Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island

We’ve just returned from a stay at the Riu Palace Bahamas and overall had a great experience. We did have a small issue with our room on arrival, but it was resolved quickly by the hotel. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and fresh sheets, although the pillows could have been better. The mini bar was restocked daily and well stocked with water, juices, and beers. The staff throughout the hotel work very hard and were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The food was very good with plenty of choice, so we were never short of options. The jerk station was a standout — amazing food and a very friendly chef. Evening entertainment was enjoyable, and it’s easy to walk over to Atlantis if you want more nightlife. The beach was lovely and clean, ideal for long walks. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Atlantis, shops, and a few restaurants. We also booked excursions through Majestic Tours in the hotel lobby, who were excellent and very helpful. Be aware that things can be expensive outside of the all-inclusive hotel, so bring extra spending money. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel.

One of the things that stood out to us was how nice the staff were. From check in, to house cleaning, restaurant staff and bartenders. Always a pleasant greeting and willingness to assist. |The room was cleaned well every day and well stocked. The buffet was very good, particularly for breakfast and lunch. Lots of selections for every taste and good quality. Our favorite specialty restaurant was Krystal. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal.|The gym was good, but could use an upgrade to some of the equipment. Nevertheless, it was clean and usable for most exercises.|Pool was great and we were pleasantly surprised it was heated. Pool area was well maintained with enough seating for everyone. | The beach was also very nice. There are attendants available to set up lounge chairs and umbrellas. Never a shortage of chairs.|Overall our experience at the RIU Palace was positive. I would not hesitate to recommend a visit to friends and family.

I just returned from a six night stay at the RIU in Paradise Island. The resort is small but beautiful. The main pool and swim up pool are both heated and there is a private beach. The staff did a great job at keeping the deck area and hotel clean. They have lots of activities and every night the dancers put on fantastic shows. The staff was always pleasant and very helpful. It is a 15 min walk from Atlantis. The food at the buffet and the jerk chicken spot by the pool were my favorite places to eat! My only compliment is that the rooms are a little outdated. Management also needs to adjust the air conditioning in the hallways, lounge and rooms were too high and just unbearable. Everyone had on a jackets. I would definitely go back to visit.

We stayed at **Hotel Riu Paradise Island** for our honeymoon and overall had a wonderful experience that made our trip truly special.||From the moment we arrived, the hotel made us feel celebrated. Our room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon with towel doves and rose petals, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were lucky to have a lovely room with a balcony terrace and a stunning sea view — waking up to that every day was unforgettable.||The **location is absolutely amazing** and truly feels like paradise. The beach and surroundings are beautiful and really give you that “postcard” Bahamas experience. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was **top tier** — both the rooms and all public areas were always spotless and well maintained. The rooms are also very well insulated; despite the hotel being lively, we could hardly hear any noise at all, which made it perfect for relaxing.||The food was a real highlight of our stay. The **Atlantis Buffet** was absolutely amazing and ended up being our favourite dining option; we actually preferred it to the on-site à la carte restaurants. The **Bahamas Steakhouse** is another great choice and well worth trying, but otherwise we’d recommend sticking to the buffet for variety and quality. One thing to note is that restaurant bookings are quite limited and can only be made two days in advance, so it takes a bit of planning.||The **service across the entire hotel was outstanding**. Every member of staff — from the bar and restaurant teams to reception — was friendly, helpful, and genuinely made an effort to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. The hotel really caters for every need, with bars and snacks available 24/7, which added to the relaxed, all-inclusive feel.||Entertainment and activities could be improved overall, but there were some standout moments. We especially loved the **Junkanoo special night** and the **Michael Jackson tribute act**, which were both fantastic and memorable.||Tipping is not required, but honestly, the service was so good that you *want* to tip — the staff truly deserve it. Overall, the stay was **well worth the price**, and we would happily return.||All in all, Hotel Riu Paradise Island was a fantastic choice for our honeymoon. Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, incredible service, exceptional cleanliness, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere made it a stay we’ll always remember.

I loved the Bahamas, the island the culture it was amazing. The Riu was a disappointment. The front desk were really rude at check in. Make sure they put your bracelet on tight enough the first time. They said they gave us a free upgrade, I think it was a downgrade. Shout out to Agatha in service at the buffet she is awesome and Frank in security who was a great help. I wish they had more stuff going on outdoors in the evening. It is so beautiful and warm , who wants to be inside. Also there was an incident and the staff really did not know how to react, it were guests at the resort who took charge and saved a life. The food in the buffet was extremely salty and very dry, not a great selection everything was recycled from the meal before, seafood was lacking. The specialty restaurants, well you reserve and most of the restaurant is empty. We asked if we could get in to the steakhouse and we're told no cancelations, he was very rude, so we went to the Japanese where we were told if they don't show up after 15 mins of their reservation we can be seated, and we were but the food was a let down. We tried all the specialty restaurants, the Krystal was the better of them. I would not go back to a Riu resort

We came here for as a quick 2 day last minute trip for my 50th birthday. We were a little nervous coming into it because a lot of the reviews were not the best but it looked nice so we decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. I don’t usually do reviews but I don’t think the negative reviews are deserved. The staff has been super nice and helpful, the food has been good, with lots of selection, and our room is very clean. We have vacationed from tenting to 5 star resorts, and this is one that I would recommend. It is a small resort, and maybe a little dated, but I liked the style. It was pretty. We had a beautiful ocean view from our room!! Best way to wake up to 50!

I am writing to provide feedback regarding our recent eight-day stay at the RIU Paradise Island from Dec 27 - Jan 4, 2026. Overall, we had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.||The accommodations were perfect for our family. The three-room suite layout provided the ideal balance of privacy and shared space for my wife, our two adult children, and myself. ||We found the buffet(Atlantic) to be outstanding. The nightly themed options and the variety of local seafood were impressive. While we found the quality of the specialty restaurants, Krystal and the Japanese restaurant, to be less consistent than the buffet, the overall dining experience was very positive.||The resort amenities were well-maintained. We particularly appreciated the heated pool during the cooler weather and the accessible beach area. The atmosphere was relaxing and manageable, especially in comparison to the nearby Atlantis which was a zoo.||I would like to extend a special thank you to your staff. They were exceptionally friendly and accommodating to our adult son, who has autism. Their kindness made him feel very welcome in the lobby area, and we truly appreciated the personal connections they made with him. He loved hanging out there and chatting with you folks.||Regarding areas for improvement, we found the nightly entertainment to be excessively loud. While we enjoyed the trivia sessions, the volume of the main shows made it difficult to stay for the duration of the performances. We loved the 24/7 bar area and enojyed hanging out there to wach the football games. ||Thank you for a wonderful stay. Our family had a wonderful experience staying at the Riu Palace. Located right next to the Caribbean Sea, had immediate access to the beautiful beach. The food at the buffet was very good with lots of selections and the service was exquisite.One issue we have is that the A/C in the hotel was quite cold to the point of being uncomfortable and having to use warmer clothing. The night entertainment programs were very good and enjoyable. Lots of lounge chairs available at a time of the day (at the pool as well at the beach). We would definitely recommend it
