Hotel Ristorante il Belvedere

Our family of 4 had the amazing experience to stay 3 nights at this hotel. We cannot say enough positive things about this marvelous place. The hotel is located on the lake, surrounded by mountains and unparalleled natural beauty. The hotel staff was very accommodating and attentive - ready to help with every single one of our needs - always with a smile. We highly recommend the restaurant - every single dish we tried, especially the risotto, octopus, and fish were delicious and the wine list had a great variety. We hope to be back in a near future.

We decided to have dinner at the restaurant when staying in Torno and it exceeded our expectations. We don't usually frequent in fancier scale restaurants so we were a bit worried of what to expect when it comes to prices and service etc. However, it was amazing! The service people were very friendly, professional and attentive. We didn't feel forced or looked-down on. The prices were on the higher side - but they were more than reasonable considering the quality of service, food and the views you get! The food was amazing - from the complimentary mini appetizers and bread, to the mains and desserts. Everything tasted incredible - fresh, high quality and full of flavour. Higher recommend!

This hotel was a highlight of our trip and an absolute GEM. A small boutique hotel nestled right on the lake in the small town of Torno.||First, if you are visiting Lake Como in the summer choose your town where you are staying wisely. The town of Como and some of the other areas such as Bellagio are so beautiful but also completely over capacity with tourists. I was so grateful for the small town vibe we had in Torno. If you want a quieter experience at night and to escape the hustle and bustle of Lake Como summer tourism, staying here is the MOVE. The ferry is steps away from the hotel and we were still able to visit all the other parts of the lake during the day, which we did.||At night however, the ferries do not run so it's really just easier to stay close to your hotel. For us, we loved this, and we ate at the restaurant at Il Belvedere Torno three nights in a row. The restaurant has the most beautiful views of the lake and the food was excellent. We also loved the staff at the restaurant and they made us feel like every night was a special experience. There are also 2 other restaurants for dinner in the same square at the hotel and some about 10 minutes away by foot.||The room we stayed in (Double Room with terrace) was immaculately clean, as was the entire hotel. We had a private terrace area to ourselves that opened up to an area that was available to all guests. We sat out there every evening with a drink overlooking the lake. It was so quiet, serene, and one of my favorite parts of our trip.||The staff of the entire hotel was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We wanted for nothing during our stay and anything we could need was a short phone call away. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Staying here made us feel like we had a luxury experience without a 5 star luxury price tag. Would stay here 100 times over- it completely made our trip to Lake Como!

this hotel was fantastic! the restaurant was good, but not super memorable besides the octopus. although this may be because fine dining isn’t my favourite, but it was overall good. our experience was a bit tainted at the start because there were lots of ants crawling on our table, the plates, and on us, but of course, the staff cannot control this. she was fantastic and got us moved, though we did ask another server a couple times too, but he seemed new. we were probably just seated in the wrong spot, for this time of year, but it would be good if the overhead tarp covered more of the dining area, especially at this price point, but the view was incredible. after we moved further inside, we had a better night. the woman that served us was fantastic, the service really shined at this location in the restaurant and hotel. the staff made this location memorable. the room and breakfast were our favourite parts of our stay. lots of options and a long breakfast period 7-10 (i believe). i would recommend the room we stayed in as well, it had a semi-private seating area and joined the shared terrace but there were no guests on the terrace for the duration of our stay; it was pretty much private. the room was very spacious and comfortable as well.

Fantastic view on the lake Como, right next to the ferry station Torno. Food was great! Upon my restaurant reservation I have been informed that there is no dress code but one shouldn't arrive in flip flops or a tank top since it is a more high end restaurant rather then the bottega around the corner which came to my surprise as the hotel guests were dressed very casually in slippers and socks.

After making a reservation my sister got sick and we couldn’t come - we ask immediately to change our reservation for convenient for the hotel dates but they didn’t care at all. Zero help. We didn’t come but we payed a lot for nothing. Someone could have a great time there at the moment. Two empty rooms in the middle of season when someone would book it for sure (it was fully booked).|Waste and zero kindness :(

What a lovely boutique hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, kind, accommodating and helpful. Our son was on a knee scooter due to an injury prior to the trip. The hotel isn’t easily accessible if you have mobility issues however they make every effort to help you when you arrive. They picked up my son at the top of the hill and drove him down the steps to arrive at the hotel. They provided us with ice when needed and even helped us make a nice birthday celebration for him. They gave us recommendations of places that were “flat” where he would be able to visit on the ferry. Thank you to all who helped make this a special trip!

Tried both the hotel (2 nights) and the restaurant. Highly recommend both! - the room was very spacious and spotlessly clean - the view from the room cannot be better - it was just perfect - location cannot be better - the ferry stops literally in front of the hotel. And the village itself feels so authentic! - staff was very polite and competent - the restaurant of the hotel is waterfront and was absolute top notch! Features a very good wine list that a wine lover would appreciate!
