Hotel RivaLago

We stayed here for two nights in mid‑September 2025 while visiting northern Italy. The location and views are fantastic, but the front desk staff were pretty cold and not very welcoming. Parking’s almost non‑existent — the only spot available meant a roughly 10‑minute walk up a steep hill. The place felt more like a three‑star hotel based on the facilities and condition; calling it four stars seems a bit of a stretch, more like some patchy upgrades than a real upgrade. After our day trip to Monte Isola we decided not to stay the second night. On the plus side, the service staff were professional and attentive, and the food was really good (it’s supplied by an outside caterer).

This is the most beautifully situated hotel, right on the banks of Lake Iseo, opposite the island. It is well worth visiting for this alone. Spending time by the pool, or in the small hotel garden, with the lake in the background is a real treat. Our room (Dependence Terrace) was not one that I would recommend, however, having a wooden ceiling which transmitted sounds from the apartment above. The restaurant is outsourced and was mostly fine, but not was not always consistent in the quality of its dishes. But that view. Wow!

We had our stay for one week and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly and also helpful. The location is breathtaking, especially the room with corner balcony on the third floor. We will definitely come back again.

The hotel is on the lake and we did see people taking a swim in the lake direct from the hotel forefront. However there is a lovely pool with slightly cushioned lining with was very comfortable to walk on and swim in. Lovely attentive staff and sipping an aperol spritz what watch the lake and mountains was a delight.

If I could give this hotel 10 stars out of 5, I would. Beautiful location, great room, but the staff was just incredible. I had trouble parking my car, and everyone enthusiastically teamed up to help me get it into the garage. Later, because apparently my luck isn’t very good, I slipped and hurt my shoulder. The owner of the hotel (who ended up parking my car himself), kindly offered to help however he could. All of my interactions with the staff of the hotel made this night very special. Thank you.

Stayed here for 3 nights a few days ago (june) Ok arrival at the hotel, we were able to check in at 1pm as the room was ready. On check in, we realised that we had left our passports and a quite expensive watch in the previous accommodation which was in idro and around 1hr 20 minutes away. The staff contacted the previous accommodations staff and arranged for all the items to be delivered by DHL the following day. Above and beyond service. Luckily we had stayed here the previous year so they still had our passport details from that trip . All staff are amazing and the hotel is the best I’ve ever stayed in. Thanks so much to you all.

Very nice location with great views with a nice well arranged garden for breakfast or drinks. Near the ferry to the Island. Very nice silent room with a good standard of everything including the bath room.

Just checked in. No parking available on site. 10 minute walk away in public car park. Lack of communication is the issue. No details available for room upgrade or parking reservation. Try somewhere else. They don’t seem to care. If it gets any better I will update accordingly.
