Hotel - Ristorante Open Gate

Open Gate Hotel in Praiano was absolutely spotless, you can tell right away how much pride the family takes in keeping everything clean and customer first. You truly feel like you’re stepping into their home with how warmly they welcome and cater to guests. The on-site restaurant served some of the best dinner we had in all of Praiano. The breakfast that’s included is perfect, with something for everyone. There’s a great spread of American options but also an authentic Italian breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, and local specialties that were out of this world. The location is really great. Its about a 10 minute walk to the marina, a bus stop right out front which Pasquale helped make sure we caught and a 5 minute taxi ride to the center or 20 minute walk. This was not my first time visiting Praiano but now I know about this gem. Between the view, the food, and the incredible hospitality, Open Gate Hotel made our stay unforgettable and I will be back.

We loved our stay at Hotel Open Gate! We did 5 nights in October, the weather was beautiful as was the view! The staff was also incredibly helpful and kind. We had breakfast there every morning, and dinner twice, the food was great. Being able after a long day to have a dinner right at the hotel was a relief. But also very easy to access other major parts of the coast via the SITA bus (if you have big luggage they do have storage on the outside of the bus, opposite to the entrance), as well as walk to other places in Praiano. Hoping we can come back someday!

Amazing staff who were very helpful with everything. Clean rooms and hotel overall. The restaurant was also very nice, great breakfast. Stunning views from the room. Easy to get around on the Amalfi coast. The hotel was located on a busy main road, so the noise from the road was quite loud. However, this was not a significant issue for us. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and will definitely come back!

We had such a great experience staying here. The family that runs the hotel is amazing; they took such great care to make sure that our stay was wonderful. The hotel is perfectly situated between Amalfi and Positano and the rooms are clean, comfortable, adorable and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. I would absolutely stay here again!

This Praiano accomodation is charming and the perfect base between Amalfi and Positano. The SITA bus stop is 5 mins away and the Mobility bus to Positano stops in their carpark (you need to flag it down, it won’t automatically stop). The brother and sister running the place are lovely and extremely helpful - top tier hospitality. They would assist with all my numerous queries even those relating to activities like hiking Path of the Gods. They were also concerned about my safety and checked on me when I attempted it which was above and beyond! The breakfast spread was good and the place had really good sunrise view. Given the pricing of accommodation in the area, its pricing is relatively reasonable. If you ever visit the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend the Open Gate Hotel. PS : Day trips don’t do these coastal towns justice.

Was recommended this place by Stefano, from the mini mart. Had a lovely, simple, tasty dinner here. Lasagne and seafood special pasta was full of flavour. Price, portions and quality all hit the mark. True local spot. Service from Stefania was fantastic, she was friendly and had a good chat with us about the area. I think one of the best restaurants in the area, offering very good value compared to some of the other places nearby.

It is exactly what you expect for a stay in the Amalfi coast. The rooms are clean, with a beautiful view. Staff is so helpful so you can ask for everything about the region. There’s a nice restaurant with tables looking down to the sea. The hotel is between bus stops 9 and 10 so going to Positano and Amalfi is easy

We had the good fortune of visiting this immaculate family run hotel for three nights in April. Pasquale ensure every single one of our needs was immediately taken care of including ensuring we had a lunch ready as soon as we arrived and booking car service for us. The room and the hotel were spotless- immaculate in fact with beautiful decor. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Perfect location for a visit to the Amalfi coast. **the hotel is right on the road- easy to access- but there can be noise from the traffic during the day** Thank-you for a fantastic visit.
