Thrid time we stayed there and again enjoyed it. No luxury, but well equipped rooms, outstanding scenic view, great trailhead for hiking in the mountains of Sardegna.||Restaurant offers a good selection of local cuisine. Besides, very tasty Pizza. Not to forget a good assortion of local wines.||Just the playground should be fixed...

Highly recommended place to stay for at least two nights to fully enjoy the experience of beauty, peace and harmony. The accommodations are fabulous, neat, comfortable with breathtaking views of the mountains and last but not least, the kindness of the people taking care of this place is unique. I can’t wait to comeback.

Wonderful location. Unfortunately the place lives on its location and not on its quality. Rooms are very dated with poor sound isolation. We took the included dinner and it was one of the worst food experience I have ever had in Italy. Dry, overcooked food with zero finesse or love. You can tell that it's done by an amateur. I felt sick afterwards. Sad on such nice place. They should renovate everything and hire a real chef.

We stayed 2 nights on Saturday & Sunday and on the first night there were about 10 kids running around screaming non stop until past 11 at night then again at 6:30 next morning. The room & door had no sound insulation it was as if we were in the same room with them. That first day was very stressful due to the noise. The second day the hotel had very few rooms booked and it significantly improved. So choose the day you arrive wisely, maybe avoid Fri/Sat evenings and school holidays. Breakfast food was hit and miss, some items were overly salty and dry as if they have been left out for hours. Had 1 dinner there and the pizza was alright but the ravioli was super basic. It would be so much better if you'd include some vegetable in the pasta dishes. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. The view from the terrace and the location of the hotel is however a dream. I unfortunately sprained my ankle while hiking down Mount Corassi but would thoroughly recommend the route still. The landscape around ranges from lush alpine to rocky, moon-like as you get higher. The terrace was really nice to chill at after the hike and watch the sunset. Trails are right outside. Would be perfect for trail runners and hikers all alike!

Second time here and we and our kids highly enjoyed the place again. Awesome dinner opportunities, great spot for many activities like hiking (e.g. directly behind the hotel). Short drive own the mountain to Oliena. Very good and comprising breakfast. Would go there again

DO NOT USE THE GPS to get here! It will take you through the tiny alleys of Oliena. Follow their advice and take the main road around the city. I booked a half board, which just made things a bit easier, although I didn't realize there was a separate, smaller menu for that, so I didn't get to try some of the items I had wanted for dinner. No matter, what I did order was delicious! The rooms are clean and simple. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as everything echos and the doors and walls are thin. On one side of my room was the staircase, on the other side was the neighbors toilet, one night sounded like pipes were clanking... It is a great place for hiking as there are trails right from the hotel. Even though the road is windy, it's no big deal to go out for the day to explore and sightsee and come back at the end of the day. Lots of things to do within an hour drive.

I stayed here as a base to explore the mountain trails nearby as it is perfectly located. The room was comfortable, the breakfast great and the staff friendly. |I opted for the half board and the evening meals were great - hearty local food|Will stay again when I’m in the area. Thanks.

The location of this hotel is amazing. The road from Oliena is not long, only a few km, but it's basically upwards on a tiny serpentine road. The hotel is in the middle of the forest. Take a room with the shared huge balcony. The rooms are simple, but the beds are good and the rooms are clean. The bonus, is the view down to the valley which is fantastic. ||||The restaurant is very popular, so best to reserve your table before arrival to the hotel. There is a choice of local traditional dishes and in the evening also pizza. We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and ate every evening in the restaurant. The service is friendly both in the restaurant and at the reception. ||||The hotel also organizes trekking tours, but unfortunately during our stay no one else was interested in them and they require a minimum of 4 people for the tours. There are however some trekking routes just from the hotel, which are accessible also without a 4W drive first.
