This hotel is a treasure in contrast to the well-known hotel chains. Located near the Maximilianeum with direct access to the park area alongside river Isar, this hotel is not good for car drivers, but highly recommended to tourists offside the hotspots. The inner city is not very far away (20min walk, 10min by subway), and the hotel personnel is very friendly and supportive. I can really recommend the breakfast, did not try dinner though. The room which I got did not look like a stiff hotel room, but like a living room from 17-18th century, directly under the roof (see the photos!). Visitors should know beforehand that it can go up tro 4 floors, but no elevator available.

Been there for Adele’ concert, very clean hotel and very nice service. But there is no air conditioner in the room, a little bit too hot, try to open the windows but too much noise.

Find somewhere else! 1)no elevator, not friendly to seniors and kids. 2) the room is not clean. Brown spots here and there on upholstery chairs. The toilet is yellowish. 3) the stand shower is clogged, water running wildly. 4)no coffee/tea bag, no kettle in room. No lounge for coffee or tea. 5) the room temperature is set and cannot be adjusted by the guest. The furniture is old and not enough room for hanging suits. 6) poor management. My company booked a room for me. The second night, my wife came, I informed the front desk, got no more accommodation like pillows/beddings/towels. But they still changed €40 when I check out. Compare to the Hilton is about €100 in the city, this place is €200. Not worth the price. 7) the dust in the room made my wife allergic all the time. The cafe downstairs is okay, but the hotel is terrible. Not at least recommendation.

Beautiful, quirky hotel. My (single, basic) room was comfortable and convenient. The drawbacks are no safe in the room, a tiny TV screen and three flights of stairs but no lift. Breakfast is great! Fresh bread, great eggs, bacon and fresh fruit and a large selection of cereals. It's a refreshing change from your predictable chain hotels.

I booked this place for my parents. Stupidly I didn’t come and look at the hotel before booking. The pictures look waaaaaay better than the reality. You walk into a tiny corridor with the smallest reception desk hidden under the stairs and you immediately think you are in the wrong place. Surely a €170 per night hotel would have a big reception area that sets the tone for your stay, not look like a grimy hostel entrance. But yes, you are in the right place. Next, there is no elevator. So you have to carry your bags up lots and lots of stairs. Then you get to your room. Whilst you’re walking to your room a few things come to mind: old, smelly and outdated. There is nothing modern about this hotel. This hotel really gives off student hostel vibes. The rooms are basic and my parents room smelled of old stinky socks. It was disgusting. There was no safe to keep valuables and nowhere to put your clothes. The bathroom looked unfinished and had nowhere to put toiletries. I asked then about the breakfast and they said it was disgusting. All in all. This hotel should be €40 a night not €170. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is over priced, overrated and there are much much nicer places to stay in Munich.

I chose this hotel primarily because of its location near friends in the neighborhood. It is in a quiet location across the street from the park. Excellent access to public transportation, but a half hour walk will get you to the center. There is no elevator/lift -- so know this when you are booking your room. The bed was comfortable and everything serviceable (although, the shower did leek). The day and early evening receptionists were beyond terrific -- helpful, accommodating, just lovely. The young woman who worked the Friday & Saturday shift was marvelous. She went beyond the call of duty to be helpful. The breakfast was exactly what you would expect in a nice German three star hotel -- enough choice and really excellent breads and a nice selection of cheeses and meats. On the down side, my room was characterized as for business travel, which is odd because there was no desk and no place that was convenient to work (only a wicker chair and a low table in a part of the room without very good lighting), although there seemed to be plenty of business people at breakfast. All in all, a charming place with funky decor and a packet of gummi bears on the pillow instead of chocolates-- I will stay here again when I'm visiting friends. Well done, all.

This hotel is extremely cute, with a very upbeat style, friendly personnel, and uniquely decorated rooms. In fact, each room has its own distinct style. The breakfast was also rich and plentiful. Generally, everything you would like in a hotel for a couple's retreat or a romantic weekend, you will find it here. I don't think it would be very good for a family or a group setting. Two cons: there is no elevator, so if you have any problems with mobility this is not the place for you. And all the rooms come with a double bed, there are no single bed options, so know you will be sharing your bed with someone going in.

The Hotel Ritzi offered unusual accommodation compared to the modern Hotel chains.||Thematic rooms, my last was ''surf'' room. For the guest who is looking for the standards of modern 4* Hotels is better not to book a room in Hotel Ritzi. First thing - no elevator. Hotel is lovely, with the charm of the past times. Great location, close to the metro station, close to tram station. Opposite of the Hotel is a public Garden, very quiet area. Breakfast Restaurant is not too big. Offered food and drinks are quite good. The entire staff is very professional, polite, motivated for a work. The bar is open after midnight, not too many places in that area with similar working time.
