it is still in good condition and everything was conspicuously clean. The room was large (quite a bit larger than a newer, 3-star hotel in Argèntiere we stayed in later in the week). The location absolutely cannot be beat—right in the middle of the Chamonix high street, walking distance to everything you could want, and the “Chamonix Centre” bus stop is literally out the back door (made for easy mornings and short walks in ski boots with ski bus access). The staff were courteous, helpful and patient with our lack of French. The breakfast is also worth a mention—at 12€ for a fresh array of breads, pastries, cheese, meat and fresh eggs—we never left for a day of adventure hungry. Overall, will definitely be back to Hotel Richemond and would recommend it to anyone looking for charm, value and location in Cham!

We stepped back into old world elegance and hospitality in the midst of bustling |Chamonix. The staff so attentive and couldn't be more kind or helpful. Our room|had incredible charm and views from every window. Breakfast was delicious and the|huge windows overlooked the amazing mountain peaks and glaciers. It was everything one could hope for and more. I felt I was given a gift of place that rarely exists anymore anywhere in the world. Thank you, Charmaine

Authentic Chamonix Hotel! This hotel feels like home in a mountain town and is rich in Chamonix history. I stayed here with my girlfriend in March 2024 on a ski trip. It is perfectly located to catch the bus to ski, walk the streets of Chamonix after a day on the slopes and walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Cham. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

For me you couldn't beat the Hotel Richemond. Its old-fashioned, but clean and has all the conveniences you need for a quiet, relaxing stay. The breakfasts are excellent and the staff super friendly and helpful with lots of history to discuss. Its right in the centre of Chamonix, and the local buses stop at the door. Its the perfect place if you are fed up with glitzy, noisy, modern boring business class hotels.

Please High 5 the ladies at the front desk and tell them it's from the Texas girls. What a pleasant stay. 6 of us hiked the TMB and Hotel Richmond greated us with a smile, clean room, and comfy bed. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious, and they helped make other reservations for adventures in the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great place to stay in Chamonix-mont blanc! The staff is very friendly and our "room without a veiw" had a breathtaking veiw. (I guess they are just used to looking up at mont blanc all the time.) Although we prefer a more classic rustic European rooms, these modern rooms were very luxurious and quite beautiful. At about $200 a night including a very nice breakfast with an incredible veiw of the mountains, we found this place to be a jewel in the French alps. :)
