When you first walk into the reception, the hotel looks quite luxurious and modern. However, the impression changes once you enter the room. The bathroom had a VERY strong sewage smell, which was hard to ignore. The room had two TVs, but unfortunately neither of them worked during our stay. We also had a balcony, but no ashtray was provided. Heating the room was a bit complicated as well, the AC unit made a very loud noise, and the walls are extremely thin, so you can hear almost everything happening around you. One thing to keep in mind is that you must leave your room key at reception every time you go out. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was genuinely very good with a nice selection of food. Overall, the hotel has potential, but the rooms definitely need improvements.

While it feels like this may at one time have been a fun, unique hotel, we did not have a nice stay. The rooms had a musky scent, which at times smelled almost like sewage. A lot of the fixtures showed signs of wear and tear, including the bathroom fixtures in particular (which were not very nice), and the room felt dark and under-furnished. Some elements (e.g., the curtains) were dirty. Power to our room went out briefly twice, potentially due to a loose power socket. The location was not particularly nice, but was convenient to central Rome. There was a decent cafe and restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast was good.

Under impressed by my stay here. The staff were rude , the rooms were basic & dilapidated. |However, the location was good for a short stroll to the cobbled roads lined with restaurants & shops. |The restaurant located within the hotel was actually pretty good - chilled vibes , good food and nice cocktails. The breakfast was also pretty decent.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The communal areas were ok although could do with a freshen up. The lifts were tiny and old, made us wonder how wheelchair users manage as the lifts would be way too small. We liked the Trastevere area, lovely piazza and restaurants. |But our standard quad room was weirdly laid out. No shortage of space but it wasn’t maximised. They have a comfortable king sized bed in a wooden central core which doesn’t reach the ceiling so you can’t watch the TV whilst the kids sleep without disturbing them. The other bed was a really uncomfortable sofa bed, why a sofa bed would be in the room when there is plenty of space for a second double is a mystery, I can’t see anyone actually wanting to hang out on the sofa. The table and chairs were redundant as no kitchenette so also a waste of space. Most of the electrical sockets had been capped off leaving only two which weren’t next to either bed. Only 2 main lights plus one bed side light had a bulb in it. The carpet was tatty and worn. The bath had black mould around it. Just all a bit old and dated. We were really disappointed but arrived late and so didn’t ask to move rooms as we needed to sleep. I wouldn’t stay again.

Just had a fantastic stay at this hotel, cannot praise it highly enough. The location was excellent and very accessible. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and a good choice of food to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel without hesitation and will most definitley stay here the next time we vist the beautiful city of Rome.

Google
Nice hotel with a modern vibe. Good breakfast. If you’re looking for a crash pad in a good area then stay here. The staff couldn’t care less if you’re staying there. They don’t even bother with a greeting, let alone a smile. It’s quite bemusing as I live in Europe and travel a lot, especially to Italy.

The staff were lovely and the family room was fantastic for travelling with two toddlers. All the major sites were really easily accessible from the bus stop nearby and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. I would definitely stay at Hotel Ripa again.

Two minutes walk from the hotel was the bus stops no3 and no8 .no3 too you to the colosseum and the no8 too you to near the treve fountain. The train station was about 15 to 20 mins walk from the hotel and there was a tirimisu shop 100 yard down the road

Yelp
This hotel was a Priceline find for us during our stay in Rome. It was located in a decent spot, within a couple of miles from all of the tourist spots, including Vatican City. We ended up walking everywhere instead of diving into the public transportation system. The front desk was very nice. The room was clean. The bed was decently comfortable. The free breakfast was good! The gym was actually the best gym throughout our 2 week tour of Europe. I would definitely return here for the great price we paid. I had no real complaints!

Yelp
Stayed here 3/13/2023 to 3/15/2023. Super cute in an okay part of town. The room was so spacious, clean, balcony was large and the bath products were nice quality. Hotel staff were nice. Breakfast is good, orange juice is delicious!

