Hotel Riu Palace Mauritius

We had a great time at this hotel for a 2 week holiday in Oct 2025. The hotel is spotlessly clean and food is really good. All the staff are friendly and happy to help, so a big thank you to all of them who contributed to our holiday. The rooms are a good size, but slightly disappointed that there was no spirit dispenser in the minibar as usually found in other Riu Palace. A La carte restaurants are difficult to book - it was about 5 days to get in one, so if you’re on a short vacation, you would need to book them early. Food and service are great though. The pool is quiet and plenty of Sunbeds to choose. Guests do reserve, but you don’t really need to. The beach is very windy so you need to be a beach lover to go there every day. I would like to see some separation in the sea to protect swimmers as there are numerous windsurfers etc coming right to the shore, so some protection is needed. I appreciate that there are many water sport guests at this hotel, so they should be given somewhere to launch too. Slightly disappointed that there was some evidence of building materials (tiles / blocks) still on the beach from the demolition / construction process, so it would be nice to see this cleaned up. We did the under waterfall helicopter with Air Mauritius from the airport - it was amazing. Can book this with the hotel rep. Overall a great time was had, so thank you to the Riu team.

FABULOUS! We got back 2 days ago and never wanted to leave! We stayed Palace side, and the staff were just brilliant. Nikesh in the lobby bar, the bar staff in the pool bar. Even the groundmen and women work so hard. So polite and helpful. A big big thank you thought to Kavesh....he organized and was master of ceremonies at our wedding vow renewal on the beach. Beautiful day in a beautiful location. My only complaints, if i am being fussy...Peppe's food snack's could do with changing the selection sometimes. And i don't understand why the beds in your room were two big singles pushed together. You often slipped between the two as they were not locked together to keep them from moving. Also some of the premium brands spirits that were supposed to be available weren't...However, these issues are me being picky....the Hotel is fantastic and we would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Thank you Riu Mauritius for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

We had a perfect stay, the staff were wonderful, service was excellent, so much lovely food and choices in the restaurant. It is a little way from the airport, but is definitely worth the transfer time. It's adults only, so although quiet due to being child free, there were also a few 'louder' guests around the numerous bars, but not enough to be problematic. We'll definitely be back.

Hotel was great, beautiful well kept grounds. Room was a good size with amazingly britisg power sockets. A minor issue with the shower. Staff were really polite, helpful and cheerful. Facilities were great, plenty of pool activities in the adjoining Riu Turquoise with a quieter pool in the Princess area. Restaurants, bookable and turnup were really good and the buffet restaurant had a great selection. Bar staff were really helpful and would serve you quickly and were cheerful. Step off from the hotel ground onto beautiful golden sands and clear seas, albeit a bit windy, though a short walk round along the beach to a less windy location, both from which you can see the sunset. A long the beach water sport beginner and enthusiasts takjng part in kite surfing and othets. In the opposite direction a walk to the accessible Le Marne mountain, a must for those who like hiking. Definitely a place to visit

I had an amazing holiday, when I stayed in Hotel Riu Palace, the room was nice, clean and spacious, lovely views from balcony , on a pool and beach. The staff were very good every where, happy friendly smiles and very helpful. Very quick service in a bar, on the top off everything. Evening entertainment is also very good, special white night. Beach is clean and very long , good for a long walk and sunset. The one minus is , there is no a ATM in the hotel. I had a problem with a TUI rep and manager , the trip was cancelled and I was not informed, it was a problem to have a money back and compensation was a problem. I was with TUI many times and never had a problem before. I will recommend this hotel is it even better than a 4 star ⭐. Beautiful place for holiday for family and adult only.

If you need to eat sleep get taned repeat than it is for you. Also for eat kite eat kite drink sleep. The food and all-incl. is awesome. But not enough gluten free, dairy free options. Breakfast coffee is horrible. Good one in bars. Drinks are also quite good. Beware that the spot is very windy and there are stones on the Ocean. Amazing for kite surfers. Nothing to dream more. (I am not) The room is minimaistic - no shaving, sewing kit and other normal extras. Good cleaning. Everyine nice except the reception - we had very bad communications since we have arrived. Like protocol droids with no feelings. The evening show is a children party from another side of the hotel which is lol . You need some entertainment but there is a kids party. Restaurants are worse than the buffet. Loud on the pool so not for chill and rest. We have visited 5 different 5* and 4* hotels. The food is the best)) The service and warm heartness not.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riu Palace Mauritius. From the moment we arrived until check-out, everything was truly perfect. The entire team deserves a huge thank you – from the reception staff, managers, and housekeeping, to the kitchen, restaurant, and bar teams. Everyone was always kind, professional, and genuinely smiling. Their warmth and positive energy made us feel at home. The level of guest service here is outstanding – attentive, caring, and always delivered with grace. Every detail was handled with excellence, and we could truly feel that guest satisfaction is the top priority at this hotel. Thank you once again to all the amazing staff for making our holiday so special. We will remember this stay with great joy and will be happy to recommend Riu Palace Mauritius to anyone looking for a high-level, unforgettable vacation experience.

From first to the last day of our 15 night stay, it was a fantastic stay at the RIU Palace Mauritius. As we had already booked in on the App, Gerald on reception informed us that we had been upgraded to the Elite Club as we are diamond members and gave us room 4103. All the staff were very good, however special mentions to Savitree, Donella, Salam and the team in the Elite Club breakfast area. Pierre, Sneha, Ghavesh and Josh keeping us refreshed in the Elite Bar, day and night. Thank you EVERYONE at RIU Palace Mauritius for a wonderful holiday!
