I stayed in the Hotel Riede for 3 nights recently and it was just everything I could have needed. I was given room 9 which is a very large suite on the ground floor next to the old lift. The bed was really comfortable with a choice of pillows and I also had ample wardrobe space. It was kept spotless throughout my trip. Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of fresh salad, eggs, olives, as well as ham and cheese, yoghurt and the usual amount of cereals. The coffee was absolutely excellent and they would always bring you more out if need be. The hotel is right opposite the Niederhofstrasse tube stop, and this is 10 mins from Schonbrunn palace. To get to most places in the centre it took about 20 mins maximum. Mr Riede (Johan) and his wife are very friendly and ready to help you. One small thing: although the shower pressure and temperature was amazing, it took me some time to work out which dial did what. Maybe some signs could be good for those of us not used to fancy showers :) Great toiletries provided though for both the sink and shower. Cheap mini bar too! I would definitely stay here again, vielen dank!

We stayed here for six days, during a very hot spell of weather. We were on the third floor, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Beds were excellent, and room had plenty of wardrobe space. Everything was very clean. WiFi was free, but not very fast, and very slow in the evenings. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, giving valuable information for our first visit to Vienna. All the staff were friendly. Location is perfect - 80m from the metro, 100m from a bus stop, and 600m from a tram stop. We enjoyed using the very old elevator , situated in the centre of a stunning spiral marble staircase. We had to have the windows open at night (no air-con, only a fan) due to the extreme weather while we were there, so we could hear the outside street noise. But with the windows closed (in normal weather conditions,) they would provide excellent sound proofing. |Overall we were very happy with our stay in this hotel, and would definitely recommend.

Small, quiet hotel in uninspiring area, conveniently close to U-bahn (2 min). Stylish exterior but more plain inside. Atmospheric old entrance and stairs. Got a very large room facing a quiet street. Comfy bed. Tiny bathroom. Room basic and spartan in furniture and decor, not cosy. One lamp in ceiling and one at the desk but no light over or next to bed. Quite hot during night as there is no a/c. Fortunately there were blackout blinds to protect against the bright street lightning. Too few power outlets. Very slow wifi. Room expensive for the standard. ||||Breakfast OK. Very friendly and helpful staff and very clean all over the place. Surprisingly the hotel - with one exception - has no TA reviews after aug 2017.

I stayed in this hotel for couple of days in summer 2015. The hotel itself is in an old residential building so it does not have that hotel vibe. The entrance is discrete and not like a hotel. The rooms are nice and adequate. I stayed in June so it was pretty humid in the room. Overall the stay was pleasant. Not much sounds from the crowed or the guests. The hotel itself is not in the city center but it is near to Schonbrunn palace. The building is just in front of Niederhofstraße metro station. The surroundings have a good commercial area with many shops and a cinema as well. Overall it's a nice place to stay. You will need to use Metro to roam around from this hotel, just make sure to keep your metro tickets with you. There are frequent ticket inspections on the metro so keep your tickets safe. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is family run and they are very kind and helpful. The standard of the room was low, simple furniture walls require painting. Location is quite convenient close to metro station. |Breakfast ok. Prices resonable.|Good option for bigger families.|Very nice of the Owners was a gift on departure - thank You.

Very nice and clean hotel with big rooms. The position is great, metro station is 1 min from the hoteland from there you can go with one ticket to the center of the city. Interspar is over the street and to Schonbrunn Palace is a 15-20 min walk. Free Wifi , for parking you have to pay extra.

This hotel was one of the hotels that I really enjoyed staying in. The staff was helpful and friendly. The provided us with a crib when they knew that we have a baby. The WiFi is fast and rooms are clean and smells fresh every time I come back. Very close to public transportation and 30 minute from the airport via taxi. Also, a grocery store is just across the street. Definitely I will come back to this hotel if I decided to visit Vienna again.