Yelp
Not my cup of tea, which isn't to say it might not be yours. It's hip, cheap, and off-beat. Most Americans will be terrified of the elevators which notionally hold 4 people but are smaller than most American closets and feel crowded with one. The design is attractive, especially if you like lots of white and 20-something 2-foot illuminated rubber ducks outside. The service behind the desk is friendly. In the cafe it's not. In fact, that cafe was closed almost every time I wanted to go there, even though there were people about. Want a beer at 1130pm? Closed. Want coffee at 1045am on a weekend? Closed. Want a beer at 445pm? Closed. The breakfast buffet was bizarre -- like eating in a place from the movie Sleeper (look it up) -- and the food was simply OK. Look, overall it's got value. If you want a cheaper hotel, this place certainly has style. The rooms are nice and they're quiet too (perhaps it's those great soft floors). The location to me isn't great -- be ready to walk or take mass transit to get to tourist-y Rome. And the service -- particularly in and around the cafe, needs work.

Yelp
This hotel is very simple and inexpensive, right on the edge of Trastevere. It's somewhat stylish, though a bit rough around the edges. We liked staying there and loved the low cost. The views out the windows were not especially appealing, but it was a fine base for exploring Rome. The comp breakfast was pretty good with many options, but venturing out to the local cafes will provide higher quality fare (coffee and pastries mostly). The gym was a single room, suitable for a single person to use at a time. Kinda odd, but at least they had one. Staff was universally fluent in English, which we both needed and appreciated.

Yelp
Not your typical Italian hotel by any stretch of the imagination but refreshing in my ways and good in every respect. It is ultra modern from the moment you walk into the lobby with its eclectic decor and clean, sleek designs. The rooms seem to each have their own unique quirks but they were nevertheless clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and the complimentary breakfast was noteworthy in its quality and quantity (again, not typical of your Italian hotels). On the downside, the hotel is in Trastevere and the walk to the heart of Rome I wouldn't venture to take both for time's sake and for my feet, which already have their work cut out for them while sightseeing. There is a tram stop right around the corner from the hotel and a taxi will run you around 10E to the Trevi Fountain area and 10E to the Vatican.

Yelp
Very nice hotel minutes from downtown Rome. The hotel itself is clean, front desk very nice, bar with decent prices drinks with happy hour and appertivo. Breakfast has decent spread with cappuccino and espresso. I also liked that we could catch the tram or bus within a 1 minute walk from hotel. Used public transportation to get to all the major sites with maximum time of 30 minutes. Would definitely stay at this location again if I get the pleasure of visiting Rome again

Yelp
We stayed here for 1 night in the executive suite and had an okay stay. The area isnt the greatest but if you want 5 minutes you are in the heart of travestere. The rooms are very modern and had a balcony. Everything seemed to work fine in the room. Bed was a little hard but it was ok. Based on location i dont think i would stay here again. Rooms were fine though.

Yelp
I want to give this hotel a higher rating because the staff is so wonderful and helpful but that's as far as I can go. The rooms seem run-down - for example, my shower curtain was ripped, there was a small hole in the headboard. The walls are also paper thin - the people beside me woke me up every night of my stay. The New Years party was also extremely loud - I could sing along to the music from my room. The plus side is it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It's also very close to the tram to get to the city centre (or walkable distance).

Yelp
I want to start out with a shout out to Manuel! He was so nice and so helpful, and very accommodating when my airport transfer did not come on time with getting in touch with the company and letting us know what was going on. He really was a great part of our experience!!! Nice hotel. The lobby is very modern looking in red and white, and very clean. Not in the best area, but if you like walking you're only about 20 minutes from the Colosseum. The room was bigger than we expected. We booked it through GroupOn so we didn't really know what we were getting into. The room was very nice, other than the moldy smell. The beds were okay, not too comfortable, but after long days of walking around they were sufficient. Had a TV and closets, and had sliding doors on it's 2 entrances which was cool. It blocked out extra light if needed and allowed for one person to sleep if another wanted to stay up in the living area, which had a couch, table, fridge, sink, stovetop, and microwave. This would be great if you were staying for an extended time. We were also surprised that we had a balcony. The view was the tall building across the street, but hey, it's a balcony! Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was really good. They had 6 types of cereals, an abundance of fruit, juice, pastries, and the basic eggs, bacon, and sausage. A lot more than I was expecting. (If you choose to eat on the "upper level," watch your footing when you're walking down! I along with a few other I saw almost fall down them). Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to unwind for an hour or so and sleep this is the place for you. Taxis are a must if you want to go to Vatican City, but walking distance from Ancient Rome locations!
