Hotel Ristorante La Lampara

The only reason to stay here is for the view. Rooms are not good. Air conditioning sounded like a Harley Davidson. It actually worked though so there's that. I booked a triple room with sea view, they gave me a double garden view but there was no garden haha friendly service overall and I wasn't in the room much so it is what it is.

I can wholeheartedly endorse the positive reviews of this hotel and restaurant: easy access from central Reggio Calabria, wonderful position right on a quiet seafront, with great views across the Messina Straits; friendly staff; top-class restaurant with very reasonable prices. We stayed for one unplanned night (after ferry strike), and the hotel and village were a haven after the relative chaos of Reggio Calabria. Private parking, wifi, aircon, balconies, large and comfortably-furnished rooms. The restaurant is far beyond a typical hotel dining room, and the meal we had was better than anything we ate in Sicily.

We'very stayed 2 nights here, such an amazing experience, room is immaculate, staff is friendly. & helpful. Right across the road from the private beach with a view of Sicily! Ristorante serves wonderful pasta & fresh seafood!

Stayed in Hotel La Lampara first week in April 2013. I have stayed in many hotels big and small over years. This is a three star hotel and my wife and I expected nothing more. We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel new modern and fresh. We had the sea across the road with spectacular views of Mount Etna and Sicily. Why did I rate this hotel 5 starts, well I had a turn and became ill on the last day of stay. The owner of the hotel took charge, he called his private doctor and I had to be driven to hospital which he insisted doing. His words were your problem is the hotel's problem and we will see you through this. During my stay in hospital he drove my wife out to visit, visited himself when passing and translated for me anytime I needed to communicate with doctors or airport staff re-arranging my flights home. On leaving and paying my bill he would not take any payment for the doctor's bill. What more can I say. If you are looking for a home from home in a safe welcoming environment with a top rate restaurant adjoining the hotel and an Irish pub next door you have found the right place. Good travelling.

Hotel is adjacent to the ocean. Decent rooms. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking available on the street but also the hotel has parking available.

If you have to stay in Reggio Calabria then this is the place to stay. Gentle lapping of waves on the shore to send you to sleep and uninterrupted views to Sicily and Mt Etna. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and the restaurant attached were superb, food and service. A must if in the area.

Hotel sul mare con camere vista mare. Ottimo ristorante di pesce con il pescato locale di pesce fresco. Ottima pulizia. Letti ampi e comodi. Ho apprezzato la cortesia del personale. Ideale per chi viaggia per lavoro. Aperto tutto l'anno, anche d'inverno. In estate con la famiglia e i bambini, spiaggia di sabbia a due passi. Non serve l'automobile. Il centro è vicino. Farmacia, negozio, supermercato e stazione dei treni a pochi passi. L'hotel La Lampara è il miglior hotel di Reggio Calabria.

Wir hatten ein großes, geräumiges und sehr sauberes Zimmer mit fantastischem Blick aufs Meer – sogar hinüber nach Sizilien! Alles war ordentlich und liebevoll gepflegt.|Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Strand liegt direkt vor der Tür, nur etwa 10 Meter entfernt, und unser Mietwagen konnte bequem direkt vor dem Hotel geparkt werden.|In wenigen Minuten erreicht man kleine, charmante Frühstückscafés, der Latte macchiato im Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert, Top!|Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können dieses Hotel wirklich sehr, sehr weiterempfehlen!
