We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Riva in Petrovac. The hotel is beautiful, and the cleanliness is absolutely spotless. All the staff were kind, helpful, and always made us feel welcome.||The food was excellent and of very high quality. We tried many different dishes, and even though Petrovac offers plenty of restaurants, we always came back for dinner at the hotel – it was simply that good (hotel guests also receive 10% off meals). Breakfast had everything you could wish for, including freshly made omelets prepared to your liking.||Sunbeds on the beach need to be reserved a day in advance, with a cost of €15 (50% off for hotel guests). They are kept reserved until noon, which is very convenient. The only downside is that the beach itself can get very crowded – for this reason, September is probably the best time to visit Petrovac.||This is truly a boutique hotel where you feel like a valued guest and not just a number. The owner, Peter, often came to chat with us, which made us feel appreciated. On the beach, we enjoyed fruit and drinks several times, with attentive service from the staff.||If you are planning a visit to Petrovac, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Riva – it made our holiday truly memorable.

Our experience with this hotel was perfect, very comfortable and big beach chairs litteraly two steps from the watter, distance from other people. Even if in the busyest period somehow you don’t feel there is to meny people if you stay at hotel beach. Next to us was public beach, lots of people, I realy don’t recomend you experience that. So I would say deffinitely take the hotel beach chairs. Watter was very fresh and clean, perfect for a nice swim, great view, staff of hotel very nice and helpful with everything you needed. Rooms are new and with plenty of space, bed comfortable. We ate quite some times at hotel, good food, restaurant is next to the beach, wonderful views. There is promenade next to hotel for coisy strolling in the evening, plenty of ice cream places, restaurants, cocktails, live romantic music. So you actualy don’t need to drive nowhere else, and can just enyoj this little beautiful city. |When we arrived to hotel with car we rented at aeroport in Tivat we discovered one of the tyers went flat. Even if car had full coverage of insurance, seems wheels are not included. What is possibility that happens few hours after you get the car? We drove the car litteraly 45 min. Staff of hotel arranged all, mechanic came and fixed a problem almoust immediately, with correct price, so we didn’t need to struggle with that during our vacations. Could be a nightmare. We are so grateful for that.

After having tested several hotels in Montenegro I can say, this is one of the best. The location right at the beach front is top. The rooms are top. The food, especially in the restaurant at lunch or dinner, is one of the best. But much more important: I have hardly seen a hotel crew more dedicated than this one. Everybody from start to finish is most welcoming and service oriented. WHY? Because Peter, the manager, is leading by example and everybody admires what he does and how he does it. A true host and team leader. Many much more prestigious hotels in the region could be proud to have him.

We had dinner at the restaurant of Hotel Riva in Petrovac and were truly satisfied. We ordered a pizza and a plate of shrimp spaghetti, both were very good. The shrimp spaghetti was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were incredibly tender, fresh, and of excellent quality, perfectly cooked. The service was excellent. Our waiter Lazar was very kind, professional, and attentive throughout the evening, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of both the food and the service. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Petrovac. We’ll certainly be back!

Booking come score is definitely exegereted, its not 9.7 score hotel and quite expensive (around 300eu/night) for such hotels. But in general it's nice hotel. There is no coffee in the rooms. Rooms on the entrance side of the hotel facing to supermarket loading area and they are making nice as of 3am, consider it if you have light sleep.

Superb hotel with amazing, very friendly staff. Immaculate and extremely well looked after. Comfy bed and pillows and cleaned daily. Sun bed charge very reasonable for extremely comfy sun beds though heard others moan about the cost, all across Mediterranean you pay for sunbeds and don't get the added bonus of having waiters to collect drinks and food! Cannot fault anything about this amazing hotel. Breakfast phenomenal and high qualit, huge range of choice, great start to every day.|Thank you

The hotel is lovely, rooms are excellent, the whole building is very clean and modern. The reception staff are amazing, so helpful and polite. The breakfast was good and varied, would be nice if they served larger coffees, they are very small, but this seemed to be a standard in Montenegro to serve coffee in very small cups. The restaurant food was the best we tried in Petrovac, however, they bring bread to your table without it being ordered and charge you for it whether you eat it or not. Also they include a service charge for bringing drinks and then another for bringing meals. Other restaurants in Petrovac do not do this. Brilliant location, right on the beach front. Would highly recommend the hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Riva! The staff, especially dear Anna, were super friendly and really went out of their way to welcome us. Anna arranged everything that we requested and more with a friendly smile and clear passion for hospitality. Thanks to her, we first got a free upgrade to a room with a sea view, which was truly the highlight of our stay! We enjoyed the balcony and waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean. Not only was Anna helpful when we requested it, but she was pro-active in her attentiveness. For example, on our last day, we had requested a late check out at 11:00, and around 10:00 she called up to our room to let us know we could take our time and check out at 11:30 if needed. It was this kind of attention to guests that really sets Anna apart - what a star! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the convenience of being right on the beach was great. The breakfast had lots of options including almond milk available for those of us who are vegan/lactose-intolerant. Though sadly the chia seed pudding wad with cow’s milk. The guy who manages the restaurant/breakfast was also extremely friendly and helped my boyfriend bring coffees up to our balcony one morning. We really appreciated that extra touch of hospitality! Sun beds on Riva’s private beach cost €15 for the whole day, or free after 5pm. On days that we were busy during the day, it was nice to just come later and have a drink. Also, the guys waiting the sun bed area were very friendly and attentive, and not pushy at all. We enjoyed the kindness of the staff and highly recommend staying here! There was nothing that would make us rate our stay less than 5 stars, but we do have a few pointers for Hotel Riva and future guests. If you’re coming by car, the road to get to the hotel isn’t clearly marked on Google maps and it took us a bit of searching to find a small side road leading to the hotel. There were no signs from the main road, which made it a bit tricky. We would recommend that Hotel Riva put at least a small sign pointing visitors who come by car to the side road where they can enter. Additionally, I got a massage in my room, but personally cannot recommend it. I didn’t feel that the masseuse was very professional and it seemed like he was bored the whole time. I didn’t truly get to relax, which not exactly what you want during a massage. That was the only disappointing thing about our stay. Lastly, during the high season, it’s a bit noisy on some evenings. Sunday was very quiet but Saturday night was bustling and our window was right above the promenade. It wasn’t an issue for us, but good to note if you are visiting during the high season and are concerned about noise. Some earplugs solved it for us.
